Hi peeps :)

I’ll hyperlink this to our old thread so we can continue bitching about crystal82 😂

I can’t believe we’ve almost got to 1000 posts. I didn’t even know that was a thing - thank you @kittykatsmile because I had no idea it would just max out and I can NOT go on without you all. That’s not even an option.

@Mrbay I'm 1dp5dt and its dragging already. Trying not to symptom spot but it's so hard not to!

Ginandtonic31 · 02/07/2019 19:04

@RRoonilWazlib I'm 6dp5dt and it really does drag! And I've not had one symptom!

Tonight I've got Koppaberg and white wine to try. I will update you.

Zest11 · 02/07/2019 19:12

@KittyKatSmile and @Ginandtonic31 I'm actually jealous of you both and your puzzles! I have a puzzlebook I'd love to do but I've committed to reading 9 Perfect Strangers and I think you both said it wasn't great. I should have listened! Not really keen on the direction it's taken but I can't quit!

Zest11 · 02/07/2019 19:23

@Cauliflower82 sorry forgot to reply. Not talking to Lemon yet but I keep saying to my uterus lining "come on, you can do it! The eggs have been great, the sperm's been great and so have the clinic. It's just down to you now...no pressure! HmmGrin And then when I feel guilty I feed it (drink) some pomegranate juice to reward it! Dear god, I'm going insane!!

RRoonilWazlib · 02/07/2019 19:24

I've started a good book and I've got another lined up for afterwards. I work part time so I'm trying to fill my days off with stuff so I'm busy and not sat around thinking!!!

Zest11 · 02/07/2019 19:25

And sorry @glitterbugsparkles thank you for your words of comfort. Sunday isn't too far away now although I imagine it feels like a lifetime. Do you have to go in for a blood test or do it at home?

Zest11 · 02/07/2019 19:27

@RRoonilWazlib what have you started reading? I have a few to read but have 6 weeks off soon so any suggestions would be gratefully received. Are you all members of your library where you can "check out" books on apps? I only discovered that about a year ago and it's bloody great!

mouse1234567 · 02/07/2019 20:00

@RRoonilWazlib the tww is tough. My best advice is keep busy busy. I went out most nights with friends that made me happy. And that’s what I will do again next time.

Ginandtonic31 · 02/07/2019 20:17

@Zest11 I'm starting to wish o could have taken some time off work and just do puzzles in bed! Yes I really wasn't keen on 9 Perfect Strangers but like you I can't quit! I'm currently reading No Further Questions. It seems quite good. I am a member of my library but I owe fines from 5 years ago so haven't been back since HmmI tried to log on online to look at the ebooks but it didn't work. Maybe I will brave it and go in and ask about ebooks and pay my fine.

glitterbugsparkles · 02/07/2019 20:20

I'm addicted to tv drama and crap. If anyone's seen it 90 day fiancé and all it's off shoot programs is awesome tv trash. It's getting me through the evenings (my husband works away during the week so always home alone) maybe a book or puzzles might be a better option. Or some colouring...

glitterbugsparkles · 02/07/2019 20:21

@Ginandtonic31 I'm sure your library fines won't be too bad. Though prob not a bad idea to get it over and done with. You wouldn't want to be barred from entering with your baby to book readings and the like!

RRoonilWazlib · 02/07/2019 20:23

@Zest11 I'm reading Saturday Requiem by Nicci French, really enjoying it!

@mouse1234567 evenings are ok for me, it's first thing in the morning and during the day! I have work tomorrow and friday, I'm going out with my mum on Thursday. Dreading the weekend as my husband will be working and I have no plans Sad

There is a summer fayre at the local hospital on Saturday so I may waste a couple of hours there!

KittyKatSmile · 02/07/2019 20:36

@Cauliflower82 Keith says you can use dry shampoo, yes, but you could also have a shower as otherwise you're going to start really ponging soon and Pip won't like that....

@Ginandtonic31 that's the reason we're meant to be buying Take a Break in the first place!! I can't bring myself to read the stories. Until I can't sleep, usually around 2am (thank you steroids. Also for the 4month pregnant look and the hairy face, I'm really enjoying them all).

@glitterbugsparkles I'm def going to look up that rubbish. Thanks for the recommendation.

Books: I've just finished Normal People by Sally Rooney (loved it) and was going to start the Librarian of Auschwitz but maybe not. Am going to download the Prison Doctor one that someone recommended.

Hang on in there tww'rs. I'm going to Pride in London on Saturday if anyone wants to join for the distraction?! What on earth could go wrong? (Oh my god, Keith is now totally turning into a hairy 63 year old gay man. Or 'Bear' to use the correct parlance...)

mouse1234567 · 02/07/2019 20:41

@RRoonilWazlib sounds like you are making good plans for distraction. Yes I found mornings hard as the time I had to resist test (didn’t do well there! ) I intend to not have any in flat next time!

RRoonilWazlib · 03/07/2019 05:48

@mouse1234567 I've made the mistake of ordering some online Shock I'm going to stash them away in my bedroom though until next week!!

