Medicated FET what day was your transfer?

Hi everyone,

Embarking on another round of IVF and I’m having a FET next Tuesday. I went for a lining scan on CD8 and it was 6.1mm so returned yesterday CD11 and lining was above 7mm. I’m to start the dreaded progesterone pessaries on Thursday CD14 this week and my transfer is now booked for next Tuesday CD19.

Is this very late for a transfer? I’m getting myself all worried that it’s late and it’s going to impact the result of this cycle but being medicated does it not make a difference? Can anyone put my mind at ease?!

Many thanks!

@EasterBunny7 @flowersinmay
massive congrats to you.
Sending lots of love to everyone.

Hi everyone!

sorry, I went on a rather self indulgent rant yesterday then went MIA!

amazing BFPs from @Raspberrydelight @EasterBunny7 @flowersinmay come on little sticky ones!

To be honest I’ve been feeling really negative about the whole cycle, yesterday, after my frustrating trip to Asda, I did one of their tests and it was very negative. Kept telling myself it wasn’t a sensitive test and it wasn’t FMU but definitely thought that was me out.

amazon has just delivered my FRERs and, seeing as there are two in the pack and I’ve got my beta booked tomorrow morning, I thought I’d do one now and then do one first thing tomorrow…

well, there’s a line, it’s faint but it came up in the time frame. Again, not a particularly long hold so maybe I’m not out of the running just yet…

@Happycrocodile I'm so happy for you! Congratulations 😁

flowersinmay · 06/07/2022 17:44

Thanks ladies!

You're right @EasterBunny7 we need to celebrate every small win!

Yey for the line @Happycrocodile !!!! Really hope you get positive results tomorrow 🤞

I have been walking around all day saying out loud to myself "I am pregnant". It's almost like I need positive affirmation in my mind to ensure this embryo carries on and sticks! Hope my test tomorrow has a line too!

Sending you all on this feed lots of positive vibes and love xox

Happycrocodile · 07/07/2022 05:29

I think I’m out, did a FRER with FMU and it’s still super light. Definitely think the wee bean tried to do something but sadly hasn’t worked this time. Still going to have my beta done this morning but lost that little ray of hope I had yesterday

lucymills1234 · 07/07/2022 07:11

I’m sorry @Happycrocodile . Good to still have your bets in case it helps shed any light.

Stark white BFN for me. As I suspected but still utterly soul destroying. I have gone through this so many times and the weight of all the failure is utterly crushing.

flowersinmay · 07/07/2022 07:39

I'm so so sorry @Happycrocodile @lucymills1234 this process is simply awful. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Sending you both big virtual hugs and love. I hope you have some loved ones to support you. Be kind to yourselves Xoxox

lucymills1234 · 07/07/2022 07:50

Thanks @flowersinmay I’m doing this solo so the bfns are really hard to cope with alone. My family know I’m doing ivf and it’s not that they disapprove or anything, they’re just not good at being supportive generally. When I had my chemical the response was literally ‘oh dear’ and it’s never been mentioned again.

Will have to decide whether to use the one remaining blast in the freezer which isn’t very good quality, skip straight to DE or give up entirely. After 7 failures & a chemical maybe my body is telling me I am not meant to be a
mother, even if I always thought I was 😥

flowersinmay · 07/07/2022 08:04

Oh gosh that's absolutely crushing @lucymills1234 I'm so sorry you're facing this alone. it's so hard because people who haven't been through ivf just have no idea or understanding how difficult the process really is. Have you considered talking to a trained counsellor specialised in fertility? They might be good in helping you to decide your next steps. Have you listened to any podcasts? I listen to the big fat negative podcast and almost every episode they have someone on talking about their fertility journey. Made me realize there are so many paths to motherhood. Some of the stories are really insightful - some are childless, some had DEs, some used surrogates, some adopted etc. listening to these stories made me feel not so alone in my fertility struggles. Sending you lots of love xoxo

Hopefull1981 · 07/07/2022 08:05

@lucymills1234 I am so sorry. You have been through it. I wish you had the Support of the family. It’s difficult being alone. Do your friends know? @Happycrocodile how many days are you past transfer? I hope the beta brings positive news. Thinking of you both.

EasterBunny7 · 07/07/2022 08:41

@Happycrocodile oh I was shocked to see your message this morning. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your beta blood test.

