IVF Dec 2020-Jan 2021-anyone joining me?

Hi,
After 2 years TTC #1 we are now eventually on the IVF bus! Should have started in June but Covid put a stop to that and after lots of back/forth with our NHS clinic we've got our treatment planning appointment on Friday and will be on the long protocol so probably starting mid- end of December!
Would love to have some ladies join me!
I've been creeping on other IVF threads but haven't been able to fully take part.

@Kiza funnily enough I’ve felt some crampy twinges tonight too which I’ve not had since transfer day. What day past transfer are you now?

@MF1981 12dp2dt, OTD was Friday but we just couldn't hold out! I think I had some very light twinge/pulling yesterday but I was busy working so didn't notice it as much. Today it feels similar to AF cramping with the occasional tugging sensation which is odd but reassuring.
Is your OTD in about a week?
@starkid yours must be soon also? Sunday??

@Kiza - my blood test is Monday, I'm not testing beforehand though!

Have had some quite heavy spotting yesterday and this morning, along with slight cramp this morning and boobs no longer sore, so I seem to be gearing up for my period more than anything else😔😔

@starkid how many days post transfer are you? I’m 7dp5dt and have had crampy feelings last night and this morning and also some pink when wiping this morning. No sore boobs or anything else though. When is your otd?

@MF1981 I'm 10dp2dt, so does that mean we had egg collection the same day, Friday 22nd? Not sure what otd means, but I'm having my blood test Monday.

@starkid sorry otd is official test date. I had a frozen transfer so my egg collection was last year but it seems if you had a day 2 transfer that our embryos would be about the same development age now ie 12 days. I had an email from my clinic this morning so I replied and explained the cramps and pink discharge and they said it was quite common at this stage, to stay hydrated and to let them know if I get concerned in any way. How are your symptoms now?

@MF1981 - the spotting has cranked up to more of a day 1 of a period, darker/thicker blood, and i'm very spotty. So I'm feeling very hopeless that this is still implantation bleeding/cervix irritation from the Crinone gel, and much more likely that I'm not pregnant. To say I'm devastated is an understatement, and still will have to go to the blood test Monday to be told what I already know.

Oh I’m sorry to hear that @starkid. Can you not do a home pregnancy test and will the clinic not take that result rather than hauling you in for a blood test?

@starkid I'm so sorry to hear this, I agree with the others that I'd suggest a test and if it's negative then there's no point putting yourself through the upset of a blood test

Hi guys, there was lots of cramping and then more proper blood this morning, so I rang the clinic and they said to continue the crinone gel for now (that applicator is gonna be grim!) And if I'm sure and can't bear going for the blood test Monday I can do a pregnancy test. So I might do one tomorrow or Sunday to see if there's a slim chance. Thanks for all your nice comments xx

I’m starting to feel like this hasn’t worked for me. Aside from the light cramping yesterday and the day before and little hint of pink discharge yesterday morning, I haven’t felt any different. In fact I swear my boobs have actually got smaller!

@MF1981 I honestly don't have any, if I hadn't read about some of the tugging sensations I'd just think it's AF. Cramps are exactly like AF cramps and I have zero other symptoms too. There's still a good few days to go for you, do you think you'll test early or hold out for OTD?

@Kiza I think it’s my boobs seemingly being smaller that has freaked me out. But your story definitely gives me hope. Did you phone your clinic today with your result? I want to try and hold out till Wednesday to test because I’ve booked some time off work next week to give me time to deal with the result either way and I’m a bit scared to know the result to be honest. Honestly we can’t win when we’re trying to rationalise our emotions can we?!

Had my third scan this morning to check lining, it's only at 6.10mm so looking highly likely cycle will be cancelled. Really upset about it, also confused as on my last scan I was told it was at 8mm and to have this scan today to check all is still okay to transfer next Thursday. So not sure what's happened it must of broken down, but if my lining wasn't quite there the other day I don't know why they didn't up my dosage? Feels like 4 days have been wasted and now being told it's too late in my cycle to up any meds Sad

@MF1981 I know what you mean, I just tried to throw myself into work to distract myself and went for speed walks. I phoned on Wednesday and had to visit to pick up more cyclogest, have a 7 week scan booked for 26th Feb and also called my GP

@elsaesmeralda if they’re not looking to do your transfer until Thursday then you’ve got loads of time to get that lining up. Mine increased by almost 2mm in 2 days with no change to medication. I walked, did fertility yoga, legs up the wall, drank pomegranate juice, ate nuts and took vitamin e for those 2 days - no idea if any of it worked but worth a try?

@MF1981 I don't think they're going to transfer now at all. On my last scan I was told my lining was bang on 8mm but today it was 6.10 so it's either broken down or that measurement was wrong on the last scan, cause first of all she said it was 7 then changed her mind and said it was 8 so I've no idea what's happened. But I said to the nurse today can't you just up my meds instead of cancelling and she said it's too late in my cycle to do it now, so I'm pretty annoyed as why didn't they just up my meds a few days ago if it was looking like i wasn't responding

@MF1981 it really is! To do so well from egg collection and then to not respond at all to the meds this time it's just deflating. I'm hoping we can start straight away on the next one and not have to wait another month, not sure how it works on cancelled cycles
