Is anyone starting ivf in March/April?
Have had confirmation today I will be starting treatment in March. Been prescribed norethisterone, which I have to take CD21 of my next period (due next week).

So pleased for you!!!

beachbum85 · 29/03/2021 14:59

Excellent news @Freya2015! Good luck for tomorrow's update but take it easy in the meantime!! x

Donimo · 29/03/2021 15:26

Congratulations @Freya2015 hope you manage to get some rest this afternoon. Fingers crossed for them fertilising tomorrow

I had another scan today. And have 2 good sized follicles (16mm and 13mm) and 2 smaller follicles (9-10mm). Which is much better than last week. Looking at egg collection on Friday or Monday. Depending on another scan on Wednesday. Nurse wasn't convinced the 2 smaller ones would be ready but Im really hoping they catch up. Thinking positive as the smaller ones were not there at all on Friday.

Lclarke111 · 29/03/2021 15:30

9 is amazing @Freya2015 looking forward
To hearing tomorrow's results!!

@Donimo if Monday- I will be right there with you on Monday xx

Itstime1 · 29/03/2021 15:50

@Freya2015 congratulations!
@Donimo so happy things are progressing for you, good luck for the scan on Wednesday

@6543336787gesgvjhg our main nurse told us this! She told us to get some after the transfer haha

So we got an update call this morning, both were growing well and we could choose to continue with today or wait for day 5. Both were graded good (that’s the highest level at our clinic For day 3) and 6% fragmentation so it looked positive for both. They were near enough identical as well so we chose to progress with today and had our transfer this afternoon!

Hopefully the other one continues to grow and can be frozen, we won’t find out until Thursday for that.

Now the fantastic TWW to go...

Good luck all Smile

beachbum85 · 29/03/2021 16:10

Congrats on your transfer @Itstime1! Welcome to the tww :)
And I hope you get a frostie as well! Fingers crossed x

@Donimo I'm so glad that the change in meds was effective and things have improved! Good luck for Wednesday and hopefully they'll get you to trigger then!

@6543336787gesgvjhg I didn't get fried right after because my stomach was weird but I did treat myself in the evening. No reason not to continue to fuel the myth, I thought haha

beachbum85 · 29/03/2021 16:10

Fries, not fried!

6543336787gesgvjhg · 29/03/2021 17:28

@beachbum85

Fries, not fried!
@beachbum85 Haha love it, I'll defo do that then.

@Itstime1 that's great news. What date have you been given to test? I've been given 12th April - first day back in the office so not good timing 😕

@Donimo that's great news. Im sure they will catch up. I was told if they are 11 they should have an egg in them so I'm sure they will grow by Friday/Monday! Keep us updated after Wednesday.

X

Sungirl11 · 29/03/2021 17:33

Hello!!
@Itstime1 yay!! So happy for you. Good luck this aft on ET, wishing it's a super sticky bean.

@Freya2015 yay for you too!! 9 is a lush number and fresh transfer!! Loving it all!

RedFaerieBoots · 29/03/2021 17:34

Whats with the maccies fries myth? Now craving chips.

Anyone feel cramps like pre period was due on day 2 post transfer? Trying to gauge how normal this is Confused

6543336787gesgvjhg · 29/03/2021 17:46

Copied from the internet @RedFaerieBoots.

But infertility superstitionn_ says that if you eat McDonald’s french fries after your IVF embryo transfer, you’re more likely to get pregnant.
Now, let’s not look a gift horse in the mouth and ask too many questions here, infertility sisters.
Maybe it’s pure superstition.
Maybe it’s voodoo magic.
Maybe it’s the absurdly high salt content forcing your body to absorb all your fluids, making your uterus nice and cushy.
Maybe the oil McDonald’s uses is laced with some kind of glue that helps little embryos latch on tight to your uterus.
(I went one too far, didn’t I?)

