Thanks for setting up a new thread @Bells3032 :)

My clinic just called, my progesterone is 56.4 and above what they like, so that's positive. They've also booked me for a beta blood test 2 days before my Otd.... 😬😬😬 I'm scared. I don't want to get a phonecall that bursts my bubble. X

@strawberrysummer19 Great news! Hope you get good numbers for EC and enjoy your injection free day!

@Bells3032 sorry to hear about your cycle. It is so frustrating when our bodies refuse to cooperate... I have had very different outcomes over the many cycles I have had. There doesn’t seem to be any logic to it...

I have another scan tomorrow to see how my lining is doing. Feeling very nervous as the result will determine whether I get to have a transfer or the cycle gets cancelled...I have had both outcomes previously at this stage so it feels a bit like the lottery...

So clinic called. they said they're gonna give me til Wednesday to see if things improve and then make a decision. so another 24 hours of absolute anxiety.

This is the second time I've revved up for a transfer. I've never even got the chance to try and get pregnant yet.

I just don't know how others deal with this. I just want to collapse on the floor and cry

Thanks for the tag @VenusStarr I thought I'd come find you as I have my notifications off.

@Bells3032 that sounds like a hellish wait, so sorry! Really hoping it all works out for the best for you! 🤞🏾

@VenusStarr Thanks for the tag

@Bells3032 Hopefully they keep going with cycle. Someone else on this page went ahead with a single egg collected and got a nice day 5 blast.

My clinic finally called back and we've officially been ok'd to get going with drugs tomorrow. Little confused as they arranged a scan for next Thursday for me, but on my portal its showing up with a scan next Monday as well. I'll need to send a message to ask about it tomorrow, but for now I'm just pleased they got back to me eventually and we can finally get started!

Thanks @Bells3032 and @VenusStarr!

@Georgie87B, @VenusStarr After attempts of trying naturally and thinking every month I got pregnant, then 2 unsuccessful IUIs and 1 ICSI this round of ICSI I am not running to test earlier either... I do not know now but at least I am also not disappointed yet. Will just test on the OTD.

@Hoping4baby21, 1st time I had the trigger at largest follicles of 18mm, but I thought it was too early... 2nd time they didn't trigger for 1 more day even though some follicles were already above 20.

@2mumlife
Looks like they test more in the UK. Is PGD also common to have or based on some indications?

@Bells3032 I feel you.
In my first clinic they had terrible planning. They wouldn't plan you in in advance, I had to call on the 1st day of my cycle to see if I can start. They also sent us to several IUIs first despite heavy male factor, then one cycle we missed ovulation, then when they finally gave a go for ICSI and I called at my 1st cycle day, they all of a sudden said I had to do hysteroscopy. That's after months of first seeing smth that could potentially be a very small polyp and deciding not to do anything about it! Then they also didn't have appointments for hysteroscopy for that month anymore and I was calling different other clinics to see if I could do it there without losing another cycle (hysteroscopy showed no polyp btw). Then 2 cycles I would call and they would say no places to start IVF that month. Last time they did it I cried so long and felt so miserable and helpless. Next day they called me back and said that somebody didn't start so I could start if I wanted. I did but I don't think my emotional condition was helping after all they've been doing. I tried with them in March, results were not great and I was already so disappointed with the whole course of treatment that switched to another clinic.
Just hang in there and remember we have a wonderful goal but the path for us is not easy. But we are strong!

@everyone, do your clinics do back to back FET cycles?

@Bells3032 thanks ! Love this thread
Ah I'm so sorry more waiting, I know it's not the same but on Thursday I only had one follicle at a decent size and they said they would see how I got on with more stims for 4 days and today I've had such a good result! So fingers crossed it will be the same for you even though different things.

It's amazing what 24 hours can do. Let your body do what it needs to do

Yes I agree the anxiety of waiting is horrid

@VenusStarr thanks for the tag x

@Tarsette my injection free day involves one last injection tonight! As my trigger is at 2am they said to use up the last bit of the stims ! So one last menopur at 7pm and another (trigger) at 2am!!

Also I thought you needed full bladder for EC

I've been told nil by mouth?

