Currently 3dp5dt! Going crazy here. Keep thinking what will be will be. But I just wish I could see what is going on in there.
Anyone else in the tww? When is your OTD?

@PT8998 I was very tired throughout IVF both times, including the tww. Wasnt unusual for me to have a power nap over my lunch break when working from home! Think it's the hormones + stress + procedures + sedation for EC etc. Plus I usually sleep through the night but getting up to pee several times means broken sleep too 😴 I was thinking of you today, is your OTD soon? xx

Bella1984 · 20/04/2021 03:29

@ivfat43 I really want to watch that actually, I love Amy Schumer. My sister told me about it but I admit I find stuff like that hard to watch when TTC for so long. Would you recommend it? Minus her terrible morning sickness! x

BambiOnIce80 · 20/04/2021 07:36

Thanks @Bella1984 🥰 It was (unsurprisingly!) the worst experience of my life 😔 We cruised through the 7 week viability scan on that cycle with everything being spot on, but then it was a completely different story at the next routine scan - it'd stopped growing a couple of weeks before and there was no heartbeat 😞 They call it a missed miscarriage when that happens (only happens to about 2% of people after a normal viability scan at 7 weeks, but that pretty much sums up my luck!). My scan is at 10.15am, so keeping my fingers crossed for both of us that things will go OK 🤞🤞🤞

Bella1984 · 20/04/2021 08:21

Good morning @Bambi . . .

Goodness me that sounds absolutely horrendous you poor thing. I am happy to hear for both our sakes that it is a very rare complication 🙏 When is the second scan then, 12 weeks? Or does it depend on the clinic? All new to this 😊

Hope everyone has a good day xx

lucyinthe · 20/04/2021 10:58

Morning all, hope everyone's doing ok x

@IVFat43 my OTD is Friday. I've still got lots of brown spotting/discharge, cramps on and off and a banging headache. Not feeling great at all.

Bella1984 · 20/04/2021 12:50

@IVFat43 I have everything crossed for you. Sorry to hear you are not feeling too well, miserable time the tww. I did not have spotting either cycle, the first was BFN and this one BFP so it shows you everyone is different, it does not mean it hasn't worked from what everyone is saying and I've read. Hang tight, 3 more sleeps. Big hugs x

elsaesmeralda · 20/04/2021 12:55

Currently 5dp5dt and also experiencing spotting, today my clinic have upped my dosage of progesterone to "support it" but bloody hell im worried sick ! Everytime I go to the toilet it's like knicker watch

BambiOnIce80 · 20/04/2021 13:05

Sorry you're feeling rubbish @lucyinthe 💐 All of those things could be good signs for Friday 🤞🤞🤞 How many dpt will you be?

@Bella1984 the booking antenatal scan is usually at or around 12 weeks (might be sooner, might be later depending on how full the diary is). I deal with some parts of the blood test side of this in my job, so that's the only reason I know! 😉

IVFat43 · 20/04/2021 13:10

@Bella1984 think that message was for @lucyinthe ...😂

IVFat43 · 20/04/2021 13:13

@lucyinthe I’ve read those are signs.. I have an app and there’s around 12 signs for pregnancy.. I only have 2! Don’t worry, it sounds like your body is adjusting.. x

VanillaSpiceCandle · 20/04/2021 13:39

Hello everyone. Joining a bit prematurely as I had a transfer yesterday. First round of IVF ever and used ICSI. Was told it was a high grade 5 day blastocyst but not given any more info. I’m waiting for a call today about the other embryos which were growing too slowly to be graded yesterday. Hopefully I’ll have some for the freezer.

I’m so angry with myself too. I forgot my progesterone pessary last night - on the day of transfer. Same as others, I’m so tired and it’s making me so confused and forgetful. Hopefully it won’t affect anything.

Wishing you all luck!

Bella1984 · 20/04/2021 13:45

Sorry ladies busy at work today and therefore rushed my replies earlier between patients!

Oops. Please ignore my stupidity 🤣

willithappen · 20/04/2021 14:16

Ahh I can join here finally! Officially 3hours post 5 day transfer haha. FET
Too early to symptom spot? 😅
5th may is my otd

IVFat43 · 20/04/2021 15:11

@willithappen ah you’re also 15 days.. interesting, thought it was just me.. good luck 🤞

..been trying to post the symptoms @lucyinthe but won’t upload.. I’ll try again..

I’ve just started having flutters on the left side of my stomach and still suffering dizzy spells

Sorry forgot to respond @Bella1984 I’ve watched 1 episode, it’s about her comedy gigs whilst being pregnant..she’s suffering that pregnancy condition, forgot the name, that makes you constantly sick everyday.. it’s such a shame! That would be a nightmare!!

