Thank you everyone ☺️ it means a lot!! I just really hope it sticks 🤞

@lucymills1234 yes It sounds like they are all different. The clinic called me back and my consultant isn't budging and says I should be fine to produce my own progesterone as I had lots of follicles and they only continue to give it to patients on frozen cycles. So "au naturel" for me tomorrow.

HopingForRainbow2021 · 01/03/2021 19:00

Can I join please? I’m a first timer - I’m 3dp5dt of a 4bc blastocyst. We had 10 eggs, 5 fertilised, but only one made it - so it’s another fresh cycle if this doesn’t work out. Already really struggling with 2ww. Hoping to share the journey xx

Pansy222 · 01/03/2021 19:17

Hi there @HopingForRainbow2021 your in good company here. Congratulations on your PUPO x
I’m currently 2dp5dt I’ve so far kept my tests well away however I know I get tempted by the end of the week ! Be strong x

MrTumbleTumble · 01/03/2021 19:23

Wow, so much to catch up on!!

@kitttycatt congratulations!

Let's hope it's the first of many BFPs on this thread Smile

Pansy222 · 01/03/2021 19:24

What do you ladies do to distract yourselves (other than work) or are you taking rest whilst 2ww ?
I learnt to knit during ttc my son and have headed back to the knitting needles Every time we’ve had ivf since.
Any other methods of coping ?

MrTumbleTumble · 01/03/2021 19:27

Pre-lockdown, lots of walks, socialising and days out. Now, I just go to bed when I've had enough of any given day 😂

Pansy222 · 01/03/2021 19:31

@MrTumbleTumble 🤪 I know the feeling. This time round I don’t seem to be too fixated. Knitting certainly helps though and tea and biscuits obvs

Blessing12 · 01/03/2021 20:03

@HopingForRainbow2021 hey congratulations PUPO, how are you feeling have you had any symptoms? I had ET today grade c thats all they told me. Think I would have tested already, im really going to find it difficult to not test for 12 days.

@Pansy222 congratulations also and how are you finding the 2ww? Do you have any symptoms like cramping etc? Iv read up thats a sign of implantation..

Think im going to plot on the sofa watching prime video till Friday and no dout 5dpt ill do a test, if I don't sooner.... i know way to early but no matter what anyone ses I just cant help myself., wish I could wait the full 2w.

RichmondLady1981 · 01/03/2021 20:17

@Pansy222 thanks so much for your generosity and sharing your story. Wow what a rollercoaster you’ve been on. I can totally relate to wanting to try for a sibling for your son. I have a 21 month old little boy who we conceived on honeymoon in 2018 with no problems. Since then had mmc and no luck so moved straight to IVF as I’m 39 with low AMH. I am longing for another one but always feel grateful and thankful for what I have.

I’m sorry you’ve been though a tough time but hopefully this makes it all worth it. I have everything crossed that you have an uneventful 9 months ahead. Thanks again for sharing. Keep us posted of course! 💕

Habe one day 5 blast on ice now awaiting genetic testing. Praying for the other two to catch up tomorrow. Let’s see.

Mrbay · 01/03/2021 20:20

Hey @hopingforarainbow - congratulations!

@Pansy222 thank you :) It is so good to have found this group, and others in similar stages. I had been feeling pretty alone this past few days, and spending way too much time on google. Congrats on your PUPO too. Got to try to be strong - though I know I am going to be desperate to test within days! My dh is really against early testing though so have to try and resist.
I can't knit... maybe this is the time to learn! So far I haven't been great at distraction, other than the odd walk. Will have to find some other coping strategies I think. Thank you so much for sharing your journey, above. I'll write mine too, in case of interest. I have a little boy, who I am also just really hoping for a sibling for. He will be 5 in May. He was conceived naturally, and we hoped to try for a second child when he was 2/3, but my husband was diagnosed with Leukaemia. This has meant permanent chemo drugs (orally, and relatively mild), that it is not safe to TTC on. He was finally allowed a treatment break last summer - a one off, to TTC and have sperm frozen. We were so lucky, and fell pregnant, but sadly miscarried in November - by which time he was firmly back on his meds. So here we are :) x

@Blessing12 thank you so much :) Congratulations PUPO to you too. I have had the odd bit of cramping, but I don't know if it's in my head. Nothing else at all apart from that. The waiting is so hard isn't it. I thought the injections would be the tough bit - I was so naive!x

@Mrbay thank you :) no fluttering pains here - just a few mild cramps.x

Pansy222 · 01/03/2021 20:50

@RichmondLady1981i have everything crossed for you 🤞🏻 Thankyou for asking, it’s not often I’ve written it out like that. What a journey we are all on. It’s full of super highs and super lows. Wishing everyone gets their dreams.

