IVF Dec 2020-Jan 2021-anyone joining me?

Hi,
After 2 years TTC #1 we are now eventually on the IVF bus! Should have started in June but Covid put a stop to that and after lots of back/forth with our NHS clinic we've got our treatment planning appointment on Friday and will be on the long protocol so probably starting mid- end of December!
Would love to have some ladies join me!
I've been creeping on other IVF threads but haven't been able to fully take part.

@RichmondLady1981 amazingly I held off giving in and testing early!

Ended up testing at 4am as I just could not sleep! I got a BFP!
I'm delighted,
but also incredibly anxious and afraid to let myself get too excited as I've read so many horror stories over the last few weeks of things not working out that I've convinced myself the same will happen to me...and it might, but it might not...no one can tell at this point so I should just try and be happy and excited in this moment, right?

Congrats @onlyhereforthefood! I don’t think the worry stops to be honest. I’ve got my viability scan later today and I’m so nervous about it.

Ahhhhh @onlyhereforthefood this is amazing news!!!!!! Huge huge congratulations to you! Yes you are right- at this moment, everything you have been doing from down regs, stunning etc has built up to you being pregnant! And YOU ARE PREGNANT right now. Enjoy every moment!

@RichmondLady1981 wow all 3 fertilising is great news and some good chances there. I can't recall are you doing fresh or frozen transfer?
@MF1981 I've got my 7 week scan today also at the ivf clinic, gutted my partner can't be there but we're going to book a private scan in a couple of weeks

Good luck to you as well then @Kiza. Is it clinic policy that your partner can’t be there? My clinic allow partners for transfer and viability scan only at the moment due to covid.

@Kiza hope scan goes well. My partner wasn’t allowed in either which I was really sad about given I was also pretty much having a panic attack too! We got a private scan as a result which was well worth it.

12 week scan on on Monday - I’m still going crazy over these scans! Worried sick.

So had my viability scan and it’s twins!!!! I can’t quite believe it! They’re both measuring perfectly and we saw the little heartbeats. Now the panic sets in!

@Kiza it’s frozen cycle so praying we get something ‘normal’ to freeze. 3 days progress report tomorrow morning. We need to get to Monday!! Praying for one normal!

I've got my scan on the 16/3, which feels like a lifetime away! Nothing has really sunk in yet, although OH cannot wipe the big soppy grin off of his face

@MF1981 wowzer, bet that was a shock and a half! Amazing though.

My scan today was wonderful too, seeing the little heartbeat and umbilical cord made me sob! Have booked a private scan for Mother's Day so my partner can join.

@RichmondLady1981 really hope there is. As we only had the one egg collected we had no idea if it was normal or not, just had to throw some luck on it and hope for the best!

Congratulations @Kiza, just read back through your whole story. What a fabulous outcome against the odds. Good luck for the remainder of your pregnancy.

I agree @Galgal15.. I think @Kiza’s story is one of the most uplifting stories I have every read! Gives us all hope x

@Galgal15 @RichmondLady1981 thank you ladies, it definitely has been and it's one of those stories you hear from other people and cling on to it thinking 'there's no reason why that can't be us?!'
We're being very open with those around us about our IVF journey to try and spread awareness about infertility and IVF and super proud of our little eggsy who's pushed its way through the process and stuck on! 😄
