Is anyone starting ivf in March/April?
Have had confirmation today I will be starting treatment in March. Been prescribed norethisterone, which I have to take CD21 of my next period (due next week).

@Orsh sorry to hear that. The first injection for me was difficult and heart was racing. How you feeling now? Any news if you're ok to carry on?

@Donimo I've been checked waiting for your update! Good luck for your one, it's only takes one! Everything crossed for you and Easter Monday transfer xx

beachbum85 · 03/04/2021 18:04

@Donimo I'm really sorry you didn't get the news you hoped for! It does only take one (I keep telling myself too, as we also had just one by transfer day). My clinic also said what @Bethpalmer20 said, that embryos do much better in the womb than the lab, so fingers crossed that it stays strong and gets snuggly in there.
Best of luck to both of you for your transfer on Monday x

@Orsh I'm so sorry about last night, that must have been a scary moment there! I hope the clinic lets you start tonight, and that it will be much easier for you x

@RedFaerieBoots I'm glad we could help a bit, it is such an intense time... I hope you're doing well today.

@Hazza2021 I hope your nausea is under control. When's your test day?

@Lclarke111 I'm feeling well, thanks! Pretty normal apart from the sore boobs and rare, light cramps. Makes me worry that this hasn't worked... but counting down the says to test day on Friday!
Like @Donimo I felt totally fine after EC and didn't need painkillers. I hope your cramps have subsided! The problem hit me when I started feeling the Cyclogest a few days later... Not pleasant at all, but luckily it was over pretty quick.
@6543336787gesgvjhg I also found taking the Cyclogest rectally much, much better. But my belly is still super bloated!

@PurpleUnicorn01 how are you?

Hazza2021 · 03/04/2021 19:20

@beachbum85 I’ve not felt great all day again but I’m feeling so negative about it all since they were put back as they were both poor quality. My test day is Tuesday but I may test Monday as I have work on Tuesday and at least I have all of Monday to be sad!

beachbum85 · 03/04/2021 19:35

@Hazza2021 don't give up yet! If they survived to transfer day, then hopefully they kept developing once they were put back... and there were 2! Hopefully your nausea means something. I'm definitely keeping everything crossed for you x

Hazza2021 · 03/04/2021 19:42

@beachbum85 How are you feeling? When is your test day?

Lclarke111 · 03/04/2021 20:59

Having a panic now- just pulled two triggers, one was 1ml and it was fine, the other was a 1ml solution and we mixed the two together and then my husband drew it up; but some spilled out- we were meant to inject 0.75ml and it was more like 0.60. I rang the emergency number and she said nothing I can do now but should be ok because I got the 1ml of the first one in but I am really worried I messed up. Has anyone else had any leak?

Donimo · 04/04/2021 08:11

@Lclarke111 try to relax, hopefully it will be fine. There was only a little bit you missed. But can understand you worrying about it. Fingers crossed its all fine

Lclarke111 · 04/04/2021 09:57

Have spoken to the nurse this morning and she said it was less than half lost so I will be fine as I had two trigger shots and that I am first in the morning so I should be fine @Donimo x

6543336787gesgvjhg · 04/04/2021 11:25

@Lclarke111 glad the nurse has confirmed this morning. I found the trigger the most nerve racking as we had a pen trigger and you obviously only get one and it means so much does it. Good luck for EC tomorrow x

Lclarke111 · 04/04/2021 11:27

@6543336787gesgvjhg thank you, getting excited now!!

Happy Easter all xEaster Wink

Orsh · 04/04/2021 11:33

Thank you for all your support.
I spoke with the hospital yesterday morning and I was told not to do stims now. I need to call them on Tuesday as they want to investigate what happened. They said I my be able to start on Tuesday but we know it is not true. So I have a total meltdown since. Let alone I still don't feel 100%.
Hopefully next month...

I am sending lots of positive thoughts your way @Donimo. And keeping everything crossed for your 1 to make it comfy after the transfer.

I hope your spotting is a good sign @RedFaerieBoots. It must be very stressful, but fingers crossed for a BFP.

@Lclarke111 It is good news the nurse said it will be fine. I am sure in general they give slightly bigger doses than needed, just to stay on a safe side. Good luck with your transfer!

Have a good day everyone! Best of luck to you all!

RedFaerieBoots · 04/04/2021 12:04

It got heavier. Still very light to a normal period but looks more period like. So pretty sure its going to be a BFN but because of how light & the cramps being side or front (my period cramps are always lower back) there is some hope.

Called the emergency clinic number when it changed and the oncall consultant was very curt -bleeding means it looks bad but we will see you on test date. No sugarcoating but definitely felt like I was being a nuisance. Only used that as clinic was closed and I was told to call that if it changed. Thankfully the other staff are lovely. Just this one consultant Hmm

So still think I'm out but confused.

Lclarke111 · 04/04/2021 12:31

@Orsh lots of self love needed right now, take time to recoup before next month and use this extra time to get yourself ready for it to begin xx
Yes I thought that over prescribing so they allow for a little spillage but praying for a good collection tomorrow xxx

RedFaerieBoots · 04/04/2021 13:04

@orsh - having a meltdown whilst doing IVF regardless of the stage is perfectly understandable. Sending you lots of of hugs.

