Hello everyone ! Hope everyone is getting on ok. Congrats to everyone on BFP. I'm hoping that's me at the end of the month.
What side effects did people have (if any) during stims?
Yesterday they put my dose up as I was hardly responding to the very low dose they put me on, even after 6 days. Today is day 8 of stims. I woke up feeling exhausted and very bloated and had diarrhoea 4 times today!! Sorry I know it's gross but just wondering if anyone else had this?
Maybe it's unrelated to the stims, I do get IBS.

Mancbear88 · 30/03/2021 21:24

@thetallgirl congratulations that’s fab news. I ended up booking a scan for today as I couldn’t wait another week. Little heartbeat too, feeling bit less anxiety now!

Maddie020 · 31/03/2021 16:24
@Maddie020 I think if there is only 1 fertilised, they'll do a day 3 transfer. It is better off inside you than being kept in the lab until day 5. The only reason for keeping until day 5 would be to see which embryo was the best to transfer - that's redundant if there's only 1.

Even if the one that is still in the race comes through, they might still opt for a 3 day transfer because they think the quick fertilised one is much better. Again, there would be no point waiting around until day 5 if the decision for which to transfer has already been made.

Transferring the embryo is the best thing for it, so be reassured that transfer on day 3 is giving you the best chance.
Thanks Smile

thetallgirl · 31/03/2021 17:01

@Mancbear88 congrats to you too!

It was reassuring to see but I'm sure the worry won't leave me until I'm well into the second trimester - hopefully i get that far!

Maddie020 · 01/04/2021 14:14

Hey ladies... need an honest opinion.
I just came back from transfer. My embryo only had 3 cells, 1 is on a verge of getting divided further.

Should I be keeping hope?

Really in an empty state atm

Rachae · 01/04/2021 14:22

Hey @Maddie020 was it a day 5 or day 3 transfer? My best friend had her little boy from a 4 cell embryo transferred day 3 x

Maddie020 · 01/04/2021 15:33

It was a day 3 transfer x
Mancbear88 · 03/04/2021 09:51

Bad news, day after my 7 week scan I started bleeding heavily and ended up in A&E (around 24 hours after seeing a baby with a heartbeat). 2nd miscarriage confirmed on April Fools day.
Hoping to get a referral to the recurrent miscarriage clinic.

Good luck to everyone still on the journey!

Rachae · 03/04/2021 10:02

I'm so so sorry to hear this @Mancbear88 Flowers really hope you and your family are ok xx
As and when you're ready, if you ever want to talk about reoccurent MC investigations feel free to pm me. I had regular ones on NHS and then pushed for more and ended up being treated this January and they found causes. (that usual NHS did not) xxx

thetallgirl · 03/04/2021 10:48

Oh @Mancbear88 I'm so sorry to hear that. Please take care of yourself and I hope you get some answers.

Mancbear88 · 03/04/2021 18:34

Thanks both @Rachae that would be really helpful but conscious that it’s not something that’s nice to talk about during pregnancy!! Sorry for your losses but really glad they found something and found a solution - that’s great to hear!

Rachae · 03/04/2021 19:21

I don't mind at all @Mancbear88 and I don't think I'm pregnant this time round Smile drop me a message sometime x

RichmondLady1981 · 05/04/2021 17:53

Hi ladies.

I can’t quite believe I’m typing this. But IM PREGNANT!!!

I did a freeze all round with you all Feb/March and had three blasts to PGTA test. All three came back abnormal. We agreed to go straight into another round of IVF to search for the golden egg - meds arrive tomorrow to start injecting Thursday! Felt a bit off today (hot, heart felt like it was beating out of my chest at night) so did a pregnancy test and POSITIVE! Didn’t track this month as knew we would be going straight into another round of IVF and only had sex ONCE!!!

I know it’s very early and things are still likely to go wrong, but still have a little glimmer of hope. Got an appointment tomorrow at the clinic for a beta blood test.

Wish me luck! Hope you are all well!! praying for you all! X

@RichmondLady1981 wow congratulations!!! I’m not normally on this thread, but like to have a look as there’s so many positive stories. So happy for you, best of luck for a healthy journey x

thetallgirl · 05/04/2021 19:27

Oh my gosh @RichmondLady1981 that is AMAZING!! Huge congratulations! Obviously all those meds from Feb time had a positive impact on your body. It's so magical that you conceived naturally after everything you've been through. Wishing you all the best for a healthy pregnancy!

RichmondLady1981 · 05/04/2021 19:37

@IslandStars thank you- I remember chatting to you about PGT-A testing. Hope all is well with you?

@thetallgirl- thank you so much. How are you doing?

thetallgirl · 05/04/2021 20:05

I'm doing well thank you. 7+3 today, barely any nausea thankfully but lots of tiredness. My first scan at the IVF clinic went ok - was measuring slightly behind, so I have booked a private one next week. Fingers crossed everything is ok and then maybe I'll start relaxing a bit more. I've found that I've been worrying a lot.
Hope everything goes well for you.

IslandStars · 05/04/2021 20:07

@RichmondLady1981 Yes I remember when we discussed PGT. Had a rough couple of weeks as my first euploid FET failed, just unlucky I guess as my lining was good. I’ve got one more left which I hope to transfer next month, so trying to stay positive. Thanks for asking, onwards and upwards for us both I hope!

RichmondLady1981 · 05/04/2021 21:24

@thetallgirl good luck with your private scan. Easy for people to say not to worry. Hopefully this scan will give you more peace of mind.

@IslandStars so sorry to hear that. Everything crossed for your next transfer. Have you done an ERA?

Mrbay · 06/04/2021 08:11

Morning All!

Sorry I had to take a bit of a break from the boards as I was just doing my own head in with worry and comparing myself to others.
I've had my scan at 7 + 2 and we saw a heartbeat - I spent 2-days in shock as I never really thought we'd get to this stage.

@Mancbear88 - I am so very sorry, I do hope that you get answers, can you be referred?

@RichmondLady1981 - OMG!! That is some very strong tests, I am over the moon for you. Will you book in for an early scan?

Congrats to those have also got their BFPs!

@thetallgirl - I think that is pretty normal for twins as they have a little less room!

IslandStars · 06/04/2021 08:27

@RichmondLady1981 Thanks, i’ve got a review this week with the clinic. I’d like to adjust the medication in some way, don't want the exact same protocol of the failed FET. I'm undecided on ERA because of the time involved, so will take their view. I don’t want to lose too many months this year being 42 now incase I need more rounds, but if they see a benefit with ERA, then i'll do it.

RichmondLady1981 · 06/04/2021 09:02

Mr @Mrbay congratulations on seeing the heart beat. Very special moment for you. Totally understand about comparing. It’s unhealthy but sometimes unavoidable. Take some time away knowing you’ve seen your little bubba’s heart chugging away.

Yes I’d like to have an early scan. I’m petrified but want to know. On my way to the clinic now for a blood test to see if everything is in order with levels etc.

@IslandStars I totally understand what you’re saying re time. But we we talking about a few weeks which on the grand scale of things isn’t much. How many embryos do you have ? Think of it another way, it could end up saving you time in the long run too! 😊. Keep us posted on your journey. X

RichmondLady1981 · 06/04/2021 09:03

@thetallgirl I’d forgotten it was twins. How exciting. 😁. X

thetallgirl · 06/04/2021 09:09

@Mrbay @RichmondLady1981 I'm not twins. I had 2 embryos transferred, one stuck, which I'm over the moon with. Twins would have been a double blessing but perhaps a bit overwhelming too!
