Is it too soon?

Hi Is anyone starting IVF in January/February next year?

We had our first failed IVF cycle in October and looking to go for our second cycle but the way my periods are it falls over xmas when they are shut.

So we are starting in Jan :)

Morning all, just did my first buserelin shot, a bit stingy but not too bad. This is me for the next two weeks now! Work is horrific and I'm really worried about how the stress will effect the process. I'm currently working my 4th weekend of the month, 50- 60 hrs a week and I just can't take it anymore, not sleeping cant stomach food, this can't be good right?

So got my day 5 call. T of 9 only 2 are slow blasts. The rest are slower. Will get amother call tomorrow.to see if the 2 will have made it. so upset.

Oh no @hopefully2, that is so upsetting. I'm so sorry for you.
Is it possible for the others to catch up? You were going for generic testing, weren't you? Sending lots of love xx

@hopefully21 that happened to me on day 5. They froze a 1BB and early blastocyst which was ungraded as so early. On day 6, I then had a 4BB and a 5BB frozen. I will keep everything crossed for you! One more day can definitely make a huge difference!

@jonrik the embryologist was not very optimistic. @PT8998 fingers crossed the extra day improves things enough to have even 1 to test but not feeling very confident. DH and I have decided to take 3 months put 100% into it and do e last round. Then it will be time to just move on wthe our lives. Best of luck with yours. You have a few chances with those frozen too which is great.

@Lola98 very sorry to hear your news. Take your time to grieve, I have always found it makes bouncing back easier. And you seem to have a plan for the next steps, which is always crucial.

I had my day 8 scan today. Lining was 6.4mm so it’s growing albeit slowly. I have 2 more days of stims to see if I can get it above 7mm. I had a chat with my dr today and she said she would be prepared to transfer at 7mm, even though she prefers to have at least 8mm. So just need to get those few extra fractions of a mm!

@Motherofkittens28 I always hold an ice pack on my leg before I Inject. It helps Massively.

I’m now 8dp3dt have had sore boobs, lots of cramps, a bit of nausea. Although today not as much trying my best to resist in testing. My blood test is on Tuesday morning. Do you think I should be able to pick it up on a test now if it was to be positive? I only had a day 3 transfer so not sure how long I need to wait.

Fingers crossed @Birdladybird! How intense were the cramps and at what point did symptoms start for you? I’m only a couple of days past 5 day transfer

@Birdladybird thanks a lot. I wouldn't test yet. Too early as it was 3d. Don't want you to be disappointed. .you could get a false negative.

@MF1981 started 2 days after transfer and have been every day. Not bad enough to take any painkillers but a sharp twinge followed by an achy feeling. My boobs were super sore at first but that has calmed down now, they are a little sore and tingly but not like at first. It’s really hard to know what is real or what is caused by the medication (or what is in my head!!).

@hopefully21 it’s so hard now to give in. I have one test in my drawer which I’ve been saving. I might use it on Monday then I’ll be 10dp3dt. I think it would show then if it was going to x

@Birdladybird I’ve had some really faint cramping last night and today but no sore boobs at all yet. Hope you can wait it out until at least Monday 😬

@Birdladybird if you can wait to Monday that'll be 13dpo so very sensitive. Today it's only like 70% pregnancy sensitive depending on test so reasonable chance of false negative.

I wouldn't advise testing yet but i don't have that kind of self control to hold off so...

@Birdladybird I know exactly how you feel. I tested early last time!! Hard to resist with a test in the house.

Taken my 3rd evening injection of Menopur tonight..it’s really starting to sting and that’s after using the ice tray. I think the first 2 injections were too high up, 2” from my belly button but realised it should be lower today and I think that’s why it was much worse..

Tomorrow I then start morning injections (fyremadel) too...😩 2 needles a day! I’m thinking of doing those in the leg..🤔

I’m counting down..14 needles to go!
