Currently 3dp5dt! Going crazy here. Keep thinking what will be will be. But I just wish I could see what is going on in there.
Anyone else in the tww? When is your OTD?

Yes im on progesterone tablets and gel, was doing alright until today 🙄 but today you cant look at me without snapping or tearing up... I have 4 dogs, my eldest sniffed at my crotch for tbe first 5-6 days at least once a day, but the others i havent really had a reaction from, although i think they are confused as im being very particular about petting them and them getting to close to tbrow a paw 🐾🙃

Danni02 · 21/04/2021 17:24

Im at a private clinic, i got good quality eggs but my uterine lining hasn't been good im on tablets and gel this cycle and got a good lining at least alot better than my previous attempts
@Leonardo2021yeah I am really disappointed at how the clinic and my work have handled this. Especially given that recent advice! Thanks for highlighting that, I will do some digging between patients tomorrow 🤯 at least I have a very supportive GP as a back up. But should not have to go off on sick. It's a joke but will get sorted one way or another. Really appreciate your advice 😊

@PT8998 never apologise for not replying sooner. This chat should never be stressful. Just something we can all dip in and out of when we need to. I know what juggling work is like, esp as a fellow NHS physio.

I don't know of anyone who has a 6dt, what was the reason for this? So you are now really 6days after a 5dt! So only 4 days to go? Feels like forever though right. Good luck on call tonight, I hope you don't have to go anywhere! Fair play to you for continuing to work frontline during your treatment. Big respect to you 👏 x
Yep! They do 6dt's! It was just a little bit laggy at day 5, I guess! I think they were all just early ungraded blasts, so they gave them another 24 hours to see what they did and the one transferred ended up being a 5BB.

Thank you so much! It's just exhausting at the best of times. Let alone with the meds, the everything going on at the best of times! Luckily no calls, but sleep was still pretty poor!

@lucyinthe @KN4321 - I am sorry about the BFN’s! I am so sorry that you didn’t get the desired outcomes!

@Sunseasandwhitesangria - welcome! Good luck for testing day!

@Bella1984 - I hope they get back to you soon! I hope the outcome is sorted in the least possible stressful way and keeps you and the little one very safe!

@Danni02 - welcome and good luck for your testing day too!

PT8998 · 21/04/2021 19:05

As for me, I got home this evening and tested. I could not help myself! The urge was too strong!

I am please and relieved that it was positive! I am going to keep testing, and remain tentative, as I need the line to progress to feel comfortable. For now, time will tell!

Sunseasandwhitesangria · 21/04/2021 19:15

@Danni02 So sorry the tears have come - I think progesterone is having that effect on me, although it's hard to tell if it's just that stage of the process where frustration comes out in tear form!
@Bella1984 big shout out to another N Irish chick! I'm based in London (but from NI) and would happily swop a beer garden for a walk on the beach at the moment! I'm not great at being in pubs and not drinking so quite typical that the pubs reopening coincided with my transfer day!
@BambiOnIce80 whoop whoop for the BFP! Has the news sunk in yet? I think my attitude is no test, no BFN so loving the blissful ignorance!
@VanillaSpiceCandle Hope you're getting into the routine of the pessaries now. It has been the worst bit for me - I felt like the injections were like some sort of happy pill and I seemed quite chipper pre- EC, but the mood has been rubbish since transfer. Not sure if it's psychological or what we're putting in our bodies

I don't have a pet, but now have visions of all the dogs in the neighbourhood heading for my crotch as soon as I step outside the house!!

Danni02 · 21/04/2021 19:25

Im also in northern ireland shout out to anyone here and to anyone else, this journey can have you feeling so alone at times

@PT8998 wow this is just the best news, I had a feeling you were going to get a BFP I don't know why! I am sure you are just over the moon. Tentative of course. One hurdle over and the next one is the first pregnancy scan. So will you do the official clinic test tomorrow to confirm? So happy for you xx

Leonardo2021 · 21/04/2021 20:09

@PT8998 congrats on your positive! You must be so pleased.
I've ended up with ohss back. I can't believe it. Saturday and Sunday I felt nearly back to normal, not quite but the bloating had gone.
Woke up Monday in so much pain and stomach blown up huge again! Been so ill again since then. I nearly called an ambulance this morning but luckily the pain settled with pain killers.
OTD is Friday and I wouldn't be surprised if it was positive because I have ohss back. But at the same time it could be negative as I had a negative 6dpt.
Hope you're all ok. X

Aprilia123 · 21/04/2021 20:11

@PT8998 Congratulations!!! That’s the best news!

