Is anyone starting ivf in March/April?
Have had confirmation today I will be starting treatment in March. Been prescribed norethisterone, which I have to take CD21 of my next period (due next week).

@Bethpalmer20 amazing news that you have responded well. I agree it didn't seem real until trigger time! Good luck tomorrow!

@Lclarke111 I felt queasy for most of stims and it got really bad one night that I had to sit in the bathroom for a while. The nurse said I was probably just sensitive to the hormones. Let your nurse know as I know vomiting can be a sign of OHSS but it usually occurs after trigger.

@Narwhal88 thank you, I will call them today, I have my next scan tomorrow so hopefully they'll find out more then. I am dosing up on crackers right now lol x

Got a call today

9 eggs were collected
8 were mature and 4 fertilised

Hoping to have embryo transfer on Thursday they will call me on Thursday

@Lclarke111 I've never been sick but defo felt sick after some of them.

Got one A which has gone back in and 3 in the freezer which is a B and two C's. They will check on the others tomorrow but doubt they will be fit to freeze 😁

@6543336787gesgvjhg that's excellent!! An A transferred and 3 in the freezer is quite the dream :) I hope you enjoyed those fries, and your A sticks!

@Narwhal88 wow, I cannot believe you felt it all during EC... that's quite a scary thought! How was your transfer today? all good with the fries?! :)

@RedFaerieBoots I have had some cramps off-and-on... generally much milder than pre-period cramps, but I woke up in the night with some strong ones. I heard it's normal to have these sort of cramps throughout the tww, regardless of whether we're pregnant or not. Not loving it though! I hope you didn't get a migraine or any other side effects x

I’ve been lurking quietly on this thread for a while, but today I could really do with a little moan. I know it’ll probably get much worse than this as I’m only on the first stage of the first cycle. I’ve been taking provera since the 19th and just got past the days that would have been my period if I wasn’t taking it. I’ve been having nightmares every night since I started taking it. My husband leaving me, public embarrassment, bugs all over me, being trapped in a windowless room with rising water, lost in a burning building, on and on and on. If I have a night without vivid nightmares I wake up really early and can’t get back to sleep again. This morning I feel really queasy and bloated and fed up with myself. I want to stamp my feet like a grumpy toddler and have a good self indulgent cry. But I suppose I’d better pull myself together and do some work!

Good to see the updates from those who have had collections and transfers - sorry I've lost track of next steps for each poster but keep dipping my feet in the thread to keep up to date with general progress! Feeling a bit nervous today as it was this day in my last positive cycle that bleeding started and it all went down hill over course of next 6 days. Really hoping this is different but will be happier when hopefully make it to scan and get things confirmed in a couple of weeks. Have stepped away from the sticks for a few days as they definitely got darker but don't want to add extra stress if they look different etc - as long as boobs still sore and still waking in the night for bathroom I think things are progressing.....

Sorry to hear you are struggling with Provera @The3rdWatermelon - only one course of those to comment on and no strange dreams but I recall the bloating and feeling rubbish pre bleed. How long a course are you on the tablets for? I think they said a bleed was likely 5-7 days after (they gave it to me when they broke my system and I didn't down reg properly and then didn't bleed the following month so I felt very full and uncomfortable!) hopefully you can reset quickly and get some time to feel more normal between this stage and the next part of your treatment.

Now I'm reading and thinking am I mixing provera and Progynova - sorry if that's not helpful @The3rdWatermelon! I took both - once to induce a missing bleed and the other to build the lining in FETS with varying success! The Progynova made me feel queasy so had to space out in 2 tablet taking sessions in the day as they put me on a very high dose.

@The3rdWatermelon I am glad I'm not the only one, my dreams are so vivid and lots of nightmares too, hopefully it will get better for you.

On our way to our scan and I have serious scanxiety that it hasn't worked, I know it's natural to worry so trying to be positive. Good luck @Bethpalmer20 for EC today and @Donimo for your scan xx

So sorry to hear you are struggling. This is a difficult process and can bring about a lot of complex feelings.

Think most of the clinics offer support, have you checked with yours? Might help to talk to someone, just to acknowledge everything you are feeling without any judgement. I found it quite useful after my 2nd cycle as I wasn't ready to talk to family and friends. It might help with the nightmares as well.

And just be kind to yourself, if you need to have a cry...make time and have a good one. It's ok. Can't tell you how many times I have done that. Do whatever you need to do to make yourself as comfortable through this process, you deserve it.

Bit of update from my end and it’s not the most amazing news. Had my first stim scan this morning and my follicles are not responding at all to gonal f. I am so disappointed, can’t stop crying. They’ve upped my dose to 450 and going for a second scan on Friday. If they are still not responding, the cycle will be cancelled. Anyone had any similar experience? Did increasing the dose help ? Both my right and left are silent, what can I do ?

@Itsjustme2021 are you just taking Gonal F? Was it the 300?
I start on GonalF 450 and Pergoveris both at start. Which is quite a lot more. But i really don't know why we all have so many different protocols...
I really hope the dose does work now. Will keep my fingers crossed. Xx

So results are:
Over 12mm- 18
Over 16mm 4,

Next scan is Saturday and still looking at egg collection on Monday so by Saturday should see more developed at the 16mm stage, very happy!!

@Itsjustme2021 hopefully a higher dose you'll respond more?

I've just had a scan at my clinic to see if I can start my buserelin today after over stimulating on Clomid. I have a 6cm haemorraghic cyst and two 4-5cm follicles but last week I had 3 more so I have ovulated apparently. It's up in the air how my protocol is going to be but I'm to start my buserelin injections tomorrow and be re scanned in 2-3 weeks to decide what happens next. Original plan had been to start buserelin today for 2 weeks then start stims but I'm now not sure my timeline now. Has anyone had to stay on down regs longer than planned? I'm pleased I get to start tomorrow at least!

@Itsjustme2021 please don't loose hope yet. At my first simms scan (day 8). I wasn't responding at all. I was already on max dose so they changed my medication. 3 days later I went for another scan expecting to have it cancelled but there were 2 follicles. Just had another scan today (day 16 of stimms) and now have 2 good sized follicles 19.5 and 17 5 and 2 smaller ones 12.5 and 10.5 and 2 tiny ones. Now booked for egg collection on Friday . The nurse thinks the smallest 3 won't have a good egg and the 12.5 maybe won't. But 2 larger ones looking good. So likely we will only get 2 eggs but hoping for 3. So please don't loose hope.

@The3rdWatermelon sorry you are struggling with your sleep. My dreams haven't been too bad but been waking about 3-4am most nights and only falling back to sleep just before my alarm goes off . Think its the hormones.

@granddesigns have you got any symptoms yet? When is your scan booked for?

@Crazydoglady123raz I ended up taking down regulation for a week longer than planned due to my period being late. Now have taken stimms for almost a week longer than expected. So I am almost 2 weeks behind where I expected to be.

So the end is insight with EC on Friday! Feels like this process has gone on and on!

How is everyone going in the 2ww, when are your test dates?

Egg collection went well, had the best nap of my life

14 eggs retrieved with about 12 (approximately) mature. I am happy with this although expected more from 40 follicles. Keeping everything crossed we get some fertilise tomorrow!

@Donimo I find out tonight if egg collection being moved to Saturday, but I think they'll keep it for Monday xx

@Bethpalmer20 nice!! It's still a good number!
