Gosh we are going to need a 3rd thread soon! X

HJen22 · 29/04/2022 07:23

@SamTTC @XjustagirlX I'm really sorry to hear your sad news. I hope you are both taking the time to look after yourselves and be kind. This journey just isn't easy is it 😞

@AliceAbsolum @TommieNC I am so glad your scans went well, wonderful news. I hope now things go smoother! How are you both feeling now?

@Steph2345 how are you feeling? I hope a little better?

Apologies I have struggled to keep up lately, where is everyone else at? A few of us waiting for next rounds, @LT103 when do you start prep for your FET?

I'm just plodding along, getting a little nervous about going again but I'm hoping with no isolation before and during, knowing what to expect with stims etc might make it a tiny bit less stressful in some way. Xx

Somatronic · 29/04/2022 07:51

Morning all, other than being bloated and having pains all the time my symptoms disappeared (sore, massive boots etc) so I decided to put myself out of my misery ahead of the long weekend and test, fully expecting it to be negative due to lack of symptoms.

Anyway I am so surprised but I got 2 lines! I'm 10dp5dt and OTD is Monday. I'm not getting too excited as it's so early but I'm so relieved and surprised and happy!

My first time ever getting a second line!

@Somatronic yay that’s amazing, congratulations

Suki2020 · 29/04/2022 08:55

So it’s test day for me today, and I was very surprised I got a positive. Although it’s light I’m just hoping it continues to get darker over the next week.

@Somatronic @Suki2020 woohoo huge congratulations to you both! Those are some great lines 😁

Autumn245 · 29/04/2022 09:19

So I've been keeping a secret... I tested out my trigger using cheap strip tests and it was gone by day after transfer. Had the urge to test on Sunday 4dp5dt and I had one more strip test left. It was positive. Took a first response and positive. Cautiously optimistic I kept testing over the next few days. I'm still in shock and not believing what I'm seeing. My OTD is 15dp5dt on 5th May!

@Somatronic @Suki2020 Congratulations on the positive tests!! They both look great!!

@HJen22 I'm definitely relieved that they found the source of the bleed from last week after the EPU said they couldn't find anything. I'm happy, but this whole process makes you anxious and makes you feel like you can't let yourself get too excited.
I'll probably book another private scan in 2.5 weeks since I'm 7w today, then the NHS one at 12 weeks.

@Herewegoagain881 My thoughts are with you today as you go for your ultrasound. Afternoon appts are so tough.

lucymills1234 · 29/04/2022 09:29

Congrats to those with BFPs.

Today was OTD for me and another BFN. This was my seventh transfer and I think this is never going to happen for me. I know no one doing ivf has had an easy ride but sometimes it’s so hard not to see people who are successful after one or two attempts and think why couldn’t that be me. I’ve tried so so hard, spent over £30k (and that’s all on me as doing this solo) and I just get my heart stamped on every time. Sorry to sound so negative but that’s how today feels. Oh, and it’s my birthday today, too…

TommieNC · 29/04/2022 09:42

@lucymills1234 This who process can be so terrible. I am so sorry you are going through this. I started seeing a therapist a couple of months back and its been really good talking to someone, I hope you have someone to talk to.

Also Happy birthday, although I know you don't feel like celebrating!! It sucks getting bad news on your birthday.

Somatronic · 29/04/2022 09:43

@lucymills1234 my heart goes out to you. That's so unfair. It's so cruel how much some people have to endure. And on your birthday of all days. I hope you have friends and family to support you today and in the coming weeks. We're all thinking of you xx

TommieNC · 29/04/2022 09:45

@Autumn245 Congrats on the positive!! Are you going to keep testing everyday or wait until 5th of May?

Autumn245 · 29/04/2022 09:47

@lucymills1234 I'm so sorry about your news today, it's never easy getting a negative and I can only imagine its even worse when it's on your birthday. Life is so cruel 💔
Do you have people around you today to help you process the results?

Autumn245 · 29/04/2022 09:51

@TommieNC thank you, I think I will do a digital over the weekend and then probably wait until 5th. I'm a total poas addict. I'm just so worried as its still early and it hasn't really sunk in yet

ginandtonicformeplease · 29/04/2022 10:08

@lucymills1234 I'm so sorry. Has your clinic been able to provide any answers at all, or are they just putting it down to 'one of those things' (a phrase I hate when it comes to IVF)?

@Suki2020 @Somatronic Congratulations! Fantastic news. And @Autumn245 I can't believe you've kept that quiet! I've never been much of a POAS fan, but I can see the advantages now!