Interesting list @IVFat43 I've got 6 or 7 of those but had quite a few of them on previous cycles 🤷🏻‍♀️

I called our clinic this afternoon they said because it's brown it's nothing to worry about and likely the pessaries irritating my cervix. So it's put my mind at rest x

IVFat43 · 20/04/2021 15:31

@lucyinthe glad they’ve reassured you x

CurbsideProphet · 20/04/2021 15:33

Is anyone else suffering the side effects of cyclogest pessaries? I've got terrible bloating, cramping off and on, unhappy bowels 😬 I'm also crying randomly - today because of a sad story in an episode of The Repair Shop 😬

willithappen · 20/04/2021 15:50

@IVFat43 yeah I'm at Aberdeen and their standard is 15 days. I'm not quite sure I'd last that long and may cave and text at around 9/10 days after. When's your test day?

Bella1984 · 20/04/2021 16:09

Hi everyone

Yes a few BFPs on here now which is lovely

Hoping for many more 🤞

General manager of the clinic rang us back finally RE shielding in 1st rimester. Said the clinic are only responsible for my care up until ET, after that it is my GP / occ health at works responsibility 😠 Cannot believe this. Especially as we have our first pregnancy scan with them in 2 weeks.

Am quite angry after having spent more than 20k! Never mind as a health care professional I expected much much better patient care. I feel like they were happy for me to shield so my cycle wasn't cancelled if I got covid, but now I'm pregnant they couldn't care less! They've been great up to this point so am really disappointed.

I now have to go through my GP and hope he can help. Plus wait for an app with occupational health at work, all stress I could do without tbh.

But I do realise it is a lovely dilemma to have. I am beyond grateful and happy for our BFP. I will go off on sick if they don't accommodate me which is sad. But there is too much at stake and too high risk of covid where I work.

That sounds like a good watch @IVFat43 will definitely check it out. Hoping I don't suffer from that, but of course it will be worth it in the end.

@lucyinthe sounds tough but glad the clinic were able to reassure you today 🤞

@VanillaSpiceCandle congrats on your first EC! Hopefully you are not too sore? Dont beat yourself up about the one missed pessary. Many women get pregnant without progesterone supplements! Hoping you get some good day 5 embryos, bonus if you have some to freeze. My d5t was a Grade B/C blastocyst (our only one from this cycle at a good enough grade) You only need the one xx

VanillaSpiceCandle · 20/04/2021 17:15

@IVFat43 that list is insane! And all could easily be other things which I think makes it even harder.

@Bella1984 I think it’s disgraceful the clinic won’t help in getting you signed off. When they didn’t want to risk the round being cancelled they did, so it’s not like they can’t. Exposing yourself to such a high risk at work isn’t worth it. I hope your GP is sympathetic.

Thanks! The transfer wasn’t too bad. Still suffering the effects of mild OHSS and now side effects from the cabergoline which has affected my liver function. Unfortunately the clinic phoned and said none of the 5 slow developers could be frozen. They’ve not given me much info even though I asked about grading. Though they have frozen 2 5 day blastocysts. They said top quality but I wasn’t given a grading like I’ve seen from others. I’m very pleased but also a bit shocked to have had such a drop in numbers though I know it’s to be expected.

@lucyinthe I’m glad you’ve had some reassurance from the clinic.

Leonardo2021 · 20/04/2021 17:36

@Bella1984 Sounds like your clinic are being more than unhelpful. Can you not be signed off by your manager as shielding? I told my manager I can't risk catching covid whilst doing ivf and he just put me as shielding for 4 weeks. He didn't ask for a letter , I hope he doesn't !!
I work in a hospital too as a nurse and we do have contact with covid patients.
He rang me the other day to say there's been a new risk assessment for pregnant women that they shouldn't be working in an area with patient contact under 28 weeks pregnant. So he said if I was to become pregnant they would need to move me. My colleague who is 20 weeks pregnant has had to do like admin type work and not work with patients.
There must be some evidence to why pregnant women cannot have patient contact. Maybe do some research and take something to your manager. It's your managers responsibility to protect you.
If not, just go off sick. I would xx

PT8998 · 20/04/2021 17:50

@Bella1984 - sorry for the late reply. Been flat out all day, there’s always too much to reply to and my lunch break is never long enough!
I was so exhausted yesterday, like beyond even able to function by the time I got home. Doing much better this evening, but I am going to get an early night as I am on call this evening! OTD is miles away! 5dp6dt today!

Sorry your clinic isn’t being so helpful! I hope OH come back to you soon!

PT8998 · 20/04/2021 17:52

@IVFat43 this is my list of things I’ve noticed... not to say they’re all symptoms, but I have logged everything that seems odd! Since going back to work, I’m definitely noticing less.

Bella1984 · 20/04/2021 19:04

Hi ladies

Thanks for your support and advice! This group has really helped me so thank you. Imagine if we could all meet up some day post covis with our little ones! 🥰

@VanillaSpiceCandle are you private or NHS? My clinic were brilliant at giving lots of info, but better this cycle than last. We had a beautiful Spanish embryologist who I asked to do whatever he could to help our eggs make day 5, he told me he sang lullabies to them in Spanish ❤ are you having a frozen transfer coz of OHSS? I was told this was likely on my EC day but the fluid subsided and I had a FET 5 days later, a miracle really! x
