Ladies!! I've missed you all!

@Mrbay this is bloody amazing news! So glad I've just got in before ET. This time tomorrow you'll be PUPO!

So after Guernsey doing very well at the old C word and being the only place in the UK with no cases for a while, we got thrown back into a really harsh lockdown at the end of Jan. Only allowed out of the house once a week to go to the shops, once a day to exercise and that was it. Nurseries closed and no possibility of getting a coffee (which is always the part which has hit me hardest....!) And 2 days later I started my new full time job. My mum has moved in with me again to look after Nancy, which was tough for the first week but is now actually pretty good. I don't quite know how I'll cope when I've got to get both of us dressed and out the house!!

Soo good to see the back passage girls back together again.

And @Ginandtonic31 let us know what the shop is! I always need more Etsy in my life!

@zest11 - it's hard, however she was a old girly but active until the end (still able to go out for an hour daily walk at a normal speed! At nearly 16 that is a fantastic achievement I think!) She didn't suffer for long and we all got to say bye as we wanted.

Last night I had my last few G&Ts, I feel that I one of the only people who has lost their intolerance to alcohol during lock down! 3 G&Ts and I was pretty drunk!! This weekend, is afternoon catch up with the neighbours so the days to ET have flown by, only a few hours and I'll know what the embryos have been upto since Thursday!

@KittyKatSmile - I think I am the only member who hasn't retired from the BPG!!
Oh no, that sounds really strict, are current lockdown isn't that tough, probably why our cases are so high! Coffee take away has been a treat for me too, I've found a local pub that does the most gorgeous latte that has a hint of hazelnut to the bean.
Love your mum! How is Nancy, is she starting to burble now?

Cauliflower82 · 28/02/2021 08:23

Good morning everyone 💕

@Mrbay transfer day!! I’ll be thinking of you and sending so many good vibes. After going through the transfer, me and hubby went out for a full on English breakfast - it was so yummy we still talk about it now. I’m feeling rather nostalgic now 😂 the old way of life. I even went down to London for the week with two friends after getting my bpf. We can’t do stuff like that now 😂😭

I am very much back to work too. My head told me to take more time off but it’s really done me the world of good being back. No children in her but I’ve just been sitting in my classroom teaching them online, only working three days a week and it feels just right. I’ve been lucky enough to have my first vaccine (is lucky the word?! 😂 I was really ill a few years back so I’m in the group 6 category) but I’m feeling lucky to have had it.

Pip is ONE next week! Today I’m prepping making a cake for him. I’ve come to the conclusion newborn babies aren’t for me as from ten months onwards I’ve just enjoyed every aspect of his existence. I just find the crawling and trying to walk stage SO much more fun and SO much easier but amongst friends I’m in the minority 🤷🏼‍♀️. I’m imagining most babies have had their first birthdays now.

I hope you’re all doing well and looking forward to the spring/summer ☺️

KittyKatSmile · 28/02/2021 09:30

@Cauliflower82 I hear you about 10months on. Nancy is so much fun now and she's so close to being able to walk. Newborns are sort of cute but they're exhausting and pretty dull so I'm with you.

I think she was the first one born so birthday season kicks off on Tuesday!! I can't believe it.

@Mrbay everything crossed for you today. And yes, Nancy has got a LOT to say! Her favourite 'words' are WOW and Pop (more the sound than her grandfather really but we don't tell him that!) She can also 'say' yum yum yum when she wants food.

Will be thinking of you and the embabies today xx

Transfer is all done - 1 transferred, 2 in the freezer and last 3 are being cultured until tomorrow to see what they do as they are early blasts 🤞
The one transferred and 2 in the freezer are top quality, I am so happy!!

@cauliflower82 - no decent take away breakfast opens so McDonalds it is!!
I cannot believe that he is one next week - happy birthday pip!!

