Hi all

I recently had a mmc from my first IVF cycle and am waiting for AF to appear (probably 3-4 weeks away) so we can do FET. I think we'll probably go for a natural cycle but am waiting for some information from my clinic to make a final decision. Had follow up consultation yesterday and will be having nurse consultation in the next couple of weeks hopefully. If anyone is happy to share their FET experiences I'd love to hear them. A little worried that a natural cycle might be the wrong choice. Anyway, if anyone fancies joining me for some support then join the thread.

@Russkispy hope you get good results 🤞🏻
I'm struggling with hg and have been on a drip this week as I got so dehydrated. Fed up to be honest! As thankful as I am to be pregnant, it's very hard mentally to be so unwell and isolated Sad. Sorry moan over!

Russkispy · 16/12/2019 08:23

@Marmite83 it was under GA so i had a nice nap haha let us know how the scan went

@justtheonethen sorry you're feeling up and down but hopefully it eases off for you soon. And you can moan about it as much as you can. We're here to support each other

justtheonethen · 16/12/2019 08:42

@Russkispy thank you, that's very kind. I'm mindful that others would give anything to be pregnant so it seems insensitive to complain about pregnancy symptoms.

LillyLeaf · 16/12/2019 12:26

I'm been really busy just trying to get through this last week before some much deserved time off over Christmas. I had another scan last Friday which was all good and I'll have another one on Thursday. Feel nervous as I've never got this far before, feels like I'm climbing a mountain. Hope everyone is doing ok.

Marmite83 · 16/12/2019 16:10

Fantastic news that your scan went well @LillyLeaf.

I feel for you @justtheonethen, I don't have hg but the nausea is still kicking my butt. I'm very glad for the symptoms but doesn't mean I enjoy feeling sick 24/7

My scan today went well. Heartbeat still going strong and sac looks normal. Measuring at 9 weeks which is spot on. Feeling very relieved.

Hurrah for good scans StarStar

Betsyboo87 · 16/12/2019 18:31

@Marmite83 @LillyLeaf lovely news about the scans. Hopefully you can relax a bit more with each one.

@justtheonethen I hope your hg starts to ease soon. 11 weeks was a turning point for me. I’m also guilty of complaining and then feeling so bad as this is all I’ve wanted for so long.

@Russkispy fingers crossed for you that your results are good

12+4 and finally starting to believe it. The anxiety does still creep up though and we haven’t told anyone for fear of jinxing it.

Roobles79 · 16/12/2019 20:58

@russkispy good luck for results and hope you are giving yourself lots of tlc. Afm OK here, been feeling very tired and can't wait for Xmas break. Also getting weird cramps and constipation!

Have first scan booked 8th Jan. I hope it's all OK in there. Might do another test in the morning to check I didn't dream it!

@lillyleaf fab news re scans 👏 and @marmite83 too. XX

Roobles79 · 16/12/2019 21:00

@justtheonethen oh no sorry to hear you have got HG, moan as much as you want! Hope you get a bit of respite soon x

ginandtonicformeplease · 16/12/2019 22:19

@Marmite83 @LillyLeaf Congratulations on your scans, it all sounds positive.

@Roobles79 How far along will you be for your scan? January sounds ages but it really is pretty close!

@justtheonethen Hope you're feeling better soon.

@Russkispy When do you get the results?

As for me, I had a bit of spotting on Friday morning....cue me ringing the clinic up in a panic convinced it's a third miscarriage. The nurse was lovely and reassuring, saying it's completely normal. I can't wait until next week to check everything's ok though so I've booked in for a scan after work tomorrow. I'm really dreading it, especially as DH can't come.

justtheonethen · 16/12/2019 22:31

@ginandtonicformeplease I hope everything is ok. If it helps I have had everything from spotting to heavy gushing bleeding with big clots and all was fine after.

Roobles79 · 17/12/2019 06:54

@ginandtonicformeplease around 8 weeks xx

Russkispy · 17/12/2019 08:03

@Marmite83 and @LillyLeaf good news about the scans! Great relief , I'm sure!

@justtheonethen don't mind your moans as long as you're ok!

@ginandtonicformeplease hope the scan goes ok tomorrow. Thinking of you

Should be receiving my results this week and final ones just after Christmas 🤞🏻

sometimesalways · 17/12/2019 08:47

@Russkispy fingers crossed for your tests. And great they cleared out those polyps, you never know, they might have been the reason why!

Amazing news for the scans and progressing pregnancies that I am reading. You are giving me hope that it's all still possible.

