IVF March/April

Is anyone starting ivf in March/April?
Have had confirmation today I will be starting treatment in March. Been prescribed norethisterone, which I have to take CD21 of my next period (due next week).

@Donimo yeyyy EC booked for you. Congratulations! So trigger tonight? What time? I had ET yesterday and test date is 12th April.

So out of our 11 collected we had 11 fertilised. I have had a call today to say two more grade A will be frozen today. I cried so happy. We had 3 grade a, 1 b and 3c's. I had grade a transferred yesterday. Just feels like less pressure now if it doesn't all work out this time!

I can't share it with anyone else so I'm so glad we have this little chat!

@Donimo I'm so happy for you that your follicles are continuing to grow and you have EC scheduled :)
So far, the tww is much easier than I expected! I don't feel anything much except very light cramps off-and-on, but I'm feeling calm even knowing it could go either way. Test date is 9th April and I took the day off to process things, and so that I have a reason not to be tempted to test early.

@Bethpalmer20 glad to hear EC went well! That's a great number of eggs :) good luck for your fertilisation update tomorrow!

@Itsjustme2021 sorry to hear about your scan and I really hope the change in meds gets things moving. I had one unresponsive side initially, but turns out it was just slower as the follicles eventually showed up even without a change in dose. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

@granddesigns glad you're feeling well, although I can understand the worry... fingers crossed that everything goes super smooth until your scan comes around! Do you have a date already?

@The3rdWatermelon sorry to hear about those nightmares, on top of feeling unwell today. None of this is easy, but don't beat yourself up about it. I hope it gets better soon but, in the meantime, like @KB2209 said if you need to cry or you feel down about it all, it's totally normal x

@Donimo did they have trouble "waking" your ovaries back up after the extra week, hence the extra week of stims? Bet you must be chuffed to have an end in sight!

@Sungirl11 I’m also taking buserelin at 20iu. My dose dropped down from 50 when I started simms .

@Donimo thanks for this. It’s also my day 8 scan. Ec is scheduled for Monday but got my next scan on Friday. Glad to hear there is hope.

Taking the rest of the day and tomorrow off from work just so I can have maximum rest. I might try to sleep as much as I can if I can finally get my mind off things as I’m so worried and concerned.

Thanks @beachbum85. I'm actually excited for my first injection (especially knowing the buserelin will shrink these cysts/follicles!)

@Crazydoglady123 I was so excited too! After all the waiting, first injection means things are finally happening :)

@Itsjustme2021 I hope you manage to have a good rest! When anxious I try listen to meditations and usually I'm fast asleep within 5 minutes... I dunno if it will help you but I've tried to listen to this numerous times and always fall asleep instantly:

@6543336787gesgvjhg thats great news. Hope this one sticks for you but great that you have so many as back up too. I am still waiting for a telephone call to confirm the time of my trigger shot but she said about 9-10pm.

@beachbum85 glad you are doing well. And thats a really good idea to take the day off whatever the result.

@Crazydoglady123 I am not sure if it was the extra week of Burselin or just me as I have low AMH. But it could well of taken longer to wake them up. I really don't know if it was the Burselin or just me as this is my first cycle.

@Itsjustme2021 there is definitely hope but you may need to take the stimms for longer. I have done 16 days. Hold on and good luck for Friday, let us know how that goes. Also I don't know if it made a difference or not but since my first scan I have ate so much protein, well over the 60g recommended per day. Ill be glad not to see another egg or chicken for a long time after Friday! And like others have said done lots of IVF guided meditation, even been doing these on the drive to all my appointments. The insight timer app is free and good for general meditation and has a couple of IVF ones on their too.

Just been given the go ahead for scan to be moved forward to Friday instead of sat, which could mean Easter Sunday collection!!

@KB2209 thank you for the kind message. I had chicken soup for lunch and took myself out for a nice walk, which has helped a bit.

Hi we will be going ahead tomorrow hopefully and they have given me and option of transferring 1 embryo or 2 and i really want to have two but they are saying i am young so my chances are higher

@Lclarke111 I'm also hoping that Easter is good for eggs. But happy my EC is now Friday rather than Monday as I can now eat an Easter egg! As been avoiding chocolate during stimms.

@Freya2015 good luck for tomorrow. I think go with what you feel is best. But would you be happy if both took and it was twins?

Oh @Donimo you are better than me, I have had a few naughty days on stims- still making sure I am having my supplements, lots of green leafy veg, salmon once a week, only drinking water this week and a decaf tea. But chocolate gets me through the week sometimes lol!!! Monday is my hubby's 40th so I kind of want to have the Sunday collection so I can rest Sunday and enjoy yummy cake on Monday x

Sorry hadn't had a chance to reply to people so catching up now. We got a phone call today a day earlier than planned but our second one continued to develop! We got one freeze! We didn't think we would at all so we are absolutely over the moon for this. Good grading as well and as there was only a 1% fragmentation difference between the transferred one and that one (everything else looked identical) fingers crossed. Although I won't allow myself to be hopeful, i 100% survive this journey by being realistic (my DH on the other hand is happy enough for the both of us)

@beachbum85 Originally our test day was the 9th but they called us as that was a mistake (we guessed that) so they want us to test 11th and give them a call on the 12th! DH wants us to test early but i don't want to. Hopefully I can hold out long enough not to hahah

@Itsjustme2021 Sorry your not responding as they hoped. I stopped responding to my meds around d8/9 so out of 31 potential we only had 3 grow up for collection. Fingers crossed the increased dosage will help you.

Freya2015 it won't let me tag you! Go with what you think is best. We had two identical grades on D3 and due to our age we didnt even get the option to transfer the two. They wouldn't allow it for us. Go with what you want to do and what you think is the best for yourself x

Just had a called from the clinic, we have 9 fertilised!! Ahhh I'm so happy! Now just got to keep everything crossed we get some good quality embryos for day 5!

So we decided to go with 1 embryo transfer On day 3 it was difficult because I have vaginumus but we got to there in the end testing on 12th April
