Oh! so sorry- can I blame baby brain!?? So many people to keep up with on the thread as (pleasing to say) so many BFPs!

Mrbay · 06/04/2021 09:43

@RichmondLady1981 - I was convinced that I had a MMC as my symptoms were coming and going and my resting heartrate was dropping down but thankfully the scan showed a lovely strong and clear heartbeat.

Sorry @thetallgirl I wrongly assumed both had stuck - but glad that one stuck :)

@RichmondLady1981 I just have the one embryo left, so you're right, i do need to do everything i can to get this next transfer right. Will let you know, hope everything keeps going well for you, i'll check in here to see x

RichmondLady1981 · 06/04/2021 12:01

@IslandStars I wish you every success. I would definitely consider an ERA and receptiva test. Only reason I say is my friend went through several failed transfers and after three, they realised she needed another 12 hours of progesterone. She is now 32 weeks pregnant. Have you ruled out silent endometriosis? Even mild cases? Receptiva would diagnose that. Sorry for going off on one 😂

RosemaryRosemary · 06/04/2021 12:29

Hi all, happy to see some BFPs and progressions but sorry to hear of some losses.

I ended up waiting to 14dp5dt to test and got a BFP! I'm 6+3 today and have a scan next Thursday

I've also taken a break as I've been feeling quite overwhelmed and anxious about reaching certain milestones (8 week scan / 12 week scan ect). I have also been made redundant during the whole IVF process and feel worried about trying to find a new job

thetallgirl · 06/04/2021 13:02

@RosemaryRosemary congratulations! So many BFPs on this thread! Your first scan isn't until 8 weeks? Not too long to wait now. You did so well waiting until 14dp5dt.

Being made redundant must be a worry. Hopefully you will find a new role quickly. Wishing you all the best

Mancbear88 · 06/04/2021 13:18

@Mrbay I’m hoping I can be. I’ve asked and it needs to be put to a panel that only meet every four weeks (was weekly but Covid!)! I fit the criteria though.

I’ve got a 6AA in the freezer and one more go at IVF on NHS. If there’s gonna be a big delay in the referral and tests I might just try the next transfer anyway and see what happens. I’m 33 and 3 months so not too old but if I need that IVF cycle I’d like it to be when I was as young as possible!

IslandStars · 06/04/2021 13:53

@RichmondLady1981 lol no worries, I appreciate the advice and it’s good to hear how positive ERA can be. Hopefully I’ll have a good discussion with the clinic and get a plan in place.

wishfulbean · 06/04/2021 16:32

Hi all,

Wanted to share with you that my little C+ grade day 5 blastocyst did a wonderful job of implanting and after a positive test a few weeks ago we had a scan today at just under 7 weeks and saw little heartbeat fluttering away! After only getting one blastocyst to day 5 and a relatively low quality one at that, we are over the moon that it has worked out so far. Fingers crossed it continues.

Just wanted to provide reassurance to anyone worried about the quality grading of any embryo's transferred or frozen. I was really concerned and not very hopeful but that little flickering heartbeat on screen today proved me very happily wrong!

thetallgirl · 06/04/2021 17:40

Yay congrats @wishfulbean ! That's great news.

I was also in the low grade club but one of my two transferred stuck around and echo your comments about C grade embryos. I wish the clinic had better explained the chance of success with them as I felt like I had virtually no chance in the days after transfer.

Anjenla · 07/04/2021 12:10

I’m 8+4 today (yay), heartbeat as scan was doing it’s thing, and the clinic have discharged me. BUT, I’m super nervous about stopping the progesterone pessaries at 10 weeks- some places say the placenta doesn’t kick in until 12 weeks. Trying to reassure myself that the clinic know what they’re talking about. Anyone else finishing at 10 weeks (or earlier)? Am I just being dramatic?

thetallgirl · 07/04/2021 13:35

@Anjenla yay congrats on the successful scan. My clinic advised to stop at 9 weeks but I worked out I have enough to get me to 10 weeks. I'm thinking I'll stop when I get down to my last 4-6pessaries and then see how I feel. If I panic at least I have a few to go back to and can phone the clinic etc.

