Hi all

I recently had a mmc from my first IVF cycle and am waiting for AF to appear (probably 3-4 weeks away) so we can do FET. I think we'll probably go for a natural cycle but am waiting for some information from my clinic to make a final decision. Had follow up consultation yesterday and will be having nurse consultation in the next couple of weeks hopefully. If anyone is happy to share their FET experiences I'd love to hear them. A little worried that a natural cycle might be the wrong choice. Anyway, if anyone fancies joining me for some support then join the thread.

Im so sorry @Christabelle89, life can be cruel. Definitely ask your gp about being referred for further tests, they should be able to after three losses. I did a natural FET and am on progesterone until week 14, halving the dose from week 12. I think my clinic are extra cautious though!

@Russkispy, great news that the tests were all clear and you can move forward with your next cycle. I also liked my natural cycle.

Glad you're doing ok @sometimesalways. Processing emotions takes time, doesn't mean you can't start another cycle though if you feel ready. Starting a new cycle was the best thing fur me, helped me feel like I was moving forward. I hope the opks give you some idea of timings.

Thank you @Marmite83
Have you reached 12 weeks now? I keep everything crossed for you for that milestone 🤞🤞🤞

Marmite83 · 05/01/2020 11:01

12 weeks tomorrow @sometimesalways but my scan isn't until I'm 13+1 which is a bit annoying but can't be helped. I'll let you all know how it goes

my cycle was a FRESH cycle and I was told to take progesterone until week 12 but just took them until week 14 as there is one saying I’ve always been told... “you carnt do any harm in keep taking them however you can do harm stopping them too early” I know which I choose... good luck everyone ⭐️

ginandtonicformeplease · 05/01/2020 16:21

@sometimesalways Make sure you take as much time as you need before you start another cycle - after my first MMC I leapt straight into another cycle, and I really wasn't ready emotionally. Yes, you probably will be terrified next time you get a BFP: at the 7 week scan this time (I've had two miscarriages now) DH and I were both pretty detached - the nurse said that that's normal, and people with a history of miscarriage often feel terrified right until there's a baby in their arms!

@Marmite83 I haven't even had my booking in appt yet - I'm 10w4d today. I've had another scan to make sure everything's ok though Smile. I've got my booking in appt on Friday, but then I'm away with work for two weeks so God knows how I'll manage to get my NHS scan done.

LillyLeaf · 05/01/2020 16:34

I managed to get my NHS 12wk scan at 12+5, they had originally booked it for nearly 16wks as they don't seem to have a clue about IVF dates, surely I'm not the first IVF person in North London! I have my NIPT scan and blood test tomorrow, I'm totally freaking out. I'm always detached at scans, I must come across not bothered but I'm literally holding my breath the whole time.

Roobles79 · 05/01/2020 18:32

How are you feeling @ginandtonicformeplease? Are you still getting nausea? Are you still on the progesterone? I have my first scan Wednesday and only have enough cyclogest til then so I'm hoping they give me more x

ginandtonicformeplease · 05/01/2020 18:53

@Roobles79 I'm exhausted and nauseous a lot of the time. Bread is the only thing that seems to ease the nausea, so of course I've already put a few pounds on from eating too much of that! It seems to be worse in the evening than the morning though. I've been working from home for the last two weeks but back to the office tomorrow and I'm dreading it Sad

I have to take cyclogest until 12 weeks - I should have enough but I really need to double check all my meds. I'm on steroids so those have to be weaned off rather than just stop cold turkey.

Betsyboo87 · 05/01/2020 19:55

Another one with scan anxiety. Each time I’ve woken up with total dread and I’ve sat in the waiting room (they’re always running late) with my stomach turning. After having quite a few reassurance scans I’m actually glad I don’t have to face another one until 20w.

@LillyLeaf I found the nipt one the most reassuring. They were scanning for 40mins, measured absolutely everything and pointed out all the different organs. We didn’t realise we could find out the sex with the blood test so had to make a quick decision. We’re having a little boy.

LillyLeaf · 05/01/2020 20:08

@Betsyboo87 oh a boy, congratulations. We'll be finding out the sex too (if everything is still positive tomorrow). How long did you wait for your blood results?

Betsyboo87 · 05/01/2020 21:10

@LillyLeaf they told us to expect it to take a week but I got the call two days later! We’re not in the UK though so it may vary.

Russkispy · 07/01/2020 14:59

@LillyLeaf how did NIPT go? When do you get results?

@Roobles79 good luck for scan tomorrow 🤞🏻

LillyLeaf · 07/01/2020 15:08

The scan was all good. I should get the NIPT in about a week. Hopefully Monday but could be earlier.

Russkispy · 07/01/2020 15:18

That's great @LillyLeaf 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for results

Betsyboo87 · 07/01/2020 15:40

@LillyLeaf fab news. That must be such a relief.

Roobles79 · 07/01/2020 17:56

Great news @lillyleaf

Roobles79 · 07/01/2020 17:58

@russkispy thank you so much. XX

Marmite83 · 07/01/2020 20:32

Great news @LillyLeaf, I've got everything crossed for good results

Scan went OK, saw a heartbeat and measuring at 8weeks 5days today, 9 weeks pregnant. The consultant said they will stop the cyclogest now, I only have four left 🤞it's all OK when I stop them. I've rung the doctors and waiting for a call back from the midwife for a booking in appt XX

Roobles79 · 08/01/2020 17:11

@ginandtonicformeplease how has it been this week going in to work? X

ginandtonicformeplease · 08/01/2020 18:54

@Roobles79 Glad the scan has all gone ok. Work was pretty tough on Monday and Tuesday as I'm missing my lunchtime nap and toast on tap, but last night I crashed out at 9 and slept all the way through so I was feeling ok....until the sickness reared its ugly head Sad

Roobles79 · 08/01/2020 20:27

Oh no @ginandtonicformeplease it certainly is tough getting through a work day, I have a constant supply of dry crackers on my desk and I'm sure people have noticed. When I get up I am covered in crumbs and the inside of the car is covered 😆x

Marmite83 · 09/01/2020 12:10

We're about to hit 1000 posts!

Great news about the scan @Roobles79.

@ginandtonicformeplease work has been a real struggle for me too. I've been feeling so rough lately that I'm struggling to get anything done. Feeling a little better this week though so hopefully the nausea is going to ease off soon. I'm 12+3 today and it lasted until about 16 weeks with my dd but eased off gradually from about 13 weeks I think.

I'm weaning off my Crinone now, down to one a day until 14 weeks when I stop completely. I'm a bit nervous about stopping it but hopefully all will be ok. Just want it to be next Tuesday already so I can have my nhs scan to check if everything is ok (not looking forward to the full bladder though Blush). My tummy still doesn't feel or look particularly pregnant (just a bit flabby still) so I'm really hoping everything is ok in there!

Hope everyone else is doing ok
