@Agapanthus13 Are the nurses at your clinic working tomorrow? I think most have someone on call. I'd ring and leave a message for them to call you urgently x

PMAmostofthetime · 01/04/2022 21:46

@Agapanthus13 @ginandtonicformeplease is right I have an emergency number for out of hours- it was on my original paperwork
X

Coops0406 · 01/04/2022 21:48

@PMAmostofthetime you are literally my hero with your round up!!! I find it so stressful trying to keep up and not leave anyone out that I end up hibernating and not posting! So this has been the best thing I have ever seen on any thread on here! Perfect 👌🏾 thank you so much for this!!

So many PUPOs!!! Congrats to all of you and stay strong and hopeful 🥰

PMAmostofthetime · 01/04/2022 22:00

@Coops0406 Thanks @HJen22 did one on the last thread and I keep losing track and feeling bad- so I thought I'd do a summary I also had some time while waiting for the dreaded pessary to dissolve.

X

BlueSilver23 · 01/04/2022 23:03

@Agapanthus13 So sorry to hear this, as mentioned nhs 111 sounds like a good plan or just take yourself to A&E possibly if you feel it may be something to worry about (really hoping it’s just a random bleed for you). My clinic also has an emergency nurses helpline as others have said, you could check if yours does? Sending good thoughts your way Flowers

Agapanthus13 · 01/04/2022 23:29

@BlueSilver23 @PMAmostofthetime @ginandtonicformeplease @SamTTC thanks, I found an emergency number for the nurses team. The lady I spoke to was really lovely. She said the only way to really know what’s happening is to go for bloods but I can’t go in until Monday as I have Covid. She said to continue my meds and take another home test in the morning. If it’s lighter she said most likely a chemical 😔 She said she’d call back in the morning to check in with me. Feeling much better for talking it out loud with someone x

@samTTC my OTD was yesterday. This is my first ever positive so all new ground for me.

@PMAmostofthetime ps thank you for the summary, it’s really helpful, I meant to say earlier x

Agapanthus13 · 01/04/2022 23:34

@BlueSilver23 ps I mentioned to my consultant I had meds left over from my last round. He said to email him a list of what I had and he adjusted my prescription accordingly. Def worth mentioning to them x

PMAmostofthetime · 01/04/2022 23:37

@Agapanthus13 don't be silly- you have had much more on your mind. I'm really hoping the bleeding stops and all is ok x

Somatronic · 02/04/2022 00:52

@Agapanthus13 thinking of you - between this, covid and being alone I can't imagine how tough it's been.

I've been feeling like shit since yesterday evening. Headcold, cheekbones feel like I've been boxed in the face, sore throat, nausea etc. Covid tests are negative. Still no period so no stims. I thought the whole point of norethisterone was to time my bleed ahead of IVF? 2 days late.

Agapanthus13 · 02/04/2022 05:18

Morning All, Just by way of an update, I’ve retested this morning and they’re now showing negative. I did 3 tests to make sure the first wasn’t an error. Not the best feelings this morning, but at least I know I can get pregnant now, we’ve never gotten this close before so it progress in this horrible journey. X thank you so much for your support over the last couple of days x
How is everyone else doing today?

@Somatronic sorry to hear you’re feeling unwell. The only symptom my DH or I had from that list in relation to Covid was a sore throat. Test again today just to be sure it’s not Covid. I’ve not had (or heard of) norethisterone - are they possible side effects? X

PMAmostofthetime · 02/04/2022 07:06

@Somatronic mine showed up 5 days late with Northesteroine. Aww no, hope you feel better soon.

@Agapanthus13 so sorry to hear this, and amazing that you are looking at the positives. Take some time to be sad, how cruel and unfair this whole process is and the fact we have to go through it 😢
Thinking of you.

AliceAbsolum · 02/04/2022 07:20

@Agapanthus13 I'm really sorry. What a disappointment :( This process is brutal.
It's good you can see a positive in this - in a way the chemical is good news you're right.
Take some time to feel and heal. There is always next time when you are ready.

@somatronic Damn colds, glad you are covid neg, not what you need though for sure. Drink lots of take paracetamol!

I'm doing OK today. My DH edits the vlogs then I watch the final version before he puts it up, this morning I saw the transfer footage for the first time since filming it and it was surreal, couldn't believe it was me on the footage, more tears! I'm like a watering can the last week or so.

Nausea is continuing which I'm ridiculously glad about. I've got that mild hungover feeling I had last time I was pregnant, which is crazy early at 5dp5dt. But I'm staying level, I could easily feel a lot better for the rest of the week and BFN on Thursday.

It's a scorcher here today so it's off to the beach to lie on a sunbed and sip green juice. Might get some halloumi for lunch. Not going to swim though as Google said no.

@Agapanthus13 I'm so sorry... It's such a rollercoaster of a process, have you got embryos left? I had 2bfn transfers before getting a positive, and then a positive with a live birth, the negatives are so disheartening but there is hope that next time it will work. Hopefully during your debrief consultation you can be armed with a list of questions, with our collective experiences we may be able to help. But in the meantime look after yourself and hopefully your partner will be back soon for a much needed hug..

