@SamTTC No I wont test early, too scared of a chemical. I've gone down the road of early before and it was one the most stressful few days of my life.

Very sorry to hear about the bloods and the last few days, cany imagine how awful that must have been. Terrifying to say the least. Thank goodness they all came back ok in the end.

Thats great you're on a trial now and will be monitored a lot. I assumed there would be no ovulation on a FET? I dont know!

@Coops0406 you ok? Just checking in x

@AliceAbsolum thanks for the tag.

Steph2345 · 01/04/2022 11:20

@SamTTC you have had one scaryass week! I cannot even begin to think what you were going through. Relieved it is good news now though! And how exciting being on a trial! How often do you get monitored? It’s Sod’s law about the follicles but you have your frostie ready and waiting for you.

@Agapanthus13 I’m sorry to hear about your line. How are you doing? Finger crossed for you it was another reason it’s lighter today. Will you test again or have you been put off?

I’ve been feeling a bit crampy and headachy - how soon could my period start if I haven’t been successful? My EC was a week ago and transfer was only on Wednesday this week. I’m just putting it down to the progesterone but thought I’d ask so I can at least be prepared just in case it’s not the news I’d like

@AliceAbsolum thanks for setting up! Was really confused why I couldn’t post 😂 hope you’re feeling a bit better now. When do you leave Cyprus?

Agapanthus13 · 01/04/2022 11:35

@AliceAbsolum thank you for setting up a new group 👍

@samTTC I did a medicated FET back in December. I went for scans every 2 days and they adjusted my meds accordingly. By the end I was on 8mg estrogen pills, a daily estrogen patch, cyclogest pessaries and daily Lubion jabs (if I remember correctly) to get my lining up. It meant they had good control over my hormones etc. Personally I found the meds made me extremely tired, but everyone responds differently. Fingers crossed you find it’s what you need for your success.

@Steph2345 I think I’ll test again tomorrow, I’m so desperate for it to be ok, I don’t think I’ll be able to stop myself. Feeling so choked today. When did you have your transfer? Crampy and headaches can also be a positive sign.

Agapanthus13 · 01/04/2022 11:54

@Suki2020 with the fyrmadel jabs I find putting a cold wipe on it after and keeping my clothes off if for 10mins helps with the skin irritation. Apparently it very normal to react to that jab. Hope you’re getting on ok with them x

SamTTC · 01/04/2022 11:59

@AliceAbsolum thank you for starting the new thread

Coops0406 · 01/04/2022 13:13

@AliceAbsolum thanks so much for tagging me in this thread and checking in. Sorry for the radio silence, I keep meaning to pop on then it moves so fast that I get completely lost on where everyone is up to! How are you doing? When is OTD for you?

I hope everyone else is doing well, I need to catch up to see where everyone is in their journeys as I know a few are in the exciting/nerve wracking 2WW! 🥰

I'm finally booked for a biopsy on Monday 🥳 and will have results 2-3 weeks later!

PMAmostofthetime · 01/04/2022 14:46

@AliceAbsolum

Thank You I had a mini panic when I couldn't post on the other thread.

@SamTTC that must have been so awful for you. I'm glad it turned out ok, but you have had a huge shock I hope that you will be ok and take a few days to do something nice.

Great news about the clinical trial though.

@Coops0406 that's great news :) good luck for your biopsy.

Herewegoagain881 · 01/04/2022 16:11

Thanks @AliceAbsolum for setting up the new thread!

It's my first day back at work and my goodness it's been busy. I'll catch up with everyone's news later, just wanted to add that I'm absolutely crap at taking my medication now that I'm back at work! I've forgotten to take some progesterone and estrogen today. Hopefully I'm on so much that it won't matter 😬 I have reminders on my phone but I'm forgetting to check my phone. Anyone else struggle with meds? I was so good at remembering in my last cycle, my brain cells are definitely not what they used to be!

Herewegoagain881 · 01/04/2022 16:16

Also does anyone use an IVF calculator? I'm using www.yourivfjourney.com/baby-calculators-for-pregnancy/ivf-and-fet-due-date-calculator/

It says I'm 3weeks+5, I always find it strange they class day 1 as the first day of the "period", it's like we get 2 free weeks where we aren't even pupo if that makes sense, which I absolutely love!