Afm I started bleeding on Saturday and got scanned again and got tests done and the Dr at the hospital feels it's now probably more likely to be miscarriage as there's no sign of ectopic and I am almost 11 weeks now. Also something that looks like a sac in the uterus. Just a very stubborn miscarriage which doesn't seem to go away. They felt optimistic that the bleed will help clear things now so due to retest hCG next week and hopefully it will have dropped.

So at least i think I will be travelling on Thursday. It's not entirely risk free but much much lower risk now so hopefully ok. And I am going to a place with great hospitals, in case (hope not!) it's ever needed. At least that's something...

So roll on 2020 I say!

sometimesalways · 17/12/2019 08:50

Oh and @justtheonethen this is absolutely the right place to moan! Moan away

I am of the opinion that once you get bfp, ivf or not, it's best to treat the pregnancy as just any other, if you can. You have the right to feel 'normal' and we are all only human. You have to allow yourself to vent and moan - can't be healthy to keep it all in just because it's ivf!

Betsyboo87 · 17/12/2019 09:22

@sometimesalways I’m sorry this has dragged out so much for you but great news that you will now be able to travel. I’m sure it’s a much needed break.

@ginandtonicformeplease fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow. I had a lot of spotting for weeks and I know how worrying it can be. The Drs never seemed that bothered by it so I think it’s more common that we know.

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 17/12/2019 15:06

After long discussion with clinic today I've signed up to a 3 cycle package of natural
Modified IVF - clinic said no point pushing full stims again as whilst produce good numbers of eggs they aren't great quality so going to try a lower dose more natural cycle with the aim of getting 1-2 blasts (I've only got 2 blasts on the first two cycles anyway)
Will be doing back to back cycles from January so won't transfer before March at the earliest x

ginandtonicformeplease · 17/12/2019 21:20

I had my scan this evening and all is fine - saw its heart beating and it's grown to the right size. I'm wondering if my reaction to every little worry will be to race off for a scan Grin

While I've been feeling a bit queasy off and on for the last couple of weeks, this morning at work it turned to full on morning sickness. I'm also absolutely knackered, and already in bed.

Christabelle89 · 17/12/2019 23:28

Just caught up again and oh my gosh so much brilliant news 😁 so many happy scans. Little update on me, I went on to get a BFP on test day and I'm now 6w3d. I have my first scan on Thursday and I'm so unbelievable nervous but seeing all of your great news gives me hope ❤️ as for symptoms I've had such bad sickness 🙈 struggling to keep anything but plain mash or sips of water down. I'm trying to take it as a reassuring sign though 😂👍

Betsyboo87 · 18/12/2019 07:09

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted sounds like a good plan. Hopefully you can relax over Christmas now you know how you’re proceeding.

@ginandtonicformeplease great news. I spent a fair bit on scans as reassurance but it was what I needed so go for it if it helps you relax.

@Christabelle89 congratulations! Sickness is a good sign but I know it’s so draining. Fingers crossed for Thursday. I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Russkispy · 18/12/2019 08:05

@ginandtonicformeplease glad the scan went well but sorry about morning sickness!hang in there!

@Christabelle89 congratulations on BFP! And good luck for your first scan. Hope it goes well!

Roobles79 · 18/12/2019 08:59

@christabelle89 congrats! Good luck for your scan. I'm also feeling queasy and can't stomach much apart from plain pasta and cheese and fizzy drinks. No sickness yet though. How did u calculate how far along you are? x

Christabelle89 · 18/12/2019 14:46

@Betsyboo87 @Russkispy thank you ladies 😁 @Roobles79 I used the IVF due date calculator 👍 it's on Google and you just put your egg collection date on there and it calculates it for you. My egg collection was the 16th November and it calculated that if its a singleton then my due date will be 8th August. I'll be double checking when I go to my clinic tomorrow though 🙂 everyone keeps recommending me ginger biscuits for my sickness but I hate ginger 😂

shazzz1xx · 18/12/2019 15:09

I did icsi last year 2 full cycles the first MC at 10weeks but the second cycle was susscessfull and my baby girl is 20 weeks old.. let me just say the morning sickness started at 6 weeks and I had it all day everyday until the day I gave birth at 40.2week... it was hell but definitely a good sign and it wasn’t just nauseous it was full on throwing up all day lol good luck ladies x

shazzz1xx · 18/12/2019 15:10

oh and nothing works.. ginger biscuits, dry toast extra ... NOTHING lol x