@Sunseasandwhitesangria I’ve been coping by taking naps a lot...but then that’s mainly because the progesterone has got me fairly knackered and feeling like I am on the worlds’s longest ‘day before period’. Good luck with the testing tomorrow! A day behind you (though if it’s negative I won’t write it off until Monday as that’s what clinic said).

Good to see a few other 40+ as well!

Aprilia123 · 21/04/2021 20:22

@Leonardo2021 Sorry you’ve been unwell again - though as you say, would with a pinch of salt take that as a positive sign. Good luck for testing!

Danni02 · 21/04/2021 20:34

Im from antrim 🙃

PT8998 · 21/04/2021 20:43

@Bella1984 thank you so much! ❤️ Tentative indeed. Praying the line gets darker each day! 🥰

@Leonardo2021 thanks! So pleased and so relieved! I’m sorry that you have OHSS symptoms back again! I hope that it’s not! Fingers crossed for your OTD/testing! 🤞🏼

@Aprilia123 thank you!! I am so pleased. It’s still so early. Just hoping for a stronger line over the next few days! 🤞🏼🙂

BambiOnIce80 · 21/04/2021 20:56

@Leonardo2021 a friend of mine had exactly the same thing - she narrowly dodged OHSS after EC and then got it in the TWW with a vengeance because she had a BFP. I'll keep everything crossed for you that it's a BFP, but please don't soldier on quietly if you're in pain. My friend did that and she ended up very, very sick in hospital for nearly two weeks 😔 I hope I'm not scaring you, just don't want you to put off calling the clinic/hospital if you're not feeling better soon.x

@Sunseasandwhitesangria it hasn't really sunk in, no! 😂 Feels a bit 'too good to be true', but I'm hoping I'm wrong about that. You made me lol with the neighbourhood dogs lusting after your crotch!! 😆🤣😆🤣

I'm starting to feel a bit left out by not being in NI! 😂 I'm in Scotland, so still a bit of a Celtic vibe going on 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 😉

With some lovely BFP news this evening (congrats again @PT8998 😘) I just wanted to share that we've got a thread going on in the birth clubs board. I hope you'll all be coming over when OTD rolls round 🤞🍀🤞🍀

PT8998 · 21/04/2021 20:59

@BambiOnIce80 my OH is Scottish, doesn’t that count? 🤭

BambiOnIce80 · 21/04/2021 21:15

Is he @PT8998?! 😃 Roughly where from? I'm in Edinburgh, although I am English please don't kick me out of the Celt Club!

IVFat43 · 21/04/2021 22:59

@lucyinthe @KN4321 ...so sorry to you both, you must be heartbroken 💔 xx

Lovely to see the +40s on here @Sunseasandwhitesangria @Aprilia123 @BambiOnIce80 ...I turned 43 in February.. yay!

Congratulations @PT8998 amazing news! 😚 xx

Bella1984 · 21/04/2021 23:27

@Danni02

You're not too far away from me then 😊

Hope you're feeling a bit better than you were earlier today?

Ha so many of us Celts on here 🍀 wishing you all the 'luck of the Irish'

To our Scottish friends I have 2 sisters who studied in Glasgow and Edinburgh and my wee bro is currently 3rd year @ Edinburgh uni too, one of my fave cities ❤

And I lived in Manchester for 10 years, most of my best mates are still in England, usually visit once or twice a year, obvs not lately with covid 😓 at least you have stuff open!

xx

Bella1984 · 21/04/2021 23:36

@vanillaspicecandle

Yes private not by choice, waiting lists awful in NI, worst in UK unfortunately. Up until v recently only entitled to one cycle too, changed to 2 just before covid hit which means any couples who had one cycle went back on the list (fair enough!) But meant for us we were told 3-4 years wait (we have been on the lost 2.5 years without any contact)

