Nausea has gone away. I knew this would happen! I hate symptom spotting.

@LuckyNovember You're 2 days behind me though right? I assume day 5 and day 3s implant on similar days?

LuckyNovember · 02/04/2022 15:23

Yes, I think so too @AliceAbsolum by my calculation, implantation for me would be between today and Monday, with Hcg symptoms (if any!) only really from wed/Thursday next week... I'm so impatient 😩

Herewegoagain881 · 02/04/2022 15:28

@AliceAbsolum I had some mild nausea yesterday and the day before too, barely there but there, it's gone too! Also hate symptom spotting!

Hello Ladies,
I hope you are all well.
I have just found this thread and hope you don't mind me joining.
I am currently on my third cycle.
1st cycle in 2019 I had to freeze embryos due to high thyroid and have a FET that resulted in a live birth of my dear son.
2nd Cycle last year, again had to freeze due to being overstimulated and have FET which resulted in a chemical.
Started my third cycle 2 weeks ago. Had my egg collection today. 11 eggs in total. Dr said they couldn't get two follicles due to the position.
I am really pleased to know that I can have a fresh transfer but worried about my embryos not making it to blastocyst stage . I am with ABC / Create. In my previous cycles, only 1 embryo was frozen on day 3 and the rest left to develop but none made it to blastocyst stage. I spoke to embryologist today and he said blastocyst is better but we will need to see first how they are developing and I will get a call back tomorrow.
How many of you have had a 5 day transfer? My gut feeling is to choose a 3 day transfer as that way I get to have an embryo to put back in.
Your thoughts on this greatly appreciated.

BlueSilver23 · 02/04/2022 15:38

@Agapanthus13 Hope you’re doing ok in the circumstances

@FruitTwistFanta I also bled after EC, bright red blood periodically for about a week or so. At first the nurse said it was my period even though it was only a day after EC! (something to do with different meds which meant AF can come in a few days rather than 14 days as I first thought) but it wasn’t period like at all, then they thought it was an injury from the procedure, and now they are checking for bleeding issues (since I kept bleeding from the injections too). Basically they never got to the bottom of it and it lasted about a week + and didn’t stop until I got AF. But I’d get it checked out either way. I knew it wasn’t AF as the first nurse said and I insisted on a doctor checking me out, who confirmed it definitely was not AF! So follow your instincts with it

BlueSilver23 · 02/04/2022 15:39

Welcome @Greenisland101! Don’t have any advice re FET as still pretty early in the journey myself but wishing you the best of luck for the next few days

LuckyNovember · 02/04/2022 15:48

Welcome @Greenisland101 and congrats on the EC! Obviously you've had at least one embryo each cycle go to blast (Your son and CP), and I think it's quite common to expect only 1/2 blasts per cycle, so seems like you're doing great!

I'm on my 2nd fresh cycle; had 5dt first time and 3dt this time; I think they based it on the number of good 3 day embryos... some say embryos prefer their natural environment and if you don't have so many to play with (therefore easy to see which are the strong ones), it's better to put them back: if they would have gone to blast in a lab, they'll go to blast in the womb... and maybe some that wouldn't make it in the lab have a better chance there too 🤷🏻‍♀️ Let us know when you get the first report and see what they say... in the meantime enjoy your needle and restriction free few days 😊

SamTTC · 02/04/2022 15:50

Welcome @Greenisland101 :)
I had a fresh day 5 transfer last time, bfn though.
I’m really not sure about the difference between day 3 and day 5. I read everywhere that day 5s are preferable to day 3s, however I also read about how women who never have blastocysts develop to day 5 have day 3 transfers that turn into successful pregnancies. So I would think that meant day 3 transfers are better if you have less eggs (because you have a chance) but with more it’s better to focus on the ones that can develop to day 5 because they are statistically more likely to implant…does that make sense??? I really am just trying to figure it out too.

@FruitTwistFanta let us know how it goes, I didn’t bleed but had quite a lot of discomfort about a week after my retrieval.

Boofimus · 02/04/2022 15:53

Hi all,
Just joining in for the first time and trying to get up to speed with all the acronyms! I'm currently Day 9. Nice to see I'm not the only one finding the Fyremadel a pain. Why won't the needle go in?! Hoping for egg collection on 6th.

Steph2345 · 02/04/2022 16:35

@FruitTwistFanta I hope you’re ok and the bleeding stops soon. I’m on 1 a day crinone too. I was told that was enough (I would assume that own hormones are also kicking back in now I’m not taking down regs).

Welcome @Greenisland101and @Boofimus! I hope you’re both well.
@boofimus I also struggled to get my needles to go in towards the end. I was doing buserelin in my tummy and ovaleap in my thighs every morning - are you changing where you are injecting regularly?

Autumn245 · 02/04/2022 16:38

@PMAmostofthetime thanks for the summary, very helpful!

Looks like a busy week coming up with OTDs, anyone planning to test early? I don't think I'll be able to wait until OTD when my time comes!

@Agapanthus13 so sorry you are experiencing a chemical, this is such a cruel world. I hope you are looking after yourself and taking the time to grieve, big hugs x

I'm now awaiting AF to start, hopefully not too early or too late! I've had a fair few cramps over last 2-3 days which is unusual for me but I'm guessing I can blame the norethisterone for that. Baseline on Monday and I'm starting to feel very nervous and scared for starting stims, anyone else here HATE needles??

