Our other thread is now full so thought I would start this one to continue the chat.

@Beaglemum91 I'm waiting for my period so I can start meds for FET so that is really helpful information about the embryo transfer process. Thank you. Did you have your partner on Facetime or anything for it?

@Icsi2021 so excited for you xxx

@Bitterman definitely echoing what @lawandgin have said as no symptoms doesn’t mean you will are not. I can now say that first hand as I was thinking it was over. Always happens unexpectedly. I was very prepared for a BPN xx

ThinnerByDinner · 22/08/2021 18:33

Congratulations @lawandgin amazing news! Xx

ThinnerByDinner · 22/08/2021 20:45

And congratulations @Hopeful1234567 lots of BFPs I missed! X

Hopeful1234567 · 23/08/2021 13:34

@ThinnerByDinner Thankyou! X

Becky105 · 23/08/2021 13:40

Wow @kittyfantastico21 TWINS!!! that's amazing news. Congratulations to you and your partner. That must have been such a surprise.

Congratulations to @lawandgin all this good news has really cheered me up. Your OHSS sounds crap though, I hope you feel better soon.

@Bitterman don't rule yourself out, i thought I had loads of symptoms, cramps, migraine, fatigue, sore boobs and it was just my mind and body tricking me lol. Everyone is different, so don't give up hope 😘

IzzyStar · 23/08/2021 16:11

@lawandgin @kittyfantastico21 @Hopeful1234567 Congratulations, Congratulations, Congratulations!! 😊

I have to start taking Progynova tomorrow and I was wondering did anyone have specific times of when they started taking this. I'm all nervous, anxious and just over thinking this. I just wished I was able to have had a fresh transfer, but it wasn't meant to be and I just feel like I'm emotionally start from the beginning. (If that makes sense)

lawandgin · 23/08/2021 16:15

Hi all, just an update. I got more poorly and by this morning was being sick. I had bloods done at the clinic and they put me on a drip and gave me anti sickness. When the bloods came back they said it looked like I had an infection so they couldn't let me go home and they would have to call the paramedics to take me to St George's. I am here now waiting to be seen... on the plus side, beta was 191! Xx

Hopeful1234567 · 23/08/2021 16:16

@IzzyStar Thankyou! I felt like that, completely over thought all of it really I don’t help myself 🙈. Probably didn’t help first time round that I felt as though I started at the beginning again and had to go through the motions of it but after going through two FET I would definitely say that I found it better and I was physically and mentally was ready for it. I take mine 8 hours apart 😊 so 7,3 and 11.

Hopeful1234567 · 23/08/2021 16:17

@lawandgin so sorry to hear this, sounds awful! I hope you start to feel better soon. I’m really pleased for you about your beta result!!! 💓

kittyfantastico21 · 23/08/2021 16:37

@lawandgin that sounds horrible, I really hope the hospital can sort you out and you'll be feeling much better soon. That's a great beta number, so pleased for you!

@IzzyStar I also take my progynova 8 hours apart. Staying awake for the 11pm one is getting very difficult now as I'm so tired! I also felt sad not to have a fresh transfer but now I'm so glad I had a FET as I really think my body was in a much better state for it than it would have been for a fresh one. The weeks will fly by and it'll soon be time for your transfer!

IzzyStar · 23/08/2021 16:41

@lawandgin I'm sorry your not feeling great. Aww I'm really excited for you especially with your beta results. 💕

@Hopeful1234567 thank you. I really appreciate it. I've just been all over the place emotionally especially with my period being very late and then thinking the worst and Google not helping. I feel really naive to the whole process and reading everyone's post I feel like those silent questions I have in the back of head gets answered in this thread 😅. x

Hopeful1234567 · 23/08/2021 16:47

@IzzyStar honestly the first FET I was google’s worst googler and everything led into me reading something else. The second FET I was so different and learnt a lot to just go with the flow of it. I think a lot of it is putting yourself in a position to be hurt and I’m one of those people I’d rather think the worst or know everything that could go wrong so I feel prepared although it still didn’t make much difference the first time around and I still was devastated. Yes definitely agree a lot of my questions I had to myself were answered on this thread. This has been my comfort during difficult times and my support. Definitely the best thing out of this situation to know you’re not alone. X

Hanopolis · 23/08/2021 20:31

Hi everyone! Congratulations to all those who have had their BFPs recently, it's been so nice to read the good news when starting my cycle with ABC. Sorry to hear about those who haven't but hopefully the other stories have given hope to you as well.

