Our other thread is now full so thought I would start this one to continue the chat.

@Beaglemum91 I'm waiting for my period so I can start meds for FET so that is really helpful information about the embryo transfer process. Thank you. Did you have your partner on Facetime or anything for it?

@Icsi2021 so excited for you xxx

@lawandgin eeek another few weeks! I hope it continues to get better. My EPU scan was at 6+1 and I wasn’t expecting to see a heartbeat because I know that’s really early, just wanted to find out what was going on with the bleeding. So I was really surprised and delighted to get to see the heartbeat. My ABC scan was originally booked for 7 weeks exactly but they moved it to 7+1 as it needed to be at least a week after the previous scan to see significant growth. I think at 6+3 you should be able to see the yolk sac etc and maybe a heartbeat but don’t think the worst if the heartbeat isn’t visible yet because I think it’s not guaranteed that early.

Hopeful1234567 · 28/08/2021 23:45

@kittyfantastico21 Thankyou for responding. I think because it was high and now it’s not as high that’s why it’s panicking me. Trying to see this as if it’s meant to be it’ll be but it’s still so hard.

@lawandgin Thankyou for replying anyway! My scan is booked for 7 weeks and 5 days xx

Hopeful1234567 · 29/08/2021 00:01

@kittyfantastico21 sorry missed off what I also wanted to say! Thankyou, it does help to know that you’ve experienced something like that as hopefully it’s just my body. I wish Google didn’t exist sometimes. I’ve had the slightest light brown discharge again tonight but trying to take it as a positive.

Bitterman · 29/08/2021 13:08

Hey everyone, I just wanted to update that my cycle has been unsuccessful, I am definitely having cramps and bleeding heavily now. Husband still wants us to go for the official test because he's much more hopeful than I am bless him. Hopefully they'll be able to tell whether it was chemical or not but i doubt that.

I really hope your pregnancies progress well and anyone else on the journey have good outcomes, for now its time for me to bow out and decide when to do the FET.

Thanks for all your support over the past couple of weeks, it has been nice to be with others going through it even just anonymously online.

Thanks again xx

Becky105 · 29/08/2021 14:12

Awww @Bitterman I'm so sorry to hear this. My partner was exactly the same keeping hopeful but I had huge doubts that i could be pregnant as soon as I started to bleed. I had a wedding to go to (second of three that I had this month). And I just decided to go and have a good drink and dance, luckily I could dance through the cramps (although I felt the size of a whale). Take some time for yourself and try to keep positive. My odds of success were >50% so I am hopeful that next time things will work out for me

Hopeful1234567 · 30/08/2021 17:48

@Bitterman
So so sorry to hear this. Thinking of you both.

I’m being called into the clinic tomorrow for a scan as still having on off brown discharge and the ache seems to be just on my left side. Trying not to think the worst but can’t help it. Been told if it gets worse to go to A and E. My partner not thinking a lot into it is making it worst really.

lawandgin · 30/08/2021 19:42

I'm so sorry @Bitterman - it's so difficult. Thinking of you and your partner and crossing my fingers when you are ready for your FET.

@Hopeful1234567 also crossing my fingers for you. Do let us know how you get on and we will be thinking of you.

Just to keep you all updated on my sorry state - no change really but I am getting used to it somewhat and just learning to cope while being extremely grateful and in a weird way, reassured by the ongoing ohss. I'm back at the clinic on Friday and hope to see a gestational sac if all is progressing well. I am very nervous!

kittyfantastico21 · 31/08/2021 10:08

@Bitterman so sorry to hear that, thinking of you and sending hugs.

@Hopeful1234567 spotting is so worrying, but brown is not such a worry I think, and I hope you'll get good news at your scan today. I had red spotting at 6 weeks and all was fine so fingers crossed for you too!

@lawandgin you poor thing, that sounds so tough. I hope you'll get a nice thing on Friday and get to see the sac!

I had a bit of an anxious weekend as my symptoms seemed to ease up a bit for a few days, which made me really worry that something is wrong - and it's such a long time to the 12 week scan now. But the morning sickness is definitely back today and I've read that it's normal for symptoms to come and go so hopefully it's all still okay in there. Just have to wait and hope for the best!