@Mrbay Hey 👋🏻 no symptoms as yet, but I don’t think I did previously either. Positive or negative results.
I felt off food early on in this first week waiting with my first pregnancy even before testing. We were in France On holiday at the time and usually I would of Liked a coffee and a macaroon or treat but I only wanted savoury food. I can’t say that wasn’t nerves though, I tend to feel sick when nervous.

lucymills1234 · 01/03/2021 22:21

Hi all, wondering if anyone else is doing an FET after a freeze all and if so how long they had to wait after collection? I know I have to actually get to the point of having blasts to freeze first.

I’ve heard that lots of eggs can often mean a much lower quality, anyone had experience of this (or of the reverse)? Feeling really deflated after my EC today ended with the news it’ll be a freeze all due to OHSS risk - hadn’t been prepared for that going on :(

Melissa1983 · 01/03/2021 22:36

@Kitttycatt congratulations on your BFP that’s fantastic news

@Blessing12 at my clinic they test 11 days after transfer too which I thought was strange at first when most are 2 weeks.

Congratulations to everyone who’s PUPO I can't wait to join you all tomorrow as I feel like I've been going crazy waiting to get to this point. Is anyone changing their diet after transfer x

willithappen · 01/03/2021 22:55

@lucymills1234 had my egg collection on wednesday and got the all important day 5 update today. I am doing a freeze all due to OHSS risk (luckily I haven't had any symptoms at all) and fluid in my lining.
My journey went - 17 eggs collected > 6 immature > 8 out of 11 fertilized > day 3 - 5 eggs progressing > day 5 - 4 made it to the freezer and one waiting until tomorrow

I was told 6 weeks likely for transfer. All depends when I get my bleed from egg collection. I will call the clinic when that happens and they will book me in for the next month. At start of my next period after that I have tablets to take and then the pessaries before transfer. Hope this helps!

Nix49816 · 02/03/2021 07:48

@Kitttycatt Congratulations you must be so happy!!!

2mumlife · 02/03/2021 08:00

@Motherofkittens28 Best of luck today with your fertilisation update Flowers

Pansy222 · 02/03/2021 08:16

@HopingForRainbow2021 Wow darling what a path you’ve been walking. Bless you, I’m so hopefully for you and your family.

Please don’t feel alone, I remember too many years of that feeling and is so painful. You’re in good company here, we’re all routing for each other.

X

hopefulhel · 02/03/2021 09:14

I just got my day five update from the lab. Out of the 11 fertilised eggs we got, they managed to get 6 embryos to freeze. She said it was a good results. One was AA quality which she said was very good.

Motherofkittens28 · 02/03/2021 09:18

Thank you @2mumlife, I've been dreaming all night that they come back with bad news today. I'm not even upset anymore just totally numb and hopeless. I know it could still be ok but it doesn't feel like that. How are you getting on?

RichmondLady1981 · 02/03/2021 09:26

Hi all! I’m super happy to say that I’ve just had a call about the other two embryos. They have both turned into hatching blasts! All three will now be biopsied, frozen and sent for genetic testing. I have :-

5BB
5BB
5BA

I have been told the likelihood of them to coming back ‘normal’ at my age (39) is 49% but hopefully one will!

Here comes another wait- it takes two weeks from the lab they use.

I hope this really helps you other lovely ladies who were upset about the low number of eggs collected. I only had 3 eggs at collection and they all made it to a reasonable blast- not excellent but still good. Feel strangely proud of them 😁

So many of you have given me hope so I hope to return the gesture. 💐

@IVFat43 any news??

RichmondLady1981 · 02/03/2021 09:31

@hopefulhel wow that’s fantastic! You must be so pleased- great quality too!

RichmondLady1981 · 02/03/2021 09:32

@Motherofkittens28 everything crossed and thinking of you. 💕

RichmondLady1981 · 02/03/2021 09:32

@HopingForRainbow2021 you’ve been through such a tough time. You’ll get lots of support here. 💕

Motherofkittens28 · 02/03/2021 09:34

Thanks @RichmondLady1981, your results are amazing, so pleased for you!