PMAmostofthetime · 01/04/2022 17:32

@Herewegoagain881 I bought a Radley smart watch

Radley Smart Watch RYS01-2008-Amazon Only https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08Z4FR6M1/ref=cmswwrcppapiiiRE5F8EMD1VMKHWNYX092?encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Off Amazon prime- it was only £30 it buzzes on my wrist.

I used a predicted due date IVF calculator- before I even had my transfer- wish I hadn't now because I'll be sad on the day wondering what could have been. Don't recommend this.

X

SamTTC · 01/04/2022 17:38

@Herewegoagain881 ohhh I’m always worried about forgetting the meds! It’s only happened a few times, I’ve realised like an hour too late. But it’s a constant fear of mine.

@PMAmostofthetime thanks lovely, I went to work straight after the doctor’s appointment and I was super relieved at first, but after about an hour of work I just kind of crashed- I was sooo tired and could hardly keep my eyes open. Must have been the adrenaline settling I think. How are you doing today??

oof the estrogen is giving me cramps 😮‍💨

TommieNC · 01/04/2022 18:13

I totally get that. I started testing this summer on cd5 and it was negative. I continued to test everyday until my blood draw on cd14 and it was really bad for my mental health.

Learnt today that pineapple is a fertility symbol hence the pineapples x

AliceAbsolum · 01/04/2022 19:12

Well done @PMAmostofthetime Excellent effort there! Have yourself a pineapple juice for a reward. Just no Malibu in it though. What a combo. I'm rambling. Think I'm tired 😁

Thanks @AliceAbsolum for launching the new thread 🙌🏻

And wow @PMAmostofthetime what a fab summary!! And what a busy 2 weeks we have ahead 🤣

🍍 🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍 love it!!

BlueSilver23 · 01/04/2022 19:56

@PMAmostofthetime thanks for thé summary, just trying to catch up a bit after being away and it seems it’s been very busy this past week! Congrats to those with a BFP and fingers crossed (and everything else crossed!) for sticky embryos and those currently transferring/in 2ww!

I have my next appt in a week and a bit so will have a better update then! On the plus side I just found I have some meds from last round when I had to stop a bit early so hoping I can use these and save a bit of money!

PMAmostofthetime · 01/04/2022 20:08

@AliceAbsolum @LuckyNovember
It took a while, I'm worried I missed some people.

@AliceAbsolum
Yuch no Malibu for me even before ET
How are you feeling after the nausea?

@BlueSilver23 good luck for the next appt :)

I found some cheap pregnancy tests earlier and I was in the house on my own- I threw them at the top part of my wardrobe where I can't reach.

It's way too early to test and i'd only get trigger anyway, I thought I'd be less tempted with the situation apparently not the little buggers draw you in.

Herewegoagain881 · 01/04/2022 20:08

@PMAmostofthetime amazing summary! I have a smart watch too but it's always buzzing with WhatsApp messages etc so I don't tend to look at it when working! I probably should just turn the other notifications off! Awww yeah you're right it's not a good idea to look at the date predictor before a bfp, due dates can be so triggering. I don't think I looked it up for my failed transfers but I did for my 2018 pregnancy and was devastated in the whole month of January 2019 when the baby I miscarried was due..

@Agapanthus13 I'm so sorry that the line isn't progressing.. sending big hugs and I really hope it progresses for you tomorrow xxx

Iwouldlikesomecake · 01/04/2022 20:27

@PMAmostofthetime thank you for the round up! Scan tomorrow to see how the follicles are doing. They better be growing. @Suki2020 yes Fyremadel bloody kills in comparison to gonal f!!

Agapanthus13 · 01/04/2022 20:47

Hi all, Unfortunately I’m bleeding this evening. Is there anything I can do? I’m just feeling heartbroken. My husbands gone away for the weekend on a stag do (terrible timing) and my family etc don’t know we’re having ivf so I’m feeling a bit lost at home.

PMAmostofthetime · 01/04/2022 21:19

@Agapanthus13 ring NHS Direct and speak to them. I have seen a lot that have bleed and it's still been ok.

I haven't told anyone either so I would be stuck too, but I'd definitely ring NHS direct and talk it through with a medical professional.

Fingers crossed that 🤞🏼 that it will be ok for you- thinking of you x

SamTTC · 01/04/2022 21:20

Oh @Agapanthus13 I’m sorry. when was your test date again? Nothing is certain until then. But it can feel so lonely going through this. I hope you’re ok x