KittyKatSmile · 28/02/2021 13:54

@Mrbay congratulations! That's such a great result! So happy for you xx

@KittyKatSmile - thank you!! another one made it to the freezer so I've got 4 left to transfer if needed

Welshpugmomma · 02/03/2021 14:07

@Mrbay that sounds wonderful! Go girl go get them ;)

@KittyKatSmile happy birthday little one hope you are having a lovely day , woop woop well done mum on smashing a year of parenting !

Just so bloody crazy how is gone by so fast! I have gone way overboard buying off Amazon for a little teaparty for 4 hahaha also I'm making a busy board for his birthday and have about 20 bits and pieces arriving for that too, posties gonna hate me ;)

@cauliflower82 sp nice to hear from you:) it's exciting them starting to do new things all the time isn't it :) we have very particular waving only to nanny. Enjoys a good clap and now started standing freestyle the balance is almost there ;) might be a couple more weeks before we get some steps but it's just madness!

Mrbay · 04/03/2021 17:07

Thank you!!

The 2WW is driving me crazy already and I am only 4dpt!

Oh I love a little tea party!

Zest11 · 04/03/2021 19:40

@Mrbay Arghh. I hope the tww speeds up for you. When is OTD? Do you think you will he able to wait until then? I think I managed 5/6dpt Hmm on both times!

@Cauliflower82 Lovely to hear from you and pleased to hear you are managing okay. Glad work has been helpful too. I hope little Pip has a lovely first birthday! I can't say I know what you mean about from 10 months on as we are not there yet. But I definitely found things easier from month 5. I don't know howww we coped with those constant night wake ups!

@welshpugmomma Aww you sound like you are really getting ready for his birthday. Definitely go to town with it all! I can't wait to see photos!!

@kittykatsmile That's so rubbish about not even being allowed to go for a coffee. Is there a road map out of yours or not yet? Are you enjoying your new job or is it tough?

We are still carrying on...each day feels like the same though! We have a little guy that keeps getting on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth so I guess crawling is just a few weeks away! I was hoping to be able to go PT with work but it looks like I will have to go FT (or quit!) which is quite upsetting. I will go back FT and see how it is. Hopefully the thought is worse than reality...

Ginandtonic31 · 06/03/2021 00:10

Hiiiii,

@Mrbay I was thinking about you on transfer day! And it's so amazing how well you did and got some to the freezer too. Good vibes for this round. I hope week one is passing by quickly. I must say, I'm also less tolerant of alcohol as I've had about 3 drinks this year and they were all in February. With no pub to go to I'm just not feeling the alcohol!

@Cauliflower82 I'm also loving this stage. We're almost walking (when she doesn't realise nobody is holding her), and words have come out of nowhere. Pop is also a favourite here whilst throwing balls out of the ball pit (that might by mummy's fault for teaching that one), daddy, mummum, bye-bye, ball, an attempt at teddy bear, banana (bana!), poo poo, baby, bot-bot (bottle) and play are her top words right now. And I don't know where they've come from! This time a month ago there was nothing, now she's full of words. So amazing how they develop.

@Welshpugmomma Hasn't it just flown by?! And how long we've all been chatting too. it's nuts. Those back passage days seem so long ago. Yet, just like they were last month. We're also having a party for 5 and I've even bought a little mini afternoon tea stand for G (for her party, not as a birthday present!). I've lost the plot.

@Zest11 can you flex your hours at all? I have gone back full time, but I'm working a 9-day fortnight so I work 50 mins extra every day and then get a day every other week off. With a fair bit of home working going on it's easy to do the extra hours. Although I'm so busy at the moment I'm working on my day off next week. The feeling of going back is definitely worse than the actually doing it. It's really not felt that bad (until today. Today has been a bad day).

My Etsy store... it's personalised gifts and keepsakes. I'm doing really well at the moment, with biggest sellers being mother's day ceramic ornaments, personalised 1st birthday bodysuits and personalised first easter bodysuits. Message me if you want the link as not sure I want the risk of busyers finding my IVF journey Grin

@KittyKatSmile I hope Nancy had a lovely birthday!

