I think I'm a bit early on some of the other threads so starting one for October/November 😊

1st fresh cycle in august ended in CP.

Booked for follow up consultation 30th September so hopefully I'll be able to transfer late October early November 🤞🏼

5 frozen blasts. Hoping to transfer 2 this time round but I'm not sure they'll let me 😬

@Gensola congratulations on being PUPO!

MrsC2018 · 16/11/2021 15:03

@CycleGirl20 I had 2 transferred at 37 and previously at 35 because I've had 3 single 4BB blasts fail as well as getting one singleton pregnancy from 2 double transfers. Not a big risk for me to have double transfers unfortunately, I don't appear to get pregnant easily even with good quality embryos. Double transfers for me just mean I'm putting my body through fewer IVF transfers

CycleGirl20 · 16/11/2021 15:35

@MrsC2018 that makes sense. I felt a bit on the spot to make the right decision yesterday but sounds like it's the right choice for my first go to have just the one

MrsC2018 · 16/11/2021 15:51

@CycleGirl20 that was a bit mean of them to give you that decision I think! I don't mind the prospect of having 2 babies, however I do mind the increased risk of miscarriage, abnormalities and premature birth - let alone all of the extra risks to maternal health that twins bring so don't take the decision for a double transfer lightly. To put that on you on your first go was unfair! I wouldn't second guess yourself, you make the right decision for where you are on your journey

Chrischross · 16/11/2021 15:56

Is anyone else having transfers this week? I transferred a day 5 frozen blast this morning. I can’t quite believe we did. Official test day is the 27th

CycleGirl20 · 16/11/2021 16:06

@Chrischross congratulations! There's a few of us transfering yesterday & today

Cayandsimit · 16/11/2021 16:09

@CycleGirl20 I think you made the right decision. I was 34 and got two embryos each time in my both transfers and they didn't work. They were all in different quality levels. After the first transfer, I consulted a professor in reproductive medicine to get a second opinion and she told me that she doesn't recommend transferring two different quality embryos at the same time.
Even though I would love to have twins, I think I will also ask for a single transfer if I get different quality embryos in my upcoming cycle.

IVFGotThis05 · 16/11/2021 16:14

Yeah @Chrischross I transferred yesterday too ! My clinic do 9 day post transfer test so it'll be Wednesday 24th for me :)

I am very very bloated today and feel like I have been working too hard and im so tired now ! Roll on 5pm, I need some rest !

Gensola · 16/11/2021 17:11

@Chrischross I transferred today!

@Cayandsimit you have me a little worried as I had two embryos transferred today Sad do you remember how different yours were in grade? I had a 5AB and 5BC put back

Cayandsimit · 16/11/2021 17:32

@Gensola nooo, please don't be worried 😟 I am really sorry if this made you worried.

In my fresh transfer, they were day 3 embryos and we have a different grading system in Germany. They were VERY different. One was A+ and the other one was C. And the frozen round was B something and the second one had just 6 cells as far as I remember so it was very very weak. Nothing like your beautiful 5AB and 5BC 😉 we later found out blood coagulation issue and slightly high NK, so these might also be the reasons why it didn't work for me.
I hope this explanation makes you calm. Sending you love ❣️

CycleGirl20 · 16/11/2021 18:25

Does anyone else have weird pains? I have mild period like pains/cramps

Chrischross · 16/11/2021 19:07

@Gensola and @IVFGotThis05 congrats on being PUPO. How are you feeling?

Still feels so surreal. I’m actually quite a bit sore down below and have never been like this with my other transfers.

Gensola · 16/11/2021 20:04

@Cayandsimit thank you 💕 it does sound maybe like yours were more different but I do wish my clinic had told me that before letting me transfer two, at least I’d have been more informed!

@Chrischross and @CycleGirl20 I had some mild cramps earlier, I have now eaten a huge pizza so that’s distracted me a bit!

