IVF/FET October/November 21

I think I'm a bit early on some of the other threads so starting one for October/November 😊

1st fresh cycle in august ended in CP.

Booked for follow up consultation 30th September so hopefully I'll be able to transfer late October early November 🤞🏼

5 frozen blasts. Hoping to transfer 2 this time round but I'm not sure they'll let me 😬

Thanks for asking after me @strawberrysummer19 I'm doing OK. This week is going fast and I'm dreading Monday, I can't face bad news so happy to wait. I also feel more pregnant which is odd and I don't trust my mind or my body at all.
How are you, are you close to test day?

@IVFGotThis05 my transfer is on Friday. I just checked my Google photos and I actually tested one week after transfer not five days so I'll probably do the same this time. I can't stand not knowing and need to prepare myself if AF is going to show if it hasn't by then.

@paintfairy fingers crossed for you, from what you have said over the last few pages that I managed to catch up on your symptoms sound positive so I hope that turns into a BFP for you.

@VenusStarr hope time continues to go fast for you. The fact that you feel pregnant is definitely a great sign, fingers crossed 🤞

I might test one day early as we have a dinner party on 26th and I won’t enjoy it if I’m thinking about OTD, I’ve done this three times before and I think an early warning is good.

@VenusStarr that sounds very positive. I'm sure will be a good update.

I'm feeling very full and bloated but ok other than that. Otd is Friday 😬but waiting for af nervously x

@strawberrysummer19 I was wondering if AF had remained away! I still keep dreading going to the toilet.

@Hufflepuff1 I think it's so hard because most of it will be the progesterone. I honestly expected to be spotting by now. But whilst I'm pleased I'm not, I'm not sure it means anything either. I'm terrified to test to be honest.

@paintfairy I'm actually surprised I haven't come on ! But I still have time I guess

Your otd is same as mine even though you transferred a day earlier - funny how clinics have different days

I'm so scared to test I haven't been bought my tests ! I went to but I think I will order tomorrow if af hasn't come as I can't even come to do that how silly!! X

Hi everyone - hope all your TWW are going okay and good luck to those having transfer this week.

Has anyone here had an IVF cycle before that's been BFN? If so - can I ask a question? I stopped meds on Saturday and started bleeding yesterday and OMG, I'm in so much pain and it's so heavy - I'm guessing this is normal?! And did you find that your actual period came back 'on time' (roughly 28 days from stopping meds) or was it late? Thank you! Xxx

@strawberrysummer19 yeah that's why I think I'll be ok to test tomorrow, as my day is really late.
@SunshineAndScience I'm expecting mine to be heavy and painful and I'm not looking forwards to that! What a delight all of this is!

@SunshineAndScience my failed cycle in June resulted in a heavy painful period but my cycle returned like clockwork

@paintfairy yes I think you will too, it does seem late - I thought my date was late, I'm so tempted to test tomorrow but I just don't know
It won't be in the morning as I don't have any tests but maybe in the evening of Thursday instead of the morning I'm still not sure
Then I can digest the bad news if it is over the evening rather than on the school run and then going to work! X

@SunshineAndScience I’ve had three failed transfers before and usually found the withdrawal bleed was very heavy. My period the next month was 9 days late and 7 days late from two of them and on time from the other.
I’ve been worrying that I should have had blood clotting and NK tests before having our last embryos transferred from cycle 2 but the clinic were pretty clear they thought it was pointless and they don’t prescribe steroids anyway, so I’d have had to move my embryos somewhere else.
At least I know the clinic in Czech Republic where we will go for a 3rd and final cycle does prescribe blood thinners and steroids and are likely to do so empirically based on my having so many failed transfers of seemingly good quality blasts.

@sunshineAndScience I had a heavy bleed when I had my BFP . Which obviously turned negative. I've been off meds for 3 weeks tomorrow. I've not had another bleed yet . So im hoping it will be in the next week or so . My cycles are usually 24 days . X hope your getting on okay . X

I’ve just double checked and I am due to test in 28th. Do you think that’s quite late considering my transfer was 16th? The wait is hard isn’t it. I’m analysing every symptom but know that it’s the cyclogest! Are there any signs we should be looking out for different to cyclogest symptoms or are they all the same as pregnancy?

Love having this space where everyone is experiencing all of this together. So good to have the support

@makeithappen2022 I think that's the same for me - I transferred on 7th and my otd is tomorrow

@makeithappen2022 did transfer a day 3 or day 5? You generally test 2 days later if you transferred a day 3

But in saying that you’re only a day after me and we transferred in the same day

Holy shit. Was nearly crying before the result showed as I was so sure it hadn't worked. 😱

Oh gosh. It all sounds really tough 💐. I'm already thinking of back up plans and next steps, especially given our middle-to-lower quality blastocyst that we transferred.

We don't even know how many more transfers we'll get from this cycle as 10 of our eggs were frozen on day 1. In Germany you're not allowed to grow anything to day 5 that you don't want to put back fresh. Apparently after that point it counts as a human and you're not allowed to freeze humans (???). Although if you end up with more you can freeze them and say it's a medical emergency. My doctor struggled to keep a straight face telling me that as I was already laughing at how ridiculous it is. We grew 5 to day 5 as we said we wanted twins and then changed our minds last minute. I saw someone else say they were in Germany too?

I'm hoping there's a couple of high quality blastocysts in our remaining 10. How many blastocysts is it normal to get from 10?

I have a twinge this morning in a very specific spot so I'm a bit more optimistic. I also thought I felt sick but it turned out just to be a burp 😂

@paintfairy omg amazing !!!! I'm so happy for you !!! How are you feeling?

I was wondering if evening is ok to test but I don't have any frer so would have to buy a clear blue as tomorrow would be so hard finding out a negative and then going to work!!!