So we used all our house sale savings to go privately, grateful of course tbat we had that. Sure its only money eh and will be worth every penny. We do joke about twins I.e 2 the price of one 🤭

Seems clinics just differ so much from region to region and private or NHS

Our clinic has been great on the whole, up until this point with a BFP which is disappointing. Waiting on call back from general manager tomorrow 🤞

I do have some friends who had cycles on the NHS with very mixed reports. I think maybe you don't get as much communication RE embryo stages etc as privately, but this prob depends on clinic and embryologist on the day too! We did not like the one in our first cycle at all. This time he was brill.

I am a wee bit jealous of people in England and Scotland who can get 2 or 3 funded cycles and don't have to wait for so many years. At 36 I wasn't prepared to wait until 40, just our choice and I'm glad we didn't wait! I do sometimes think what we could have spent 20k on!!! But it is what it is and if we get a healthy baby this cycle it will all have been worth it xx

Danni02 · 22/04/2021 06:56

I went privately, im a single woman with no man in sight lol, i was lucky though that i had been left some money by my grandfather which i used to go private but i have now used, so some of this cycle and anything more will be my savings. I have also chosen to get reflexology and acupuncture throughout my treatments

Danni02 · 22/04/2021 06:58

@Bella1984 yes started to feel a bit better but it lasted the most of the day 😔 is it normal? I didnt react like that at all on my first transfer

Bella1984 · 22/04/2021 07:10

Good morning Danni02

Wow I admire you so so much for going through this by yourself. Honestly, huge respect 👏 especially difficult with covid restrictions. Have you got a good family / friends support system?

I have everything crossed for you.

What a lovely thing to spend that money on, I'm sure your grandfather would be very proud of you 🥰

Are you at Belfast fertility clinic?

I personally didn't feel great either cycle in the tww. I think it the progesterone must have a big impact as now I have my BFP and am no longer on it I feel much better.

Remind me how many days after transfer you are?

I actually wanted to go for reflexology and acupuncture, but due to covid I didn't. I am actually qualified in acupuncture as a physio so I did do a few sessions on myself!

If you ever want to meet for a walk or an outdoor coffee let me know, I am not too far away 😊

xx

Xx

Danni02 · 22/04/2021 09:04

@Bella1984 yes, i have support, im an only child but have the support of my parents uncles, aunts and cousins aswell as well as a few close friends, i decided that i would try this and if a man came along great he can accept my choice ir b*** off 😂 im 34 and havent dated since i was 20... Yes imwith belfast fertility and for me the acupuncture and reflexology were a way to feel in control and know that i was trying everything i could to have success. I had my transfer on 14th April, feeling in much better mood today but feeling a little sick. Thank you for the offer of meeting up it would be great to meet others in a similar position and definitely ill keep in mind

Bella1984 · 22/04/2021 09:14

Hi @danni02, awe that's great you have a good support system, it's so important.

What have you thought of Belfast fertility out of interest? I am with them too!

I honestly admire you so much, as you say if you meet a man in the future then it's a bonus, if not then you will hopefully have your lovely wee family either way 🥰

My parents divorced when I was young and my mum had 3 of us under 5 years old, she was and still is amazing!

I did look into acupuncture but as I can do it myself I researched fertility points and did them on myself, ivf is expensive enough so it save me some pennies. I also did some stress points in my hand to help me relax. And I didn't do it during my first failed cycle but did this time, maybe it helped 😊

My transfer was 6th April so you're not too far behind me! Are you going to test on day 10 then? I did test on the evening of day 9dt of a 5d embryo. I know some clinics test on day 9.

Yes no pressure at all, just if you ever fancied a walk or catch up it would be nice for me too to speak with someone who understands! See how this next week goes for you 🙏

I have no close friends who have had ivf / even struggled to conceive. They have all popped out multiple babies for fun 🙈 I am 36 now, 37 in July we have been trying since I was 34 when we got married.

Glad you're feeling a bit better. I am looking forward to chilling out this weekend, just have to get through today at work . . .

The sun is shining here in Bangor 😎 xx