CycleGirl20 · 16/11/2021 20:07

@Gensola I'm wondering why my clinic let me transfer an early blastocyst when, from googling, it looks like they'd have been better to let it get to regular blastocyst stage and freeze if too late! I guess worrying about stuff is what the 2ww is about

Holskey · 16/11/2021 20:26

@CycleGirl20 the tww is all about second guessing! Fwiw my successful FET was 6dpo (standard practice at my clinic), so even if your embryo didn't get to blast stage until the next day, it's likely not beyond the implantation window.

makeithappen2022 · 16/11/2021 21:30

Hi ladies! Lots of transfers these past couple of days which is excellent. Ours went through too… we had one make it so no back ups frozen but it was a 4AA so I’m very pleased with that after it looked unlikely we were even going to get one. The 2ww begins… but we have each other 🤞🏼🤞🏼💗💗

strawberrysummer19 · 16/11/2021 22:02

Has anyone felt constipated ? I've had a horrible dull ache for a few days but tonight they've at times felt like period pains but now they feel like sharp pains and in around my belly button it's quite uncomfortable

I tried prune juice but I cannot stand the taste it made me feel sick !

Any other remedies ? Sure it's because I haven't been to the toilet as much as I should
X

paintfairy · 16/11/2021 22:24

@strawberrysummer19 yep. And had trapped wind. At times I didn't even know it was that and just thought I was dying. 🤣 2am seems to be a favourite time. I'm so fed up of the progesterone now.

Gensola · 17/11/2021 07:05

@CycleGirl20 I’ve been wondering something similar - I was put onto progesterone 6 days before FET so last Wednesday for a transfer on Tues at 12, but it seems a lot of clinics do 5 days so was wondering if that affects chances too?! How short is the implantation window, does anyone know?
I’m only day 1 past transfer and already going crazy 😂
Thankfully my work is very busy so I won’t have too much time to obsess, the main thing will be trying to build in time in the day to rest and de stress a bit from work as I’m sure stress isn’t helpful.
I’m also trying to focus on the next cycle, that may sound weird but just thinking that they do advise a course of three cycles for best success and this is only cycle 2, and that we have every chance of success if we try again is somehow helping me!

paintfairy · 17/11/2021 07:51

@Gensola I read something really useful that I don't think I saved unhelpfully. But a 5 day blast will start implanting 3 days after transfer. Although for some people it does seem to be sooner.
@strawberrysummer19 12 last night with the trapped wind and I was awake 3 bloody hours! 😫 My boobs are also killing. When the wind finally eased i had hot hands and feet and still couldn't sleep. 🙄

Gensola · 17/11/2021 08:05

@paintfairy that is interesting, it’s weird to think of the embryos just floating around in there!!
I haven’t been too bad with progesterone side effects except for terrible nightmares - two nights in a row now I’ve woken up in a sweat from really bad dreams. And I’m exhausted, which I remember from last time.

strawberrysummer19 · 17/11/2021 08:05

@paintfairy sounds awful but also very promising ? I don't have sore boobs now and this pain in my tummy although seems gassy it does also seem like period pain so sure it's on its way - I had come on by today last time so I'm definitely expecting it

Did you have this with progesterone before? X

paintfairy · 17/11/2021 08:13

@strawberrysummer19 I've had some AF type cramps but then I couldn't work out if they were digestive. Because they do feel the same. My digestive system is all over and sometimes it's lower, sometimes stomach, sometimes lots of burping. Thankfully, bar some issues last week, in the morning I manage to go to the toilet and everything calms down for a bit. Night time is horrific.
When I've had progesterone before on just a normal cycle I only got headaches. When I had it with iui I did get bad pains then from trigger until about a week after. Then it calmed down. My boobs always hurt on it, yes. But I would be expecting everything to start easing by now and it isn't. Whether it's just because with ivf everything in your system is so massively high to begin with? But clearly my body does not like it. 🤣

strawberrysummer19 · 17/11/2021 08:48

@paintfairy ah I see yeah mines very similar - apart from I'm not going to the toilet often enough! So sure it's from that. I've just had enough of meds now and as much as I really want to be pregnant I feel if I'm not then I'm ready to stop the meds now! Last time I bled and still had to take the meds for 3 days until otd even though I had a full blown period ! It was horrid but least we will know soon
I'm working Friday and have to do so the school run and not home until gone 5 so not even sure when I'll test if I get that far!! X

strawberrysummer19 · 17/11/2021 09:38

@VenusStarr how are you doing ? Hope you are well and sure you are counting down until Monday xx
