Currently 3dp5dt! Going crazy here. Keep thinking what will be will be. But I just wish I could see what is going on in there.
Anyone else in the tww? When is your OTD?

@Bella1984 hey! I sent you a PM! Yeah, I was advised by my clinic that I was safe to get my vaccine as I was working with Covid patients and it put me (and all other frontline staff) in the high risk category. I worked in the covid zones all the way up until egg collection and then I was here, there and everywhere after. I heard a lot of clinics were saying the same too, but mine were fine with it. Yeah, this is my first round! I had a freeze all and then only just now getting round to my transfer. Already going crazy thinking about the rest of the TWW 🙈😬 xx

Bella1984 · 18/04/2021 00:04

@PT8998 sent you a wee pm back there, not bore everyone with our physio chat 😀 I was redeployed 3 times it was v stressful. I decided to not get the vaccine based on my consultants's advice, I am so pro vaccine but with everything have gone through was worried about it affecting my fertility (I have zero issues it's my husband who does) & now would be worried about potential effect on the baby, especially in these very early stages. So am gona wait, hopefully get it after have given birth 🙏 but means have to be super careful and basically not go anywhere, which is not fun! Definitely found my 2nd cycle easier than the first. The tww is the absolute worst part so just be kind to yourself, know you will be abit stressed but above all don't test too early! Everything crossed for you x

PT8998 · 18/04/2021 00:12

@Bella1984 got it! Thanks! Haha, yeah. That's what I thought!

Yeah - I wasn't going to get it originally as they told me to get it when I was a few days away from collection and I held off. Once I knew it was a freeze all, I decided to go for it was Covid was still in full swing and the hospital was on its knees. I was kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. It was treating the pregnant women with Covid and huge PE's that made me question it! It made me think it was worth it, as the risk was far too high. Also understanding the pathophysiology of Covid made me away more towards getting it. I'm the one with the problems here! I have PCOS and don't ovulate. Ovulation induction made me unwell and IVF was my only option.

Thank you! I am trying to be kind to myself and keep myself as distracted as possible! 🤞🏼 xx

Bella1984 · 18/04/2021 00:37

Yes I think that was wise, especially with a frozen transfer and with your working environment & high exposure to covid patients. Mine was fresh you see (didn't get any to freeze on either cycle) 😔 sounds like you've had a tough time in work, god love you. I didn't see any pregnant patients with covid during my time in ICU / covid wards. Did you see alot then? I'm abit worried as obviously immine system is lowered during pregnancy & stats suggest pregnant woman likely to be more severely unwell with covid . . . Hoping can WFH.

I don't know much about PCOS, sounds tough. Feel like I am now living your tww with you 🤞The great thing is you have 3 frozen, so if worst comes to worst you have those there (hopefully it will be positive & those wee frozen ones will be for a future sibling if that's something you want). Right, must get some sleep 💤 xx

So it looks like I’m out - tested this morning at 9dp5dt and it was BFN. My OTD isn’t until Tuesday but I am at work all day so wanted a bit of a warning. ☹️ Starting to feel like this will never work for us.

So sorry to read this. I tested again this morning too and was definitely a stark negative. No faint line today. So confused. Just so upset as feel like I went through all that for nothing. We haven't even got any embryos in the freezer. Just heart breaking. Look after yourself 💓 xx

Oh no @Gensola and @swirls3468 I'm so sorry ladies, be kind to yourselves today ❤️

Bella1984 · 18/04/2021 10:26

Really really sorry ladies, I know how hard it is after an unsuccessful first cycle where we also didn't have any to freeze. Sending hugs and love xx

I'm 6 days past transfer. Do you think I still have a chance? I feel like an idiot for testing yesterday as the faint line was probably still the trigger 13 days on!

Aprilia123 · 18/04/2021 10:33

I’m sorry ladies. If it helps, my clinic did say test 9 days after transfer, and if that’s negative, wait 2 days and test again for what it’s worth - from my googling, hcg isn’t produced until a few days after implantation, and that’s got a time span of a few days. So I would still test on test day.
Same position of this is the only one, so I get how you feel. Lots of thoughts.

Bella1984 · 18/04/2021 11:27

@swirls3468 I think 6 days is def too early from what I've read/ been advised. So your hcg levels may have not had enough time to rise to a detectable level yet. Good advice from @Aprilia123 some clinics do test on day 9, mine advise day 10. So I waited till after work on day 9, did a few home tests and then the official clinic one plus a few more home ones on the Friday morning. . . Everything crossed for you 🤞 xx

I just can't understand why I got a faint positive yesterday. Do you think this was the trigger shot? And I see so many people testing positive 6 days past transfer. I will test again in 3 days and then official test day which is 23rd. Just been so upset today as think I am out 😭 it's heart breaking seeing that one line. I don't know how I'm going to cope.