I had my booking appt today with the midwife which has made everything seem so much more real. She calmed some of my worries too. Private scan booked for the weekend, I just hope everything is ok.

Anjenla · 07/04/2021 13:42

@thetallgirl knowing that your clinic says 9 weeks makes me feel better- clinics want it to succeed as much as we do, right?

I had a booking meeting last week which was great, but then an awful midwife phoned the next day stressing about how me having a lletz a few years ago for abnormal cervical cells might mean my cervix can’t hold a pregnancy (even though we’d discussed it the day before with nice midwife)! Totally unnecessary panic- Husbo phoned her boss to complain.

JessTTC · 07/04/2021 19:56

@Anjenla congratulations!!! We had our final scan with fertility clinic today at 7+4. She said as I’d had a frozen transfer I would stay on Progesterone and oestrogen support until 12 weeks. Had it been a fresh transfer if needed weaning off at 10 weeks. Could this be why? I didn’t press her on it or ask why as I hadn’t seen this post but maybe there’s something in it? I know some clinics advise you come off as soon as you get a positive test so try not to panic! I know I’ll be like you and worry about it when then time comes but I am equally a little jealous because I am SO fed up with the cyclogest pessarys!

RosemaryRosemary · 08/04/2021 11:51

@thetallgirl my scan is at 7+5 but I just rounded it up to 8. Is that late for a first scan? It was the date my clinic gave me so I didn't question it. I was googling private scans at 5am this morning though! However only 7 days to wait

thetallgirl · 08/04/2021 13:35

@RosemaryRosemary mine was 6+4 but I think my clinic do them quite early. I think week 7 is normal.

chloedancer897 · 08/04/2021 15:31

@RichmondLady1981 that's the most amazing news. I'm so over the moon for you!xo

RichmondLady1981 · 08/04/2021 15:38

Thank you @chloedancer897. Would you believe it’s exactly a year ago since I conceived for my rainbow baby. Exactly the same cycle (March-April). Praying that everything goes smoothly. Am so happy but petrified at the same time. My first HCG showed a good level. Got an early scan booked for 26th April. Seems ages away!! Got to keep busy. Are you going ahead with IVF?

chloedancer897 · 08/04/2021 19:39

@RichmondLady1981 it doesn't feel like that long ago, it was around that time I joined the other group I met you on! You deserve every happiness. I check this group now and again to keep up with what's been happening with you. I hope you stay around to keep us updated!

I'm hopefully starting IVF in May. They started me on clomid in the meantime but it's not helping. I am ovulating ok. I'm just not getting pregnant. Here's hoping I get some success with IVF x

swirls3468 · 09/04/2021 11:09

Hi everyone
So pleased to hear about all the BFPs on here. Congratulations.
I had egg collection the other day and they got 17 eggs. 15 were mature and 7 fertilised with ICSI. I can't help but think this is a massive drop off and really worried now that we are gonna have any good embryos Monday. They've done my bloods today - if they are ok and if the embryos make it I'll have a fresh transfer on Monday. Pray for those little embryos 🙏

Anjenla · 09/04/2021 11:23

@swirls3468 Congrats! Don’t worry so much about numbers- it only takes one good, sticky one to make a baby! Will keep fingers crossed for you!

Maddie020 · 09/04/2021 17:06

I think I am out on this round ladies.... I am suppose to do PT on Tuesday but when I used pessaries today I felt my cervix is already low Sad

I sometimes feel I shouldn't be saying as it attracts negativity but can't stop thinking about it - feeling really low and devastated 😞

swirls3468 · 17/04/2021 13:31

Hello all!
Just wondering when you got your BFP? How many days after transfer ?
Hope you are all well!

RichmondLady1981 · 18/04/2021 14:36

@chloedancer897 all the best for next month! Stay in touch! Xx

2mumlife · 07/05/2021 13:51

@RichmondLady1981 I was just having a look to see how things panned out for everyone, and saw your surprise BFP post! Just wanted to say I hope everything is still progressing well for you.