I started my stims last Friday and had my first scan today, started cetrotide this morning. I'm on 125 bemfola (it usually does it in two clicks) and when I injected today the first click was fine but when I pushed down for the second one liquid squirted out. I can't really tell how much it was but I'm panicking that I may have lost a fair amount! Although it always looks like a lot squits out when preparing the pen but I guess it can't be, it was similar to that. Did any of you guys have this happen and query it with the clinic? I figure it's best to just leave it and have tomorrow's dose as usual but obviously I'm stressing about it 🤦🏻‍♀️. Also pulled the plunger out when trying to prepare the cetrotide this morning (it's so fiddly!) so a bad injection day all round for me!

kittyfantastico21 · 26/08/2021 10:14

@Hanopolis sorry you had a stressful experience. I'm sure it was fine though. I don't think anything bad would happen from missing a partial dose of Bemfola, they'd probably just give you an extra day if your follicles needed it. Did you ask the clinic about it? Cetrotide is such a pain to prepare! I hope you're feeling better about it all now.

@lawandgin how are you doing? Were the hospital able to do much to help your OHSS? I really hope you're on the mend.

lawandgin · 26/08/2021 10:34

Hi everyone and thanks for asking after me @kittyfantastico21. I am still feeling absolutely horrible, but at least I am not in hospital. They couldn't do much at all, just wanted to make sure I didn't have an infection and otherwise just measure my waist and urine output. My waist is 10 inches larger than normal, it's so painful. Still, at least I am no longer vomiting and I can pass urine again. This is pretty miserable though I have to say and I personally would never have a fresh transfer ever again! The clinic have been very good, they've put me on clexane and they are calling me a lot to check on me. I've even had Prof Nargund on the phone several times (despite her being on holiday this week). I'm back tomorrow for more blood tests so I guess I'll know a bit more then. Thank you all for thinking of me!

Francesmalin · 26/08/2021 10:56

Hello! How's everyone?

Congrats to all the girls that are now pregnant! It makes me happy and very hopeful to read you all. I am moving to Create now and, although it's more expensive, the level of attention for the patient is higher. With what happened to me in the previous round, having a consultant looking after my treatment makes me feel more at ease. I need to check my prolactin levels next week and if it's all back to normal I will start treatment in a couple of weeks. This time I will start with a very low dosage of bemfola (like 112.5) and see how it goes. I might do a freeze all anyways but let's wait at see. Hopefully this time my eggs won't misbehave!

unCliche · 26/08/2021 10:59

Hey ladies!

I'm so happy to have come back to some really amazing news!

@kittyfantastico21 Twins!! Omg! I am so happy for you! Congratulations!!

@Hopeful1234567 I'm so pleased to hear about your BFP! Glad it finally happened for you 💕

@lawandgin Congratulations lovely! Sorry to hear you're not feeling too well but happy things are progressing well with the pregnancy!

Wishing you all a happy and healthy 9 months and good luck to everyone else on this journey!

I am still not pregnant -shocker- but we won't be doing IVF with abc as we've started the process with the NHS. I'm due a HyCoSy scan to check my tubes and then we'll take it from there.

Take care everyone! I shall be back to see how you're all doing 🥰

Bitterman · 26/08/2021 11:53

Hey ladies, thanks for your support, it's more than ABC have given me this week! I have started spotting and called three times to be told I'll get a call back which never materialises even after I email to update my changes to CM. I am feeling quite discarded by them at the moment and the progesterone doesn't help lol

