Hi peeps :)

I’ll hyperlink this to our old thread so we can continue bitching about crystal82 😂

I can’t believe we’ve almost got to 1000 posts. I didn’t even know that was a thing - thank you @kittykatsmile because I had no idea it would just max out and I can NOT go on without you all. That’s not even an option.

@welshpugmomma hahahaa that is hilarious!!! And what lovely views too :)

AliciaWhiskers · 05/07/2019 16:20

Warning* prepare for way TMI!

So, for those of you who suggested I might be constipated...turns out you are right.

I completed on a house purchase today, and just picked up my keys. Some people might christen a house by having sex in all the rooms. Or making a first cup of tea. Not me. I celebrated my house move by having the world’s biggest poo in my new bathroom 😂

I do feel soooooooo much better now though 😂

RRoonilWazlib · 05/07/2019 18:36

I honestly thought I would breeze through the 2ww but oh my goodness, I'm symptom spotting and googling like a mad woman!!

Ginandtonic31 · 05/07/2019 18:51

@AliciaWhiskers that's hilarious. I thought it would be constipation. After my first round I felt fine the next day then the day after that I felt in so much pain all up my stomach. Once I took laxatives and had a poo (or 10) I felt so much better!

@KittyKatSmile no they only want you back if it's less than 75. Which worries me as my line was fainter this morning so it could still be dropping! I think because it's nhs they ether do none or one. Maybe I should get a private blood test? Or just wait for my scan in 2 weeks.

@CornishMaid1 so sorry I missed congratulating you!! I'm hoping we are at a similar point! How many days post transfer are you today?

@Zest11 it was because I was struggling during the cycle and contacted them for a counselling appointment. My nurse called me at the time to check I was okay and booked me with a counsellor. I had a session and talked about my anxieties etc. I think given my anxieties they were surprised I went ahead. I think now the nurse is just being cautious as she knows I've struggled with the cycle. I will definitely make an appointment though as the counsellor told me it's fine to come to her if it works and just say 'shit, what now?!'.

I've felt in shell shock all day, worrying I will have to be on maternity leave and away from work for so long, etc. It's taking some time to get used to but feeling a bit better now I'm home. I think I'm in denial though. And when I start to overthink it I panic!

KittyKatSmile · 05/07/2019 19:02

@Ginandtonic31 I had to go back to check levels were doubling. To be honest it was just something else for me to worry about so I'd just stick with your clinic's advice unless you particularly want to find out. I smiled thinking that you are freaking out about maternity leave (in a nice way); I can't wait to go and not come back! Hope you're feeling ok though lovely lady. Keep taking care of yourself x

@AliciaWhiskers loving the pooh chat. Generally fits in with Back Passage Girls chat. I've had to ask my best friend today if we can share pessaries (bloody clinic and prescriptions). Her reply 'this is the first time I've ever shared drugs that go in the back door'. Love that girl. Congrats on the house too!

@RRoonilWazlib when is OTD? Step away from the Google!

@Welshpugmomma I'm sure Dr Google (probably sponsored by Crystal82) has told you this but period pains can be the same as 'I'm pregnant' pains. Sadly only time will solve that one for. In the meantime; amazing garden!!

Mrbay · 05/07/2019 19:13

@KittyKatSmile and @AliciaWhiskers - yeah I've been getting no where near that, wish I saw this earlier as we have a health supplement manufacturer on the business park. I'll head to a Supermarket on my way home tonight.

@Welshpugmomma - do you have an out of hours number for your clinic, perhaps call them in you are worried.

@KittyKatSmile - you are the fountain of all knowledge - I am curious to know what you do.

@AliciaWhiskers - congrats on your adulting today and your massive poo. Poo chat is just the sign of things to come, apparently mum's like to chat about their kids poo.

Zest11 · 05/07/2019 19:20

@RRoonilWazlib I know what you mean! I googled today: (TMI) does progesterone gel make your vagina dry?!! Haaa! Unfortunately I couldn't find an answer.

@Ginandtonic31 that's great that they can give you support! But seriously...worrying about time off work?? I would bloody love it! Grin

@KittyKatSmile how far along is your friend in the process? Has she started downregging/stimming? Funny that you are sharing drugs!

@AliciaWhiskers well done on the house, you are busy!! Glad you are feeling more comfortable too!

Feeling a bit better now I guess. I had a nap this afternoon (how I deal with anxiety/depression) To be honest, the thought of when/what if/another round etc is just so draining and I would LOVE to carry on this journey with you amazing girls. OTD is not until Friday but I will probably test earlier in the week as I find it easier knowing (sorry KittyKat!) and my body is desperate to go back to the gym.

Ginandtonic31 · 05/07/2019 19:29

Oh I asked the nurse about exercise today and she said it's fine, it won't fall out. So back on the bike tomorrow.

@Zest11 I sleep too to deal with anxiety etc. And part of my anxiety is 'missing out' at work or my colleague progressing further than me whilst I'm off, or if they get cover and they're better than me etc

KittyKatSmile · 05/07/2019 19:47

@Mrbay I'm an accountant (for a fund manager so making rich people richer; very satisfying) and occasional comedian. Obviously the two go hand in hand

@Zest11 my friend started stimming a few days ago. I've recruited her to the Back Passage Girls but I've been quite clear that she can only be a backing singer because you're my main gurrrrrls. We want you with us as well. But I sort of think there's a way of us sticking together somehow x

Mrbay · 05/07/2019 20:06

@KittyKatSmile - does that mean you can help me turn my last tenner into a million?! 😉

@Zest11 - we've shared way too much not to continue chatting.