@lucymills1234 you have so much strength to have gone through this so many times and I'm really sorry that it didn't work again. I hope that you take some time to grieve and once you've got a slightly clearer head, are able to sit down and think through what to do next.

Justhopeful · 07/07/2022 08:51

@Happycrocodile so sorry to hear this, I hope that your beta brings some good news.

@lucymills1234 so so sorry about this, I can’t begin to imagine how it feels as you have been through so much. I only pray that you get the strength to continue because you deserve to be a mum. Always told DH that no matter what happens we continue and I believe there’s always a way, and had planned that if this does not work after using all our blasts, we use donor eggs.

I am sending you guys all the love and please take care of yourselves ❤️❤️❤️

Gracie2021 · 07/07/2022 11:54

@Happycrocodile so sorry it's looking fainter but keeping everything crossed for something more positive from your Beta.

@lucymills1234 I'm so sorry, there's no good words for how much this sucks. You're so strong to have gone through this by yourself too. Hate that you don't have support there with you but here for the chats and rants and whatever you need.

Just sending you both all the love today xxx

Happycrocodile · 07/07/2022 13:51

@lucymills1234 it’s such a hard process and to have done it alone so many times so exceptional resilience, I’m not sure I could be so strong.

well, 3hour round trip for a 30second appointment! Traffic was a bit crap but I made it before the cut off for getting results back today, so now we wait (whilst frantically googling faint BFP at 9dp5dt and average/ low bHCG at 9dp5dt)

If I could have a drink it would definitely be time for a cold wine in the sunshine to ease the nerves, as it is all I have is caffeine free Diet Coke and a dairy milk!

I hope it's good news @Happycrocodile. I found a pharmacy with frers. Guess how much... €17.50 for 2.. I did pick them up, but I shall hold off using them at that price. Are the one's on amazon the genuine article? I did get an own brand (€10 doe 2) and used at lunch (absolute nut bag I am). It was a blue dye + one. I could see a solid block second line without squinting at it, but it's not visible on a photo. However, me thinks the test is bad, it's way too early. I tried getting one of the lads to pee on the other one for the placebo effect, :-) I'll try it on my husband.
I am finishing up work now for the week and driving 4 hours to the beach just as the sun disappeared.

flowersinmay · 07/07/2022 14:42

@Happycrocodile chocolate is always a good idea- best of luck with your results!

@Hopefull1981 frers are so expensive! I paid a similar amount for mine but I thought I would rather pay than torture myself with the cheapies and not know if the result was right! Hope you have a relaxing / distracting weekend!

I tested again today - there is a faint second line still but doesn't look very strong, but I guess I'm only 8dp5dt so trying to keep positive. I'm off to the supermarket again to load up on tests - my partner wants me to stop testing until otd but there's no way I'm stopping now, in fact I'll probably keep going for a good two weeks until I'm convinced I'm actually pregnant! X

Happycrocodile · 07/07/2022 18:48

glass of cold rosé in hand, I’m out, beta was only 4.something so I can stop meds. Wishing all the rest of you all the luck and a happy healthy 9 months and beyond to those who have finally got their magical BFP!

@Happycrocodile I'm so so sorry to hear that, enjoy that glass of wine you really deserve it ♥️ sending virtual love and hugs your way. Xox

EasterBunny7 · 07/07/2022 20:27

@Happycrocodile I'm so sorry for your loss. I was really glad that I came across your thread. There was something really nice about there being a handful of people; it felt more intimate and easier to get to know everyone. I wish you all the best and hope you can start again very soon.

Hopefull1981 · 07/07/2022 20:40

So sorry @Happycrocodile wish you all the best for the future. Enjoy the wine.

Gracie2021 · 07/07/2022 22:22

I'm so so sorry @Happycrocodile there's no words. Sending you all the love x

Hopefull1981 · 08/07/2022 07:24

Hi ladies how are ye all? Well I finally landed at my dads house burst for a wee. I did 3 of the cheap tests - 2/3 had second lines. This morning I have 1/2 with second lines. I also used one of the frers, there is a faint second line there too. Not really visible on camera yet but don’t need to squint loads either. Phots attached. Do you think this is enough to start the blood thinner or should I wait to see if I see postive lines tomorrow?

Congratulations @Hopefull1981 ! How many dp5dt are you? A line is a line anyways!

EasterBunny7 · 08/07/2022 10:02

Forgot to say: in answer to your question: I started blood thinners and aspirin from 4dp5dt, so my opinion is it's ok to start medication if you've got your bfp.