Cauliflower82 · 03/07/2019 08:30

@KittyKatSmile as always, one will follow Keith’s advice and shower 😂.

@glitterbugsparkles a good colour sounds good 😌 I do like a therapeutic colouring book.

@Zest11 we’re all a bit insane 😜 I think we have to be. I always think someone’s level of insanity makes them particularly interesting. So, am I 2dp5dt or 1dp5dt? I forgot to say earlier too that I’m off all week and back to work on Monday. Me and Pip don’t have many plans today, other than to get up and make our poached eggs with smoked salmon. Get me 😂! One egg for Pip, one egg for me.

I’m waiting for a call from the clinic today to see if anymore of our embryos made it to freezing 🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏🤞. We feel very lucky that we had three to put in the freezer yesterday.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Anyone struggling with the pollen?

Quick question - were you given antibiotics to take after egg collection? They have given me a 5 day course of antibiotics- is this normal?

Cauliflower82 · 03/07/2019 08:46

@aliciawhiskers no antibiotics for me, but I’m pretty sure I’ve heard of clinics where this is commonplace.

AliciaWhiskers · 03/07/2019 09:17

Thanks @Cauliflower82. Just sitting waiting for EC. The doctor came in and (unhelpfully) pointed out that my last scan showed I had very few follicles. Great. Thanks for that.

Zest11 · 03/07/2019 09:30

@Ginandtonic31 Arghh don't worry about the fines although I understand...I was the same. Only, I was so scared to go back I rejoined but under my married name! Blush Grin No idea how much the fines are but it's funny how they make us so scared!! To be honest it is lovely having this time off but I wonder if being distracted is better!

@glitterbugsparkles that sounds like great trash TV, thank you!

@Cauliflower82 I think you are 1dp5dt. How were your poached eggs? Do you reckon we can have a nice sunbathe in the garden today? And yes...craziness gives us personality! GrinAnd OMG twinny, it gets weirder! We were told we got 3 for the freezer on ET day too! Shock Shock Also got a call yesterday saying they put 1 more in which I was obviously very happy with. I'm actually angry at my enemy anxiety/Dr Google/crystal82 and her gazillion eggs as I really worried unneccessarily about lack of numbers etc. I think they found just 11 follicles by my last scan.

@AliciaWhiskers I didn't have antiobiotics either but I also think I'm one of the view people on this thread to have had a GA...others seem to have just been sedated. I wouldn't worry, clinics have their own way of doing things.

Thank you all for the book recommendations, I shall add them all onto my list. I am onto one called The Neighbour by Fiona Cummins now I forced myself to finish the last.

Zest11 · 03/07/2019 09:41

@AliciaWhiskers sorry I think our last posts crossed. Good luck today. I hope it all goes well. The doctor does not sound particularly helpful but @Weenumpty is pregant after having just a few eggs collected and a 2dt! From what I remember there was nothing for the freezer so it does just take 1!

Cauliflower82 · 03/07/2019 09:48

@zest11 yay, you’ve got four in the freezer now!! Well done. That’s an absolutely amazing result. I’m still waiting for the call but I’ve resigned myself to be more than happy with the three so any extra will just be that added bonus. It does just go to show that it’s all about quality and not quantity - at transfer, us twinnies has exactly the same yet I did have over 30 eggs collected. Crazy, isn’t it. Only 22 of those were mature but it really is all just about the quality. Eggs were good, but I’m not really mastering getting that runny centre, but apparently Pip prefers them that way (see, equally crazy 😂).
I’m worried about going outside as I’m reluctant to take anything for my hayfever and it’s so bad atm. I would love to walk for miles with my dog today - I’m so in the mood. I’m sneezing so much just being inside, I’m worried it’s affecting Pip. How are you doing with your protein intake? I’m totally back on it now - loving the pineapple juice too.

Ginandtonic31 · 03/07/2019 09:58

@Zest11 well I actually didn't want to admit I had also done the same re the rejoining in my married name 😂and then I got fines on that one too. You know what, I will go this weekend and sort it. I always have such good intentions of getting books back on time and things! It gives me somewhere to cycle to I suppose though! Haven't dated cycle again since the weekend!

Woke up today with a sore throat. Great.

KittyKatSmile · 03/07/2019 10:12

God all of you crystals boasting about having a spare name to run up fines on!!!

@Cauliflower82 no more smoked salmon after today! You can now act as if you're pregnant (and the day after ET is 1dp5dt. So confusing!)

@Zest11 such a good outcome and almost exactly the same as mine. Well done you!

So my 3am musing today was on how we can all keep in touch as we are pretty much down to our last 2 weeks here aren't we?! If you get an instagram request (is that a thing?) from a chap named Keith then there's really nothing to worry about Grin

Happy sunbathing to Pip and Lemon x

Ginandtonic31 · 03/07/2019 10:19

@KittyKatSmile I need another name to get a new membership! I'm going to be brave and go in over the weekend and pay my fines. Probably about £50!

I was thinking the other day if this works I would love to keep in touch with you all throughout.