Mrbay · 06/03/2021 09:08

Morning!

Thank you for the well wishes, I'm now 6dp5dt, and so far I've not POAS but I am getting a bit desperate!
Getting lots of typical symptoms but that's probably the progesterone.

@zest11 - rubbish that you cannot reduce your hours, have they given you a decent reason?

@ginandtonic31 - ohhhh I'd love the link please as I'm going to surprise my friend with something as she surprised me with IVF themed cookies - she really is fab!

Mrbay · 07/03/2021 19:37

Evening all!

Positive news, I got a BF bloody clear P this morning!!!

KittyKatSmile · 07/03/2021 22:24

@Mrbay oh my bloody god!! Amazing! I've been thinking about you and trying not to obsess on your behalf!! Well done lady! God I'm so happy for you xx

Omg Mr Bay congratulations that is fabulous news to read today! So so happy for you xxxxx

Mrbay · 08/03/2021 06:56

Thank you!! I wasn't going to test early but I've just had a feeling from the start of this cycle. The day before my first scan I had a very vivid dream about the number 6, at that scan I had 6 follicles and ultimately I have 6 eggs fertilise - odd or coincidence I don't know?!

Just need to make it to the 6 week scan this time and then take each hurdle as it comes 😬

Zest11 · 08/03/2021 07:42

@Mrbay yayyyyyyy!! That is so exciting! So so happy for you! OMG enjoy this. This is just so amazing!

@Ginandtonic31 I will message you for your link! That's good that you have been able to flex your hours but not so good you have been crazy busy! I wish I could but my head is just being really really difficult and not flexible nor helpful in the slightest. Xx

Mrbay · 09/03/2021 13:25

Thank you @Zest11!

Ginandtonic31 · 09/03/2021 14:30

Ah @Mrbay amazing! I had a good feeling about this round for you!!!

@Zest11 I will check my messages when next on the computer (can't in the app). Just prepping for birthday tomorrow, working full time and fulfilling orders. I must be nuts!

Ginandtonic31 · 09/03/2021 14:31

@Zest11 that posted too soon. Can you appeal the decision? They have to have a good business reason to refuse it. And are you in a union? They will help you appeal it.

Zest11 · 11/03/2021 16:27

@Mrbay how are you getting on? I hope OTD is fast approaching! Have you been testing much? Wink

@Ginandtonic31 unfortunately it is regarded as a legitimate reason. I will just go back and see how it goes and then take it from there xx

Mrbay · 11/03/2021 16:33

thank you @Ginandtonic31 - to be fair I did too, at the start of this process I knew it would be cycle 3 for us.

@Zest11 - may or may not have had 6 FRER tests delivered today! I'm a little worried that it is a chemical but all my tests have been very dark and clear so I need to take comfort in that and just enjoy that I am pregnant!

KittyKatSmile · 11/03/2021 19:12

@Mrbay remember the Keith's BPG mantra!! "Today I am pregnant"

Have you got a date for your scan?

OP posts:
Zest11 · 11/03/2021 21:00

@mrbay It's not a chemical with dark lines! 6 FRERs though! GrinHmmGrin Completely echo @KittyKatSmiles mantra. Keep us updated! Keen to know when the scan is too! Xx

Mrbay · 12/03/2021 07:54

@KittyKatSmile - I keep saying that on repeat!! Trying to not get ahead of myself.
I'm going to call the clinic today to confirm that I am pregnant, OTD is Sunday so they may say call back on Monday but I am a little concerned that I'll run out of progesterone before they can get it delivered if I leave it until Monday. So I'll see what they say.

@Zest11 - I'm questioning myself if they are dark enough as I've not used them before so nothing to compare them to. On 7dp5dt, I sent the test picture to my mate who is a nurse and she came back with that is a very clear positive so I should perhaps listen to her professional opinion!
