Currently 3dp5dt! Going crazy here. Keep thinking what will be will be. But I just wish I could see what is going on in there.
Anyone else in the tww? When is your OTD?

@lucyinthe enjoy lunch, I’m doing the exact same thing.. although I’m not really thinking about it to be fair.. I’m not holding much hope!

I’m 43, paying private so they’re more accommodating to double transfers.. we’ve had quite a journey with this, our only cycle..

We got 21 eggs, 15 fertilised, 12 grade 1 (perfect) but only 5 got to blastocyst... all 5 PGT-A tested, 3 were abnormal binned! 2 inconclusive...transferred.. gutted but relieved the 2 thawed and were transferred for a least a shot!

How about you?

swirls3468 · 17/04/2021 09:58

Hello guys !
I'm an idiot and tested this morning with my second wee of the day! I saw it was negative so went to throw it in the bin. I went just to have a look at it and a really really really faint line come up. I'll attach a photo. I know I'm stupid cus it's so early.
Tell me if I'm imagining things! It is harder to see though on a photo.

Anyone in the TWW after ivf ?

@swirls3468 I can see the line and I never usually can on this sort of post! Have everything crossed for you.

Gensola · 17/04/2021 10:20

My current potential symptoms are: night sweats last night and today a lot of very watery discharge which is not normal for me plus feeling nauseated. All of which could be coincidence or indeed the progesterone and oestrogen pills Grin

lucyinthe · 17/04/2021 10:25

@IVFat43 oh my god what a rollercoaster! My boyf really wanted us to have 2 transferred this time but clinic refused even tho we're paying private, different rules at different clinics I suppose.

We've been quite lucky to have had pretty 'average' numbers of eggs collected and embryos making it to blasts. 1st cycle was on NHS, 11 eggs resulted in 3 day 5 grade A blasts, but had 3 unsuccessful transfers. This cycle we've moved clinic and now private. 13 eggs resulted in 5 day 5 blasts, had 1 transferred on Monday and 4 in the freezer.

Ours is a pretty long story...
I had blocked tubes due to a chlamydia infection years ago from a previous relationship. Didn't know the damage it caused until me and current partner started TTC, had 1 tube removed in 2019 and was told IVF would be straight forward as we had no other issues 1st transfer was unsuccessful, 2nd transfer cancelled halfway through due to Covid. Last summer we fell pregnant naturally, didn't think it was possible due to remaining tube being blocked, but that ended up ectopic so lost the other tube. Had 2 FETs since then and still no joy, had an endometrial scratch in Feb this year to try and kick start my lining just incase there was an issue with that, DRs can't see anything else that's wrong as my eggs have been great, his sperm is top quality and our embryos have all been AA or AB 🤷🏻‍♀️ last 4 years have been a complete head fuck from start to finish quite frankly!

PT8998 · 17/04/2021 10:33

Hey ladies! I am also in my first TWW! I am 3dp6dt today! Already going insane with “symptoms”! Trying to keep my mind busy and preoccupied to keep the days ticking by!

Hope you’re all well and have a lovely weekend planned!

IVFat43 · 17/04/2021 10:38

Sorry to read, definitely sounds like you’ve had a tough time..so sorry, hopefully this time is your time, take comfort you have 4 in the bank. Have you considered having them PGT-A tested, it may reduce the heartache and cost having them transferred via FER.. it’s £2k each time, our embryology team were surprised 3 of ours came back abnormal as they were top quality and looked perfect to the eye (apparently) ... like you I’ve suffered an ectopic too back in 2016 and lost a tube so if you are successful this round I’m guessing they’ll scan you at 6 wks, that’s what they’ve told me being high risk.. it definitely is a head f@ck!

IVFat43 · 17/04/2021 10:39

@lucyinthe sorry forgot to tag x

IVFat43 · 17/04/2021 10:41

@PT8998 let me know if you suffer dizziness.. it’s terrible today.. my tfr was Tuesday - 4 days ago FER

Bella1984 · 17/04/2021 10:43

Thank you @swirls3468 😊 nervous but so grateful.

I personally waited until the evening of day 9 after 5 day transfer both times and then did the official clinic one as advised on the morning of day 10. My clinic said you're at risk of a false positive if you test too early because your body can still have hormones from the trigger injection so hcg could be from this? It's agonising but I think it is maybe worse to test early and either get a false positive or a negative when you could be pregnant! Just my thoughts and what my clinic advised. I know it's so hard though! 💔 sending 🙏 xx

lucyinthe · 17/04/2021 10:46

@IVFat43 yes we're thinking about the testing if we're unsuccessful again. And yep I'm feeling positive we have a few in the freezer so can go back to back with transfers over the next few months. We're in the access funding programme so luckily all transfers are included in the price.

Hope everyone can try and get out and do something nice to take your mind off things a little today. This part of the TWW is so hard, so close yet so far!