@Herewegoagain881 thinking of you this afternoon Flowers

Steph2345 · 29/04/2022 10:23

@lucymills1234 I’m so sorry to hear this! I hope you have people around you to support you through this. Xx

@Suki2020 @Somatronic @Autumn245 wow ladies!! Such great news for you all! Xx

@Southernbelle2019 how are you? Have you tested this week?

@unCliche have you heard how fertilisation is going?

@Yoga817 hows your TWW going?

@Herewegoagain881 i hope everything goes well this afternoon. I’m thinking growing thoughts for you xx

@HJen22 hi! I’m doing ok thanks still having bits of OHSS but I was told it could be there for whole first trimester so still trying to be patient and not worry too much about the aches and pains I have.
how are you? How long until you get to start again? It makes me nervous before I start cycles but once I start I feel a bit calmer weirdly enough. Xx

Herewegoagain881 · 29/04/2022 10:27

@lucymills1234 I'm so sorry about the result today...IVF is so hard..it's such an emotional rollercoaster.. I hope you have a good support network around you and please continue sharing how you feel with us. You are so brave, 7 transfers is a lot to endure, I really hope you get some answers and if you go for transfer 8 that it is a success xxx

Thanks @TommieNC @ginandtonicformeplease @Steph2345 it's going to be a long day but work is keeping me occupied! I'm just hoping for answers today after weeks of complete uncertainty!

@Suki2020 @Somatronic @Autumn245 many congratulations on your positive test results! Very happy for you! Autumn I know what you mean about the uncertainty around early testing but your lines look lovely and strong! Xxx

SamTTC · 29/04/2022 11:39

those are great lines guys! Congratulations 💙

SamTTC · 29/04/2022 11:43

@lucymills1234 I’m so sorry, that is devastating. Seven transfers is a lot. Do they have any hypotheses as to why it’s not worked so far? What options do you have moving forward?
i really hope you manage to enjoy your birthday today and please feel free to talk through any thoughts or ideas you have here in the thread (or the next one once this is full), hopefully this community can give some support or advice. This process is insanely unfair but we have to help each other through it the best we can!!

Suki2020 · 29/04/2022 11:50

@lucymills1234 im so sorry to hear that. It’s such a tough process. I hope you have good family and friends around you to support you through it. We are all here for you. Happy birthday. I know you won’t want to celebrate, I get that, it was my birthday on Tuesday and I couldn’t bring myself to even open my presents or cards.

Suki2020 · 29/04/2022 11:51

@Autumn245 omg can’t believe you were able to keep that to yourself haha. Big congratulations

GirlSYML · 29/04/2022 12:13

@lucymills1234 have they done anything about your failed transfers - has your implantation window been checked to make sure it’s correct, checked for infection in lining, progesterone sufficiency, natural killer cells?

Nutrinerd · 29/04/2022 12:13

@lucymills1234 Sorry that this round hasn’t worked out for you. I hope you’ve got some good real life support round you for your birthday and that you can get some answers from your clinic when you’re ready.

HJen22 · 29/04/2022 12:39

@lucymills1234 I'm so sorry 😞 heartbreaking. And on your birthday too. Birthday wishes and I hope you have lots of support and love around you. 7 transfers cannot have been an easy ride, you are one strong lady for that and don't forget it. Sending you lots of hugs x

Congratulations to you ladies with your BFPs @Autumn245 @Suki2020 @Somatronic wonderful news ❤️

@Steph2345 I hope the pain has eased up and continues to. When do you have your scan? Yeah I'm ok, start stims again end of May, whole new cycle for me with EC again. I'm just so scared that I know we had bad luck and trigger issues last time, I'm just worried if it doesn't go well even without that. Trying to remain positive and keep myself busy until then, catching up with friends and stuff.

@TommieNC it must have been such a tough time for you, I can totally understand the anxiety. Another scan in a few weeks will be good and hopefully allow you to become more excited. It's so sad that even when there are positives the journeys don't seem to always get much easier.

Autumn245 · 29/04/2022 14:51

@ginandtonicformeplease @Steph2345 @Herewegoagain881 @SamTTC @Suki2020 @HJen22 Thanks ladies 😊 ive no idea how I kept it secret either tbh, I didn't even tell my husband until Wednesday evening as I still wasn't sure until the line started getting darker. There are benefits and pitfalls of testing early for sure, just feel so lucky to have gotten the positive!

I think that's this thread full now so I will start a new one 😊
