Hi,

Is anyone else having or had a transfer this week? I need people to talk to during the TWW! x

Hi. Yes hopefully me.
The clinic called me today (ec yesterday) to say 2 of my 3 eggs fertilised. They will either transfer Saturday or Monday if both are still looking good. We shall see.. they'll call again tomorrow with a further update. Fingers crossed for us both.

It's our first round and we're waiting for my Day 3 update tomorrow after EC on Tues - the plan is to transfer on Sunday ideally, or tomorrow.

@IloveHaroldBishop I had my FET 3 days ago. It’s my first ever transfer!! This is going to be the longest 7 days ever 😬 have you experienced many symptoms? I’m trying to avoid doctor google but no sign of any spotting yet 😐

Had transfer about 4 hours ago so yeah at very beginning of TWW.

We had 3 transfers last. Two unsuccessful and one worked however ended in miscarriage at 12 weeks xxx

Ah bless you @Ivfgottahope I know what you mean about the symptom spotting. I found keeping really busy was good. I’m taking tomorrow off work to rest a bit but going back next week otherwise I think I’ll get obsessive!!!!

I had my transfer on Saturday.. going crazy looking for symptoms and spotting.. feeling like it didn't take :(

Is anybody on Cyclogest 400mg? Day 2 of it and I’m not loving it, clinic want me to take it by way of the back door until after transfer. May continue with that as I’ve heard it’s a lot less messy that way. However am suffering from a huge amount of bloating and trapped wind, constipation and when I can finally go, upset stomach. My clinic want me to take this until 12 weeks if I end up pregnant

Out of interest, has anyone had any spotting yet? Driving myself mad with this...

@Goldilocks2528 no, absolutely nothing and I check multiple times per day to hopefully see some!!

I thought this part but be the the easiest but it’s by far the worst.... give me the egg collection pain any day!

Did you all have one or two embys transferred? What was your gradings? I’ve found the whole process so eye opening - I was hugely naive to the whole process before, I just thought it was a case of getting some eggs, making embryos and popping them back in. Little did I know!!

@Goldilocks2528 wow... tell me about it. This is my first fet transfer.. well second one technically. My first one got cancelled 5 days before due to testing positive for COVID... urge. What a pain. I'm actually in the USA but I needed an active forum to partake in to distract me. I transferred a 4AA pga tested embryo. My other boys are all BB so This is my best chance. This whole process has just been a rollercoaster. They almost cancelled my second FET because first my lining wasn't thick enough then I got way too much mucus from the added estrogen to get my lining thicker. And now I am currently injecting this huge needle full of progesterone nightly... movies do not explain this process well enough! Haha Iv added a pick of my embaby. I feel like I messed the transfer up. My partner was telling me to drink more because the nurse asked if I had a full bladder. I was drinking slowly before so as to not get too full. Anyways doctor ran about 30 mins late and by the time the transfer was done I was BURSTING for the loo. He told me to lie down for 20 minutes before going to the bathroom. I was literally shaking and straining in pain waiting to go to wee. I feel like that strain must have been a bad welcoming environment. Anyways sorry for the blurb but I had to get that all out .. p.s I feel like I'm having some action in my uterus but in all truth I have had no symptoms except weight gain. anyways what's your story???

@paitentlywaiting it’s good to talk about it - I’ve not really told many except immediate family as I can’t deal with well meaning questions at the minute and like you, it’s been one heck of a ride. This is my first time through the process and I hadn’t prepared for the roller coaster of emotions! That does sound very stressful in what’s an already charged atmosphere but I’m sure it’s not impacted your chance so try not to over think if you can help it. Have you always had PGA testing done? It wasn’t suggested to me but I’ve read a lot about it now b

My fresh transfer was cancelled ON THE DAY when I was sat in the room waiting for the consultant to come in as they changed their mind last minute because I’d fainted after pain from developing OHSS so they wanted to rule out epilepsy before continuing. Another arduous 3 month wait ensued!!! They froze my 5 embies where 2 were slower developing and considered at day 3 stage, 1 was a morular and two were blasts graded 3AB and 4AA.

Anyhoo, time came around eventually and the embryologist said she’d thaw the slower ones and the morular first to see if they move along so I have the two blasts banked for a later date if I need them. The two 3 day ones were discarded and the morular went on to develop into a hatching 5AB blast and at the last minute I asked them to thaw the blasts as I wanted to transfer two. So they transferred the hatching blast and the 4AA one.

So that’s my story! If this doesn’t work I have to start the whole process again. I’ve relatively low AMH (7.5) and don’t know how many rounds that’ll permit in the future so really hoping for a positive outcome! Over analysing every twinge at the minute but no sore boobs or spotting as yet and it’s day 3 now

@Ivfgottahope holding thumbs for you! I reckon if this one doesn't stick I'll do my two 4BB's but my hubby says he can't deal with the stress this year and we should wait for next year... haha if only they knew the stress!!! From what I read spotting is more rare than it is the norm so I guess I'm not out at 5dpt.

As for the pga... my doctor recommended it cause we wanted to have a boy and it just increases your chances that little bit more and avoids implanting an embryo which may not have all the chromosomes... I only tested 8 and I have another 8 untested. I have 5 boys and 3 girls :)

OMgooooodness!!!!!!!!!!! You must be so excited! A huge congratulations. That is a very special moment after I’m sure many months/years of tests.

@IloveHaroldBishop I am 6dpt5dt... it is a very clear line on both, not even a squinter. I'm shaking in disbelief.. I was so scared to test. Also no spotting and just mild tugging in my uterus and my skin broke out and got a cold sore... retrospectively I guess that was my hormones changing

@Goldilocks2528 I'm having the same trouble with Cyclogest and hating it... woke up several times last night with really bad tummy pain. ET is scheduled for Sunday and I really hope it eases slightly by then...