Bethpalmer20 · 04/04/2021 14:14

Sending you lots of love @redfaerieboots and hoping for aa positive outcome for you. Its so stressful not knowing..

I'm starting to feel anxious for transfer tomorrow. My day 3 update was purely 'they are progressing well, some better than others' really hoping for a good quality embryo 🤞

Sungirl11 · 04/04/2021 16:36

Hi everyone!

@Orsh I had my period on the 30th and starting on the 7th. I know it's nothing like your protocol but maybe you have a chance. Don't loose hope!
I also hope you are feeling better now, my husband had one of those faints and had 7 stitches on his eyebrow... they are nasty faints.

@Lclarke111 i believe it still should be ok! I would panic too... but it's very little and i'm sure it happens to a lot of people! In the end (most of us) are not medically trained so it can't go perfect.

@Hazza2021 keeping my fingers crossed for you and your little fighters!

@RedFaerieBoots some consultants... ugh! Hope it's just something to do with the process, I have heard IVF does give odd bleeds also, so wishing that is what it is. Don't loose hope!

@Bethpalmer20 exciting day tomorrow!!! Sure you have fighters there!! Strong ones!! Xx

Crazydoglady123 · 04/04/2021 20:27

Sorry to hear that @Orsh. Hope your clinic works with you to overcome the injections.

Good luck @Lclarke111. Pleased they said it'd be okay.

@RedFaerieBoots everything crossed for you 🤞

@Bethpalmer20 good luck. You wish they'd send a detailed report of each embryo 🤣

@Donimo did you feel bloated on the buserelin? I'm not sure if the cysts are causing the bloating or the the buserelin but it's higher up the last couple of days and I feel like I've done a 100 sit ups 🙈

Lclarke111 · 04/04/2021 22:44

Thank you @Crazydoglady123 and @Sungirl11 xx

beachbum85 · 04/04/2021 23:04

@Hazza2021 I'm feeling well thanks! I have some random cramps sometimes but otherwise I feel very normal. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing... My test day is Friday and I'm counting down! Good luck with your test tomorrow. I think it's a good idea to test whilst you're off from work if you can... I'll be thinking of you x

@Lclarke111 good luck for tomorrow! I can understand the panic but I'm glad the nurse confirmed it's fine. I'm sure there's some leeway there. Not quite the same but I was starting to panic because they didn't take me into EC exactly 36h after the trigger, and closer to 37h, but it was all fine in the end too. Fingers crossed for lots of Easter eggs tomorrow!

Oh @Orsh I'm so sorry they didn't let you start. Here's hoping they come up with a different plan to start on Tuesday or, in the worst case, they help you through it for an easier time next month. Sending you a big hug... Feel better soon x

@RedFaerieBoots I'm so sorry the consultant was an ass... That's all you need in an already very stressful moment! I've not been through it before but I'd say there's definitely still hope if it's not like your period and I'm thinking of you and keeping everything crossed for you. When are you due to test?

@Bethpalmer20 and @Donimo very best of luck for your transfers tomorrow! xx

Donimo · 05/04/2021 07:20

@Lclarke111 good luck for your egg collection today

@Bethpalmer20 good luck for your transfer today. I'm wide awake worrying my embryo hasn't made it.

@Crazydoglady123 I didn't really feel bloated on Burselin, but I think it's quite normal. Have you had a bleed yet? As my af symptoms were definitely stronger for a few days before my af than normal, and remember exercising at that time and couldn't do abs stuff.

Lclarke111 · 05/04/2021 07:48

Thinking of you today @Bethpalmer20 and thank you all, on my way x

Bethpalmer20 · 05/04/2021 09:12

Thank you @beachbum85

@lclarke111 thank you! Thinking of you also, keeping my fingers crossed for lots of good eggs for you!

@donimo good luck to you too! Thinking of you today. I've been Wide awake for the last hour. Clinic were supposed to call before I go in at 12 but nothing yet, very anxious! X

Bethpalmer20 · 05/04/2021 10:17

Just received a call from the clinic. We have one top quality embryo to be transferred today and 2 to freeze. I am so happy and feel so relieved!

granddesigns · 05/04/2021 10:33

Great news @Bethpalmer20 - breathe a sigh of relief and hope the transfer goes well. When they said too quality to us I just spent the next 15 mins crying with relief - then running round the house and drinking water as they also brought the transfer forward time wise! Hope you can have a nice calm and relaxing day after. Good luck to those having collections and transfers in the next few days. I'm doing ok but still super nervous and not daring to believe too much till the scan! I'm waking in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, early ever morning for bathroom and not going back to sleep and still have sore boobs on and off. Also had a nap yesterday tea time and sitting on the sofa with dh actually means him watching tv and me nodding off but that's all..... hopefully lucky and things are progressing but nerve wracking too - if we get through today uneventfully we have passed the 6 week mark which we didn't pass last time so keeping everything crossed. Don't dare wee on more sticks as the line got really dark after OTD on some internet cheapies I had from before ivf but I'm at risk of stressing myself out if I compare too many and I wouldn't always remember to catch my middle of the night visit so there would be lots of variation between tests! Keeping on with the one day at a time approach!