ForeverHopeful17 · 29/03/2021 17:48

Hi ladies, Thank you all for your well wishes and all the luck you sent me as it definitely worked! They were able to collect from my right ovary which I was told wasn't possible and I got 18 eggs in total! I was in complete shock but I'm so grateful as I was expecting so much less.

Egg collection went so smooth, one minute I was talking to the anethesist next minute I was back in the room before hubby had come back from giving his sample.

@Freya2015 congratulations, I've got my fingers crossed for you x

@RedFaerieBoots and @beachbum85 I'm so sorry you didn't end up with any frosties but I really do hope you have some sticky beans on board x

Wow @6543336787gesgvjhg to have 11 still going is amazing, I hope you end up with lots of good quality blasts and good luck with transfer tomorrow. I'm not at transfer stage yet, but I've already planned which McDonald's I'll be stopping at on my way back from the clinic when that day comes lol x

@Donimo I'm so pleased that your follicles are progressing well, good luck with your scans on Wednesday @Donimo and @Lclarke111 x

Congratulations on being PUPO @Itstime1 fingers crossed for you x

6543336787gesgvjhg · 29/03/2021 17:51

@ForeverHopeful17 wow 18 that amazing! Rest up now! Let us know the update tomorrow.

@RedFaerieBoots period like pains? It's strange it's it as surely this has messed up our normal cycle. Like I would be due on 7th/8th April... but if I'm "late" it might not actually mean anything. Try not to overthink it xx

Donimo · 29/03/2021 21:01

@Lclarke111 have you had a scan today?

@Itstime1 congratulations on your transfer. Hope you feeling okay and fingers crossed for the remaining one.

Thank you @6543336787gesgvjhg, I have been reading articles today saying that 12-20mm sized follicles on the day of the trigger are the targets. So really hoping the 2 smaller ones will grow a little more. Loving your maccies voodoo!! I have been so careful in eating whilst doing stimms.... can't wait for some rubbish food (and if its actually good for you!!)

Great news @ForeverHopeful17 and amazing they collected from both ovaries. Fingers crossed for fertilisation for you.

Lclarke111 · 29/03/2021 21:37

Thank you @ForeverHopeful17actually getting excited for it. 18 is amazing after not knowing how your right would do!!!

@Donimo my scan was yesterday and next one weds, I'm set to have EC on Monday x

What's everyone's next stage? X

RedFaerieBoots · 29/03/2021 21:55

So couldn't get maccies delivered (boo) but I did have chippy chips Wink

Definitely blaming the drugs/hormones. As I now have a stinker of a headache. I suffer hormonal migraines occasionally so looks like the 2ww will be fun. Heres hoping just headaches and not migraines...

Lclarke111 · 30/03/2021 07:56

@RedFaerieBoots praying for a sticky baby xxx

Narwhal88 · 30/03/2021 08:14

@ForeverHopeful17 amazing news that they managed to get to your right ovary, 18 is great number! I wish my EC was as smooth, I had such light sedation that I was awake throughout and felt it all, I guess it wasn't as bad as if I weren't given anything but it didn't feel that way at the time!

@Donimo I had quite a few that were 11/12mm and some must have caught up as I got 12 eggs. Fingers crossed!

We will be picking up Five Guys after transfer tomorrow as we prefer that to McDonald's!

In regards to it messing up your normal cycle, my EC was actually on my normal ovulation day, so I feel pretty much in line with my cycle. I know due to the drugs this is probably not the case but I am wondering if it doesn't work if I will start my period on my normal due date!

Bethpalmer20 · 30/03/2021 09:11

Hey everyone!

Good luck to all doing EC / ET this week!

I went in for my day 9 scan yesterday and they said follicles are looking very big and have changed egg collection from next Monday to tomorrow Shock I officially pulled the trigger last night. Wasn't too nervous up until now I feel like it's really becoming real!

Lclarke111 · 30/03/2021 09:47

Has anyone else been sick during injections? Had one this morning and within the house thrown up :( just wondered if anyone else had experienced it x