@Somatronic yeah i think there's a bit of a delay, i bled on day 3 after taking norhisterone one time, and day 5 in my most recent cycle

Steph2345 · 02/04/2022 08:26

@Agapanthus13 I’m so sorry. I hope you aren’t alone for long. Take the time to process and react as you need to. Do you have access to counselling? If you haven’t used anything like it before it might be a good way to cry and shout and tell someone how unfair and utterly sh*t this is. Xx

@PMAmostofthetime thanks for the summary! I always feel like I’m forgetting people and get the guilts so this is really helpful. We might have to do a weekly one as situations for people change

@Somatronic it sounds like my symptoms when I had Covid (just as I was starting to down reg) but so pleased you have negative tests - mine were positive on the 2nd day. Hope you feel better over the weekend. I wasn’t on the same hormones as you but I find my period is always late the few times I’ve needed it to turn up to the party on time

SamTTC · 02/04/2022 08:53

@Agapanthus13 I’m so sorry to hear that. And you have covid, too! 💔 it’s good that you are managing to look at the bright side, a chemical is absolute rubbish but when you’ve never had a bfp before it can in a way feel like a very small victory. But also absolutely awful at the same time. What are next steps for you?

@AliceAbsolum ohh crossing everything! It’s so funny how this process makes us excited for things like nausea haha! I hope you are managing. Sounds absolutely amazing to go lie on the beach…it’s freezing cold here, though at least it’s not snowing anymore.

Oh no @Somatronic I’m sorry you’re unwell! Could it be influenza? Isn’t that going around too?

Estradiol is giving me all sorts of annoying side effects but hopefully I won’t have to deal with it all the way to transfer…crossing fingers.

Somatronic · 02/04/2022 09:26

Morning all, I'm sorry about my complaining last night I was so fed up! Thank you for the kind comments. I'm still feeling sick, especially the tummy symptoms but the good news is that my bleed arrived so I can start stims tomorrow.

@Agapanthus13 I'm so sorry about the tests becoming negative. It's so cruel. I hope you feel better soon.

@AliceAbsolum I can't imagine what it's like to film and broadcast this process. But I'm glad you do! Sounds like you've a lovely day planned.

PMAmostofthetime · 02/04/2022 10:45

Update on summary
@FruitTwistFanta

Had egg collection on Tuesday x

Coops0406 · 02/04/2022 12:50

@Agapanthus13 so sorry to hear this, sending you big hugs 🥰

@AliceAbsolum I love your update of nausea!! Long May it last! In the nicest possible way! Enjoy the sunshine and green juice!

@PMAmostofthetime the update was fab! Maybe you can start doing weekly round ups 🤩🤣

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! Something random, but I started the progesterone on Wednesday and they said before the biopsy they'd prefer me to do it the back way rather than the front way (the rest of the time it's my choice)...so I decided to try it the back way from from Wednesday as I didn't want the panic of not doing it properly on the morning of the biopsy. Anyway, the news is...oh my gosh, how much quicker, easier and less mess!! Going backwards is the way forwards! 🤣

AliceAbsolum · 02/04/2022 13:01

Ha ha, oh yes, my 1st clinic said you can do it the back way. I miss those good old days..... 😅

OP posts:
SamTTC · 02/04/2022 13:08

Hahahahaha that just made my day! 🤣 It’s funny though how some clinics recommend one way and not the other, seemingly a bit arbitrarily.

FruitTwistFanta · 02/04/2022 13:46

@PMAmostofthetime

Update on summary *@FruitTwistFanta*

Had egg collection on Tuesday x

Thank you.

I’m supposed to be doing my transfer tomorrow, I’ve been having quite bad period type pains today and I’ve just had a bit of bleeding 😭

I assumed the pain was normal after EC but the bleeding? It’s red as well, not like old blood.

Im using crinone once a day, I’m wondering if that’s not enough. Does anyone know if we make our own progesterone during IVF? And the supplements are in addition to that?

LuckyNovember · 02/04/2022 14:28

@FruitTwistFanta have you spoken to your doctor about the bleeding? It won't be your period, as EC is the basically ovulation so AF would be about 14 days later. I think EC can sometime cause cramps/bleeding, but I wouldn't think it should still be going... i don't mean to worry you, but I would call them. Hope you're not too uncomfortable 🧡

Suki2020 · 02/04/2022 14:32

@Agapanthus13 I’m so sorry, sending big hugs. It’s so cruel what you’re going through.

@Somatronic hope you feel better soon.

How is everyone doing today? I feel like I’m on a bit of a low today, feeling bloated, tired and just drained really.

LuckyNovember · 02/04/2022 15:08

Hope you're feeling OK @Agapanthus13 😞

@AliceAbsolum I'm sooo jealous of your nausea 😂 Now 5dp3dt and nada ... I'm a bit moodier this 2ww than last time when I was in great form the whole team, but no symptoms (yet?)

@Suki2020 you're stimming? How far are you, do you have a date for EC yet?

Suki2020 · 02/04/2022 15:15

@LuckyNovember hey, yeah i am. Im on day 6 of my injections, hoping I get my date for EC on Monday as that will be my first scan.