Anyone else really tired whilst stimming?

Zest11 · 05/07/2019 20:33

@KittyKatSmile hahaha! I'll join her as a back up singer...The progesterone I'm on is a front passage only kinda thing! Although to be honest I'm not sure how I'd feel essentially putting a tampon in my bum?! Grin

@Mrbay I felt tired but I always am. I also forgot to reply to your previous point about thinking ovulation had already happened. I stopped getting the (very mild) twinges maybe 3 days before EC and I got quite a bit less EWCM but I hadn't ovulated. As long as you are on the drugs you won't.

KittyKatSmile · 05/07/2019 22:20

@Mrbay yes. To the tiredness question, rather than the money one :-)

And the pessaries are somewhat smaller than a tampon. So it really is lots of Back Passage fun (woah. My phone just knew to capitalise that phrase!)

Mrbay · 05/07/2019 22:57

@KittyKatSmile - that's a shame, I was hoping for some tips!

Thanks for confirming that it's not just me with the tiredness.

I've also noticed that my short term memory has up and left. The owner of the company asked me for something, not 10 seconds later did I forgot and start doing something else. Embarrassingly, he shouted for me whilst I was mid wee!

RRoonilWazlib · 06/07/2019 06:58

Does anyone admit to testing early??

@Zest11 if you're anything like me, you scroll past all the usual symptoms and search for the random, weird ones you think you have Grin

AliciaWhiskers · 06/07/2019 09:52

Just had a call from the embryologist. ET on Monday. So terrified something will happen to them over the weekend Confused

KittyKatSmile · 06/07/2019 09:55

@AliciaWhiskers will they be day 5 on Monday? Nothing can really happen to them tomorrow as bizarrely day 4 is a nothing day (hence you only get day 2,3 or 5 transfers). If they thought anything would happen to them they would have transferred today.

Hope that helps. Maybe have a glass of vino in the sun today x

AliciaWhiskers · 06/07/2019 10:00

Yes they will be day 5 on Monday. I did specifically ask if they thought they should transfer today, and they said no.

AliciaWhiskers · 06/07/2019 13:55

Another random question from me. Sex between egg collection and embryo transfer - yes or no?

KittyKatSmile · 06/07/2019 14:18

@AliciaWhiskers I think possibly not because of risk of infection but you had antibiotics didn't you so crack on.

CornishMaid1 · 06/07/2019 16:50

Thank you everyone.

@AliciaWhiskers My clinic said no but then mine was a no sex until after test day.

@Welshpugmomma The wait is hard. I did test earlier and took my first one at 8dp5dt and got a positive. From Google, some get a little earlier, but 8 is quite early.

It really depends on how you would cope and which would stress you out more. I was glad i tested early but then had top keep testing to make sure the line stayed!

@Ginandtonic31 We must be similar. I'm 14dp5dt today and we'll be 5 weeks on Monday. How many days are you now?

The 2ww felt really long but I think the next 2 weeks we'll be long as I'm trying not top get too excited until I get a scan to make sure everything is okay.

Ginandtonic31 · 06/07/2019 17:31

@CornishMaid1 I'm a few days behind you. I'm 10dp5dt today. Not 5 weeks until Friday. Scan is 22 July.

Cauliflower82 · 07/07/2019 09:20

Good morning everyone, happy Sunday. I hope everyone had a good day yesterday :).

@AliciaWhiskers best of luck for tomorrow. Are you still feeling tonnes better after you christened your new home? Congratulations on that too - you are busy! Super busy.

@Mrbay I’d read somewhere prior to doing ivf that the drugs can cause insomnia in some people, but, like yourself, I just found myself so tired all of the time and I had some of the best sleeps of my life. Are you due egg collection soon?

@Zest11 hope you’re getting on well. Are you feeling okay about work tomorrow? I’m a bit worried myself tbh and I wonder if that’s why I’ve been feeling a little irritable recently.

I’ve not too much to report on my front tbh. I’m not symptom checking because my husband is totally doing that for me - “wow, you want popcorn and a chicken burger... not like you, it must be Pip.”
I pray to God every night that it is Pip and he’s clinging on so desperately 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hey girls!

Good luck for tomorrow @AliciaWhiskers.

I've upped my protein so let's see what it's done but at least I know for next time.

@califlower82 - I'm tired but can't sleep at the same time, such an annoying mix! I've got a scan tomorrow to see how my eggs are doing and then will see if they will take me forward to EC.

In other news, we are getting a puppy! Our other dog is pretty sad about losing her best mate/sister (as are we) so we decided to get her a friend.

If I don't get a positive outcome this cycle, I'm going to take a break, join the gym and lose 2 stone, sick of being a chunk!

mouse1234567 · 07/07/2019 09:29

@Welshpugmomma it’s so hard to wait and I didn’t practise what i am now preaching but hold out as long as you can. The other issue with testing early is if it is a positive you then have a very long wait till the viability scan which will feel very hard. And I guess if it’s negative you never really believe it till OTD. Next time I’m going to try and hold out as long as pos. so so hard tho.