IzzyStar · 31/08/2021 13:12

@Bitterman I'm so sorry to hear that, I'm thinking of you and your partner. sending you lots of virtual hugs. 💕

@Hopeful1234567 It is understandable to worry about every symptoms when your unsure of what this could mean. Take it easy and hopefully the scan/ clinic will reassure you. 💕

@lawandgin sending you lots of luck and hopefully you'll be able to see the sac. 💕

@kittyfantastico21 I would take it easy. My mum and sister had twins and their morning sickness was on and off. Take it easy as much as you can. 💕

I've been taking the Progynova tablets for past week and I'm just been feeling exhausted and wanting to nap. Is this normal? And what other symptoms have you felt? I'm just unsure of the symptoms I'm having and Google is no help at all.😅

Hopeful1234567 · 31/08/2021 15:52

@lawandgin glad you are doing okay. The clinic seem like they are keeping a close eye on you which is good!

@IzzyStar I was the same the progyanova made me feel very tired!

@kittyfantastico21 I bet it does feel like a long time until the 12 week scan! I’ve heard a lot of people having on and off symptoms.

Thankyou for the support. 💓My scan went all is okay right now. Could see a yoke apparently (don’t really know what it all means). There was no evidence of bleeding and they said embryo was the size of a polo today so 6 weeks and 1 day. No heartbeat detected yet so keeping an open mind for Tuesday next week.

lawandgin · 01/09/2021 18:26

@Hopeful1234567 that's really good news, I think 6+1 is still early to see a heartbeat but I completely get the whole remaining open minded thing. I'm having a really down day today, I just feel like I'm going to get bad news at my scan on Friday. There's no reason to think that particularly, although it doesn't help that I still haven't had a 3+ on a clearblue digital Sad

Hope everyone else is doing okay x

Becky105 · 01/09/2021 20:01

Hi everyone, how you all doing?

I've been trying to get in contact with abc for 3 days but despite promises of a call back... Still waiting. So I wondered if any of you that have had frozen transfers can advise. When my fresh cycle wasn't successful, the person who called me said that i would have a withdrawal bleed imminently (like an end of August bleed), then i should wait for my September period and call them. I spoke to another ivf buddy and they advised that they had to have a frozen transfer consultation before starting, and received meds ready to take from the start of their next period. So now I'm worried that I should already be booking a consultation and haven't. Any of you have any knowledge about this?

Hopeful1234567 · 01/09/2021 20:47

@lawandgin I’d be feeling completely the same as you tbh ans it’s hard not to think the worst but it doesn’t meant to say anything is wrong. Yeah it is still early wasn’t expecting to see it but just can’t get my hopes up and be excited about it.

Francesmalin · 01/09/2021 21:34

Hey @Becky105 I haven't had a frozen transfer but both at AbC and create they told me to wait for a full normal cycle before doing a fet or new round of IVF. This will allow your body to recover and for the ovaries to heal.

I have just started conversations with create for my next round and the service they offer is already much better than ABC (comes with the higher price! Smile )

kittyfantastico21 · 02/09/2021 17:29

@Hopeful1234567 that's good that the embryo was measuring the right size - fingers crossed for a heartbeat next week! 6+1 is really early still so not seeing one yet doesn't mean there's anything wrong.

@lawandgin I hope you're feeling a bit better about things today and I have everything crossed that you'll get good news at your scan tomorrow! Remember that it's much more likely that things are okay than not.

@Becky105 how annoying, I hope you hear back soon! I had a FET consultation I think around 2 weeks before my period was due. They can order the meds to be sent to you again via Ferility2U or they can send you a private prescription to get them yourself from a pharmacy. Asda do IVF drugs at cost price if you tell them it's for IVF, so it's cheaper, but a bit more of a faff and takes a little longer as they usually have to order them in (although generally my orders have come in for next day collection).

@Francesmalin glad you're getting good service from Create! Wishing you so much luck for your next round.