My tracking app says my period is due in two days so I thought oh it's not worked and it's just nature taking its course. I did call the local EPU who said it could be that the treatment hasn't worked and she's very sorry but it's going to continue or it could be the pessaries so to use them rectally and see if it improves. So I'm doing that for now and waiting til Monday for the blood test.
I'm too afraid to POAS at home now.
@lawandgin I'm sorry you feel awful but I'm glad you're at least being cared for now , hopefully you don't have an infection and the pain and bloating will subside eventually x

lawandgin · 26/08/2021 13:15

@Bitterman oh I'm really sorry to hear that, it's not great they haven't called you back. I feel like I've had so much of their time and attention this week so it's surprising, but I guess ohss is not great for them from a publicity point of view. They keep saying how this wasn't foreseeable etc (which I actually completely agree with, it's not as if I'm threatening to sue them or anything!) So maybe that's why they are being so attentive? Either way, I hope they get back to you sooner rather than later and fingers crossed for your blood test xx

Hopeful1234567 · 26/08/2021 13:22

@Francesmalin Hello! Thankyou! I hope all works out this time for you with Create 💓.

@Bitterman I do relate to the lack of communication from ABC as that’s been the down fall for me throughout this process and hasn’t made the journey any easier. Really hoping it works out for you!

@unCliche Hello! Aww Thankyou so much. Still can not believe it. Lovely to hear from you again. So sorry to hear this wishing you so much luck with your next cycle! Great to hear you can go through the NHS!

@lawandgin hope you are feeling better 💓💓

unCliche · 26/08/2021 15:34

@hopeful1234567 haha don't be sorry! I haven't had IVF yet. Just relying on a miraculous conception at this point 😂 all the best 💕

kittyfantastico21 · 26/08/2021 17:02

@lawandgin that sounds awful, I'm so sorry you're going through that. Has anyone been able to give you an indication of how long it might last? It sounds like your symptoms are moving in the right direction - I hope you'll get some more relief soon.

@Francesmalin good luck for your cycle with Create - fingers crossed for you that you'll get better results this time.

@unCliche thank you! I'm glad you've got the process going on the NHS, good luck with it and hopefully you'll be pregnant soon!

@Bitterman sorry to hear you've had some spotting, I know how stressful that is as I've had it twice now (after my positive test) and the EPU couldn't see any problems, it's just unexplained. So it might not mean that your treatment hasn't worked. Wishing you so much luck for your blood test. Sorry to hear the clinic haven't been very supportive, too. I hope you can plan some fun things for the weekend to try to take your mind off the test a bit.

Hopeful1234567 · 28/08/2021 16:40

@unCliche sorry completely forgot about that! You never know though!! Really hoping it works out for you 💓💓💓.

I’m having a slight meltdown which is being made worse by my partner so I’m hoping someone on here can make me feel better 🙈. My cervix has changed the last couple of days and has become lower and firmer. It was high and soft since having me BFP I had the tiniest bit of light brown bleeding yesterday but it wasn’t enough to cause concern. Everywhere I read online (which I really hate doing) says the cervix should be high and soft during early pregnancy and if not could be a sign of a MC. Has anyone has had this with the applicators that they have noticed a change in their cervix in early pregnancy? My symptoms are still very minimal atm too.

kittyfantastico21 · 28/08/2021 18:41

@Hopeful1234567 I don’t know much about cervixes or what they should feel like when but I definitely had a period of time in the weeks after my positive test where it felt like it had moved lower (at least, I couldn’t get the pessary in as far as I had previously) but it seems to have gone a bit higher again now. I googled a lot too and I did find some places saying that it varies from person to person when it moves higher and with some it’s not until later in the first trimester. Mine seems to be okay, I’m 7 weeks now and saw my twins’ heartbeats again yesterday and they had grown the right amount since my EPU scan so I think things must be okay. I would try not to worry too much about it, I think it probably varies a lot as to when it moves higher.

lawandgin · 28/08/2021 19:28

@kittyfantastico21 they've been pretty non committal and just keeping saying it's because I am pregnant, but my reading suggests another few weeks yet. It's awful but at least I am in better shape than I was earlier in the week! Glad to hear you've been able to hear your twins' heartbeats again - so amazing! Can I ask how far along you were when you had your first scan? Mine is booked for 6+3 or 6+4, but I'm worried it's too early!

@Hopeful1234567 I'm sorry but I don't know anything about cervical positioning either! When is your scan booked for? Xx