I can eat something at midnight tomorrow ( I struggle staying awake past 9:30 these days!) then some water and a slice of apple at 6am then EC at 2pm - I'm going to find that hard lol but I'm so excited which I didn't think I would be as I guess I wasn't sure I would even get to egg collection

She said she can see 4 nice size ones but hoping for 6

If anyone saw my chart before it looks so much better and like more have appeared from my left ovary

X

@TheDutchess3 I think embryo transfer tends to be used if you're older or have recurrent MC. Its quite pricey I believe. I've not had any of my embryos tested so don't know huge amount about it. My clinic is getting worse at communication. They've always managed to get thier shit together just in time, normally by me hasseling them. Its just pisses me off as I don't want to start a cycle frustrated. Did some mindfulness after to restore my calm! I've also cracked into the pom juice to start thickening up that lining Grin

@strawberrysummer19 Good luck for EC! Its a full bladder for ET rather than EC

Can't hurt:)

@Bells3032< Did you decide to have all your embryos tested yourself?

Ohhhh I see for ET thank you that makes sense

Has anyone used gonasi for trigger, just wondered how it was ? Clinic said to do in tummy x

2mumlife · 25/05/2021 07:38

@strawberrysummer19 No sorry, I've always had Ovirtrelle for trigger

First Fyremedal injection this morning - we went for thigh in the end, I don't bother with ice packs etc and didn't feel a thing with needle actually in, but it is a bit itchy and irritated afterwards, a bit like having a midge bite

@TheDutchess3 yes we tested our embryos for the first two rounds as DH's sperm is so poor we wanted to ensure we had enough decent eggs for baby 2. We weren't planning to test this round as they previous two rounds 5/6 of our day 5 blasts were normal but if this round continues i may consider it as it hasn't really been the same

Been sitting with my microwave bunny on my lower stomach since yesterday afternoon (had breaks from it obv) but put it in the microwave today and it's leg has blown off :(. I loved my bunny - it is quite old though and belonged to my grandparents.

So have ordered a new one and making do with a hot water bottle today (I don't like hot water bottles as always scared of them leaking).

Sigh 24 hours to go til fate decided

@strawberrysummer19 how was the gonasi? I can't remember what it was like last time.

I had my scan this morning have 20 on one side and 12 on the other but some are still small. Anyways I've gone from them wanting me to have 2 lots of gonasi to 1 lot and are going to procedure with egg collection Thursday!

Report
strawberrysummer19 · 25/05/2021 10:39

@Alexm06 it was fine, we had to use the syringes from the menopur pack as the syringes from the gonasi were really difficult to use ! One broke but luckily we had 2 packs but just told to use 2 powders and one water mused, So that stressed me out a bit - but it was fine in the end. Luckily we mixed them up before hand and not at 2am! Didn't sleep well but that was expected, couldn't get back to sleep
Glad it was my final injections as had 3 in total yesterday and quite sore now - had quite enough of 13 days stimming.

Very excited about EC tomorrow
Just hope we get enough x

@strawberrysummer19 yeah I remember it very a bit tricky last time so I got her to show me again!
God yeah I'm excited for the last injection! I stimmed for 14 days on my last cycle and I remember being really over it! So I don't envy you at all. Hope all goes well tomorrow!

@strawberrysummer19 hope all goes well tomorrow! I'm in tomorrow too but only to check to see if I'm ready for egg collection or not. Really hoping to see 15 follicles and I hope they're of decent size as I'm ready to stop stimming too. Only been 8 days 😆

Hi all, I set up the last thread and have been MIA for a bit, but that's because my cycle got... not exactly cancelled, but extended for quite a bit Sad glad to see some familiar faces around @Georgie87B @2mumlife @VenusStarr @notyetamumbuttrying @Tarsette and hello to people who joined after I disappeared!

Basically, the day before I was supposed to start stims, I told my clinic about my wonky thyroid test result (the GP didn't seem too bothered) and they immediately told me that without testing for thyroid antibodies, I would be throwing away my NHS cycle (it starts counting from when you start stims, apparently). So I had to take the anti-TPO test (which came back negative, thankfully) and enter a period of moooooooore waiting - I've been told to stay on buserelin until the next month's slot is available, so I'll have been downregging for 6 weeks compared to two Sad that's 65 injections instead of the original 35!!

I hope you've all been well and I'm glad to see some success already Smile with any luck, my new EC date will be 18th June, at which point I will be climbing the walls...

DoctorBambino · 25/05/2021 15:46

My goodness @TheSnufflet that's such a long down regging! As if the already huge waiting wasn't enough! Glad to see you back and hoping June 18th is here before you know it!

It's my otd tomorrow!! Anyone else?