Bella1984 · 18/04/2021 12:16

Awe I do really feel for you, but I think you just have to try and be patient and wait, as hard as that is. As there are so many factors that can affect your hormone levels after ivf. The positive test could have been because of the trigger shot, it definitely stays in your system for a while. My clinic were so strict and basically said DO NOT TEST EARLY! I know how tempting it is but in both my cycles I waited until day 9. I didn't want the agony of a false positive or a negative which wasn't a negative as the hcg hadn't risen yet. I think you should just try and keep busy, fill your days with nice things! Are you in England? Get to a beer garden for a decaf coffee or alcohol free wine! Go for a walk with a friend. Watch some trashy TV, read a good book & stay hopeful. You will be able to cope if it doesn't work for you this time, we are always stronger than we give ourselves credit for x

lucyinthe · 18/04/2021 13:41

@swirls3468 I've had the same on one of my previous transfers, tested day 5/6 past transfer and had a faint line, then tested every day till OTD and the line gradually disappeared. It was a frozen non medicated transfer so no chance of it being meds. My clinic said the embryo likely implanted but then stopped developing and came away 😥

Such a horrible horrible situation, ring your clinic tomorrow and see what they say xx

Bella1984 · 18/04/2021 14:51

Yes, frozen transfers are obviously different than fresh ones @lucyinthe. Sounds like you've had a tough time, am sorry to hear that. Hoping you get some positive news soon. Ringing your clinic is a good idea for some advice. The nurses in my clinic are always very helpful. @Gensola, I honestly thought it would never happen for us, there is always hope 🙏 x

How's everyone feeling? Any more symptoms?

I'm 7dp5dt today and woke up and 3am needing a wee, then had weird cramps struggled to get back to sleep 😴

CurbsideProphet · 19/04/2021 10:19

@lucyinthe I'm 7dp5dt too. I'm having some brown discharge / spotting, sorry TMI but worse when I opened my bowels this morning. I feel this is the beginning of the end, but I'm still waiting for OTD which is Friday.

lucyinthe · 19/04/2021 10:23

Oh @CurbsideProphet it doesn't necessarily mean it's over, lots of women have spotting and then had bfp. Have you had any other symptoms?

I'm really having to fight the urge to test early. Had a dream last night it had worked, my head is battered!

CurbsideProphet · 19/04/2021 11:31

@lucyinthe oh wow what a dream to have! I wouldn't test too early, only because you would be more likely to get an accurate result the longer you wait. But then I would say that because I'm actually terrified of POAS now!
It's stressful isn't it that symptoms can be both good and bad 😬 I've got terrible trapped wind / indigestion and I'm not really very hungry, plus some cramping, but that could the progesterone / feeling anxious.
I've got a phone appointment tomorrow with my GP to get a sick note for work (I'm really not in a physical or mental state for it and I've been off more than the 7 days self certification ). I'm hoping she might offer me a blood test to check (my surgery does bloods luckily).
It feels like Schrodinger's Pregnancy at the moment 😬

Aprilia123 · 19/04/2021 11:58

I’ve had cramps on and off, and am absolutely shattered, but I know that’s all the progesterone and it’s really too early for any symptoms. 4dp5dt, today I’m feeling a bit light headed abs queasy, but could just as easily be something I ate - I’m so convinced it hasn’t worked.

lucyinthe · 19/04/2021 12:21

@CurbsideProphet @Aprilia123 horrible isn't it, all my symptoms are just the progesterone, I know that, and now I'm getting closer to OTD I feel sick with nerves but a little voice in my head is saying 'this could be morning sickness'! Mind and body playing tricks on us.

@CurbsideProphet getting signed off is a good idea, I've just had 2 weeks off, and now back but only working from home. It's giving me a little distraction which I think is good for me, my job isn't very stressful though, if it was I would definitely be off to the docs to get signed off.

I don't have any tests in the house yet so no danger of breaking and doing it early 😬

I'm feeling similar to you!! Really bloated and gassy. I've just called in sick for a week and will not be going back next week if I'm still not 100%. I feel like my ohss symptoms have come back with a vengeance. So strange. I'm convinced it hasn't worked after the negative test yesterday but will wait till OTD now x

@Bella1984 I think we've all lost the plot at this stage 😂