PMAmostofthetime · 02/04/2022 18:08

@Greenisland101 welcome this is my first cycle- I had a 5 day transfer of 2 slow growing embryos ( cavitating Morula's not blasts) fresh.
At first I wished mine was done at day 3 as they were growing fine then

and I'd have more hope now. But on day 5 they were able to discard the ones that stopped growing and chose the best two who were still developing so that gives me a little hope. Also at day 3 they would have only put one in, in my clinic at day 5 due to the slow development they put 2 in.

You need to do what's best for you.

@Boofimus welcome, the needle not going in would be my worst nightmare!
Hope your ok- ask away about the acronyms.

@Autumn245 I was always planning to test early but because I had no blasts on day 5 as they were slow developing- I'm going to hold off until the 13th which is my test date. I'd be scared to pick up my trigger or of no line progression.

@Agapanthus13 thinking of you, hope your OH is home now x

I've been having period type pains today 4dp5dt ( technically 4dp4dt as they were slow developing) and also lower back ache. I have been in the car a lot though.

X

Somatronic · 02/04/2022 18:18

Does anyone have any advice re what kind of bleed I should be having after norethisterone? I started my bleed/period today but it's quite light. I can't ring them over the weekend so slightly confused as to whether I should start stims tomorrow. I guess I will, but just feeling a bit weird about it.

LuckyNovember · 02/04/2022 18:33

@PMAmostofthetime that might be a really good sign 😉

PMAmostofthetime · 02/04/2022 19:14

@Somatronic did you bleed come before 1pm? Is so start tomorrow if not start Monday my first few days were steady but light and the clinic were happy for me to start.

PMAmostofthetime · 02/04/2022 19:16

@LuckyNovember I can only hope- kind of thinking it could just be from being sat in the car.

I'm wishing my life away constantly atm

11 days and counting every second. 2WW suck x

🍍🍍🍍🍍

AliceAbsolum · 02/04/2022 19:26

Feeling for us all in the 2ww. I feel a bit grotty again this evening. Found myself Googling "morning sickness in the evening" 🙄 This is just going to be me now for the next 4 days. Endlessly evaluating mild nausea 🙄

PMAmostofthetime · 02/04/2022 19:27

@Autumn245 I hate needles have very bad needle phobia- I've been a nightmare my entire life and I have no tattoos.

My OH did mine, I iced my stomach over my top/dress before they went on and cried until the last 2 days. But got through it and I would absolutely do it again in a heartbeat.

I passed out having every blood test done at the clinic and the nurses even started to get water ready put a fan on my and have a lovely small bar of Lindt Hazel nut chocolate for me.

The worst part of EC for me was the thought of the cannula but I told the anaesthetist I was scared and he led me done made sure he warmed my hand and did it very quickly.

I got my OH to set up the meds too- as doing or or seeing it be done made me way to anxious.

We even had one incident where I made him that anxious he injected me with water without mixing and had to do it again I cried and cried and was not impressed,so he would do it in another room after that while I iced my stomach. I alternated each side 2 even when there were 2 a night. I'd have both in one side.

No story is going to make you less anxious I hated 7:30 every night. But I found ways to get through it and all these guys o here helped me and the last 2 night me or trigger night I didn't cry and did a happy dance that it was over for this round.
Are you in England @AliceAbsolum gave me some Adam zing advice on support I could have for the phobia unfortunately it doesn't exist in Wales x

LuckyNovember · 02/04/2022 19:28

I'm 6 days out @PMAmostofthetime this is when it starts to drive me crazy 😬

I'm lucky, am off to Kenya tomorrow until Wednesday (for work!), so should be very distracting, and when I'm back it's only 2 days to OTD.

Would love some kind of inkling, but I barely cramp at AF, and hardly at all through stimms, so even if something is happening I doubt I'd feel it. In my case I just bloat in all cases, so that I look pregnant 🤦🏻‍♀️🍍😉

FruitTwistFanta · 02/04/2022 19:30

Thanks everyone. I’m going to the clinic tomorrow for the embryo transfer (hopefully) so I’ll ask about it then. My concern is the bleeding will get heavier and I won’t be able to have the transfer but either way not much I can do now until tomorrow!

PMAmostofthetime · 02/04/2022 19:32

@AliceAbsolum my friends and SIL all say it's day and night sickness, they all had it all the time or at different times.

I hope this is a good sign for you. It's getting close to OTD for you! Exciting 🤞🏼

I'm getting lazy I lie down after my pessary and then I don't want to move again.

I'm also googling Morula, cavitating Morula and early blast constantly and comparing pictures to my embies.
Then I'm googling the above and adding success stories.
I'm googling every twinge I have.

I'm going to go insane

Also that was supposed to say Amazing in my last post.
X

PMAmostofthetime · 02/04/2022 19:33

@FruitTwistFanta do you not have an emergency number to ring?one was in my pack for weekends and out of hours x

PMAmostofthetime · 02/04/2022 19:36

@LuckyNovember How amazing, what a wonderful work trip! Hope that takes your mind off it a lot.
I'm going back to the office next week away from the tests.

I have also been googling- how do Un-implanted embryos leave your body? Like I'm guna hunt for them like a mad woman and put them back in 😂🤣.

Losing the plot with 11 days to go 🙈

Somatronic · 02/04/2022 19:48

@PMAmostofthetime thank you for responding. It's steady but light for day 1 bleeding but picking up a bit. It started late last night so I'll take today as day 1.

Herewegoagain881 · 02/04/2022 20:06

@Somatronic I think my bleeding was lighter and shorter than my normal period when I came off norhisterone