I'm still worried by my coming-and-going symptoms. Half the time I just don't feel pregnant. But I had my first midwife appointment today, which was quite exciting and made it all feel quite real. Just got to get through 4 more weeks until the 12 week scan and I hope then I can relax a bit. At the moment I keep feeling like I'll get to 12 weeks and find out it's a missed miscarriage that happened around now. Absolutely none of this process is easy! But I suppose all the worrying is good preparation for parenthood...

lawandgin · 02/09/2021 17:36

@kittyfantastico21 I do feel a little bit better thanks. I made sure I flushed my FMU very quickly this morning so I wasn't tempted to do another stupid test! The OHSS is still in full swing but I'm kind of used to it now and my newest symptom is extreme tiredness - I slept all night and I've had 2 long naps today! Maybe it's misplaced, but I have found that reassuring. Anyway, not long to go and I will know. I'm sorry you've been struggling with symptoms coming and going and the anxiety it causes. I was only thinking earlier that if everything is OK tomorrow and then next week at the official viability scan, I can easily see myself having private reassurance scans every week (which I know is ridiculous and doesn't change anything). You are right that it's good preparation for parenthood, but it just feels unbearable at times.

@Hopeful1234567 hope you are OK today x

Hopeful1234567 · 02/09/2021 17:46

@kittyfantastico21 Thankyou you are right it’s just hard to not over think. I honestly don’t have any symptoms apart from the odd constipation and bloating! Was surreal seeing the embryo the other day as I just don’t feel pregnant. 🙈 Defo isn’t the easy process and get how you feel, only way I get through is by keeping busy and taking each day as it comes.

@lawandgin I am okay Thankyou for asking. Just want to fast forward to see what happens next week 🙈. Ditto what @kittyfantastico21 said. Hope all goes well tomorrow x

lawandgin · 03/09/2021 13:10

Hi all. Just letting you know the good news that the sac was seen today. No sign of the yolk or fetal pole yet but the doctor wasn't concerned. I have another scan on Tuesday at 6+1 and my viability scan has been moved so it is a week after. Definitely feeling relieved, but as we all know, that relief is only temporary!

kittyfantastico21 · 03/09/2021 15:07

@lawandgin that's great news! So far so good! And there's no reason to think that things won't have progressed by your next scan. At least you don't have to wait too long. I hope the relief lasts!

@Hopeful1234567 lack of symptoms really doesn't mean there's anything wrong, especially as it's still so early. But I know how hard it is not to worry so I hope you get some gentle nausea soon!

I was pretty despairing this morning because I woke up with no symptoms but actually since then I've felt awful for most of the day, so I feel a bit reassured by that. I just don't seem to be able to believe that it will all be fine.

lawandgin · 03/09/2021 17:23

@kittyfamtastico21 thank you and yes, you are right, there is no reason to think things won't continue in the right direction! But like you, I also can't seem to believe everything will be okay. I think we are all feeling like that. I've had my 12 week scan date through for 18 October, I can't remember when you said yours was but it must be a couple of weeks before mine?

Hopeful1234567 · 04/09/2021 16:47

@lawandgin so pleased your scan went well and they have booked in two more. Definitely gives reassurance.
@kittyfantastico21 Very true. Everyone is different aswell. I’m exactly the same as you. I struggle to say the words I’m pregnant or acknowledge it some days because I’m so fearful. It’s really sad but guess it’s because of the situation to get here. I’m having some brown discharge again atm and although they said it was fine on Tuesday still can’t help over thinking it! 🙈

lawandgin · 07/09/2021 09:06

@Hopeful1234567 good luck today x

IzzyStar · 08/09/2021 07:27

Good morning,
I've had my transfer yesterday and left the clinic feeling really tired and I took it easy yesterday but I'm unsure on what to do after.

I was wondering if someone would be able to give me advice on what they did during the wait, did you change your eating habits and if you went to work.

lawandgin · 08/09/2021 09:52

@IzzyStar well done on your transfer and wishing you a speedy and uneventful 2ww! I carried on pretty much as normal with diet and work, but I work from home with a desk job.

Hopeful1234567 · 08/09/2021 21:48

@IzzyStar so glad it went well! The first transfer I didn’t do much for 5 days and took time off work and it failed. This time I carried on life normally and took each day as it came and it worked. Definitely keeping busy is the best thing to do like what @lawandgin has said.

I hope yours went okay yesterday @lawandgin. Mine went well. Saw and heard the heartbeat 🥲. Was so nervous going in. They have discharged me now. The staff were so excited for us, it was lovely. Said I was measuring 6 weeks 5 days. I did question it but the consultant said that measurements from scan to scan can be out but I guess seeing the heartbeat says a lot from yesterday.