PT8998 · 17/04/2021 10:46

@IVFat43 I did! I had a dizzy spell yesterday (2dpt). Little bit last night before going to bed. Nothing as of yet today! My friend said that was one of her first symptoms, so of course I got excited whilst feeling rubbish 😂

Bella1984 · 17/04/2021 10:52

Thank you @IVFat43. Will be an anxious 3 weeks until we can hopefully hear the heartbeat 🙏 but the same for anyone in their first trimester, regardless of IVF. We will just know how much more we have had to go through to get to this point! The money, time, disappointments, hormones, injections, scans, egg collections, transfers the tww etc! It really is brutal. I wish you every success, sounds like you really deserve it. Prayers your way ❤ xx

Yeah you are right ! It's too early to tell. I will wait a few days now before doing another test x

@PT8998 Ooo that’s interesting, maybe a glimmer of hope then..🤔 you’re having symptoms early considering day 2, you may be having twins! 😂

@lucyinthe that’s definitely a perk getting FER transfer in with the package, this was a hidden cost for us along with so many other little things that should have been explained ... we complained to clinic and got the fee waived ..phew 😅

Thanks @Bella1984 ...yes it’s certainly a timely and testing process.. but so many success stories - I love reading them 😊

Sara237 · 17/04/2021 12:32

Hi ladies, I'm 9 days after a 6 day blastocyst transfer. I had a 12mm lining and the triple line. It was my only frostie from a cycle 3.5 years ago. I'm supposed to test Sunday but did one this morning. Very faint blue line couldn't believe it. Then went and did a couple of clear blue digital tests and they're both negative...as lots of you have said it's best to wait but agonising and now I've read about evaporation lines I'm wondering if that's all it was. Respect to all of you who have the sense to wait!

PT8998 · 17/04/2021 12:37

@IVFat43 could you imagine? Hilarious! I’m not pinning any hopes on them being actual symptoms though.
Time will tell! I’m second guessing everything naturally! 🤭
How are you doing today?

lucyinthe · 17/04/2021 13:00

@Bella1984 sorry only just seen your earlier message, sorry you're still in lockdown hopefully it's not long till things start to open up for you guys! I can imagine you're still super anxious even after your bfp, a close friend of mine is pregnant now through ivf, she was a complete bag of nerves until recently, she's due next month. I think we've all been through so much stress and disappointment we just think something is bound to go wrong!

@swirls3468 I can see a line! But definitely try and hold off till OTD or at least day before now, you will drive yourself round the bend testing everyday xx

IVFat43 · 17/04/2021 13:03

@PT8998 I’m just trying to stay straight at the moment, I’m having really bad spells even sitting down, you wait till you get to day 4..🙈 apart from that, no problems.. touchwood 🤣....fingers crossed for you, nice to have found a nice group all so close to ET days to share our experiences..

@Sara237 hope it’s a blip, try again tomorrow
Xx

PT8998 · 17/04/2021 19:13

@IVFat43 Not had so much dizziness today. In fact maybe even not at all. I spent the afternoon having afternoon tea, so maybe that was enough to keep my mind occupied and stopped me overthinking everything! I feel that there has been loads of other "symptoms" though, but I just trying to ignore them all!

Hopefully your dizziness settles and you feel better soon! I hope it is all pointing towards that BFP for you!

@Sara237 Fingers crossed tomorrow there is a lovely line on your next test!

Bella1984 · 17/04/2021 22:35

Afternoon tea sounds lovely @IVFat43. I did my whole tww working from home + not being able to go anywhere due to being in full lockdown here, torture! I started listening to audio books at night which helped me sleep (terrible for whole tww!) None of my friends have gone through IVF (all have multiple children which happened very easily! / don't want children) So it's lovely having some females who understand it all! I wish I had known about this sort during my 1st cycle. I know how bittersweet it can be to hear someone else has a bfp . . . I've been there! It's understandable to be happy for them but be a wee bit jealous/ feel like life is unfair at the same time 😓 Which then makes you feel guilty about being a terrible human being! Which of course none of us are, we just desperately want our own wee family 👪 I'm now counting down the days until our 7 week scan 🙏 I'm a physio in the NHS and work at a very busy covid Nightingale hospital. Seemingly there is no advice regarding shielding in the first trimester? I am anxious about going back into a hospital next week and dreading full PPE with how warm I've been lately 🥵 Especially as my clinic advised me not to get the vaccine. Has anyone had any difficulties either trying to fit IVF around work? Has anyone on here had the vaccine? Interested to hear your experiences. Stay strong ladies, we've got this. Amy x

PT8998 · 17/04/2021 22:53

@Bella1984

I'm also a Physio in the NHS! I have worked all the way through, only having the week after EC off (and transfer day - Thursday - yesterday and this weekend off). I've also had both vaccines done.

In my trust, if you're pregnant, you're taken away from the Covid patients for extra protection. An ICU doctor fell pregnant and ended up being moved to avoid Covid contact. All pregnant ladies are to WFH from week 28 too for their own safety.

Bella1984 · 17/04/2021 23:10

Oh hello fellow NHS physio! Where do you work? I was redeployed to covid wards & ICU last year it was rough. What's your speciality? I work in MSK OPs. Yes I heard about WFH after 28 wks which is great. I'm a bit worried about the risk of covid in my 1st trimester though. Did your clinic tell you to go ahead with the vaccine despite ivf? Mine were adamant on not getting the vaccine within 3 mths of starting IVF. I was offered late Dec due to my job but had to decline . . . Advice from my clinic is still not to get vaccinated, especially in the 1st trimester unless you're in a vulnerable group (I'm not) so I don't want to risk it. I'm hoping my boss will accommodate me to work from home until 12 wks, find out Monday 🤞 I'm not on covid wards atm but my hospital is so busy with high patient contact. One thing after another isn't it. Ivf is hard enough without having to navigate a global pandemic, especially as a front line NHS worker 🙈 what day post transfer are you now? Is this your first cycle? x
