Hi peeps :)

I’ll hyperlink this to our old thread so we can continue bitching about crystal82 😂

I can’t believe we’ve almost got to 1000 posts. I didn’t even know that was a thing - thank you @kittykatsmile because I had no idea it would just max out and I can NOT go on without you all. That’s not even an option.

@mouse1234567 thank you for your reply. It is horrid. It actually feels like food poisoning! Enjoy trying the old fashioned way this month. To give you some comfort apparently after a mc women are more fertile. But if I was you I'd just enjoy it for what it is without all the medications, pressure etc Grin

@Cauliflower82 I'm glad this morning's update went well and I am glad you are slowly on the mend. As far as I know still on for the transfer tomorrow afternoon. They said they may call me tomorrow morning if the quality is not good so will see. Regarding freeze quality I get the impression they make a decision on day 6 but I have no idea how. The flowchart I was given doesn't explain that so I am keen to hear peoples' experiences too.

@Welshpugmomma you still have 11 days?! That feels like it's been a long time. Do you have to go in for a blood test or do it at home? Also glad you are not feeling like this, it's like food poisoning!

Cauliflower82 · 30/06/2019 14:19

@Ginandtonic31 15!! Whoa that’s loads 😲 I hope you’ve got a nice big house for them all 😂.

@zest11 are you not feeling well? I feel I’ve missed something and I’m such a terrible twin!

OP posts:
Zest11 · 30/06/2019 14:39

@Ginandtonic31 woah that's loads! Are you some kind of machine?! 15 babies coming your way!!

@Cauliflower82 You're definitely not a terrible twin. Unfortunately I have a really upset tummy. I assume it's the progesterone as it started shortly after starting them but equally it could be a result of my carbfest the other day! Blush Just really want to be feeling 100% for tomorrow!

Ginandtonic31 · 30/06/2019 14:46

@Zest11 and @Cauliflower82 4 of them had the bad gene so couldn't be used, one of them failed the thaw and the other is inside me. So there's 9 left.

@Zest11 I think progesterone does upset the tummy. I don't feel off but I am going to the loo a lot more often (not complaining as might help me lose weight). I don't know about the gel though. I've put every pessary up the back but it's getting itchy! But I'm scared to use the front!

Cauliflower82 · 30/06/2019 14:55

@zest11 the twin weirdness continues so my bowel movements have not been too great. TMI alert: no decent no size 2 since egg collection 😭.
I have decided to go a bit mental with pomegranate juice. Apparently it helps. Verdict atm is that it doesn’t.
I hope you are feeling 100% tomorrow. I’ll be sending you lots of good vibes and no carbs, just more dreaded protein and fecking pineapple 🍍 ffs!

@Ginandtonic31 you’re still going to need a massive house 🏡. That’s an amazing result. Congratulations. Well done 😊!!

OP posts:
Ginandtonic31 · 30/06/2019 15:04

@Cauliflower82 I definitely will not use them all 😂

When I had my first egg collection the most painful bit was constipation after. Once I took a laxative it got much better. I think pomegranate juice is for lining. I think you need prune juice for the loo!

Cauliflower82 · 30/06/2019 15:16

@Ginandtonic31 so I should possibly try a laxative with my Sunday lunch? You know what, I think I just might :). Thank you for the tip. It has been tooooooooo long and maybe that’s contributing to the pain. @zest11 are you okay in this dept?
Ooh prune juice. I don’t really like that. Pomegranate juice for lining. I’m such a novice.

Zest11 · 30/06/2019 15:20

@Ginandtonic31 still...you have loads to work with. That must be quite reassuring knowing you have a few goes. I didn't think about the weight loss bonus...thank you for seeing the positive! I'll be thinking of that! GrinI checked the side effects and what I'm experiencing is a fairly common one.

@Cauliflower82 no way, this twin thing really is weird! I am really sorry you're experiencing this though, it is unpleasant. You summed it up very well!

Re: the foods, drinks etc. Does anyone have any advice on what to eat after ET? I've got pineapple and avocado but will get pomegranate juice and prune juice for the other issue. Any other suggestions?

Ginandtonic31 · 30/06/2019 15:25

@Zest11 I wish I could advise and I'm regretting not being better but all I have eaten is junk 😞maybe it will fail now.

@Cauliflower82 honestly all my pain was needing a poo! I felt it was up to my boobs! A laxative seemed to take ages to work through but once it did it felt better by the next day for work.

Welshpugmomma · 30/06/2019 15:58

@zest11 I've been chomping on pineapple and eating the core as that's supposedly the good bit , kept the protein up as it's supposed to help "maintain fluid in circulation"whatever that means but haven't been as strict :) but probably also been eating too much junk or just too much in general! Good luck tomorrow 😁 and yes it does feel like forever waiting!

@ginandtonic31 that is good to know you have more attempts, not sure if anyone already asked but what gene are you testing for? Sorry to be nosey by all means don't feel you have to answer :)

@cauliflower82 sounds like there's a juice for everything right, who knew!

Also ladies I've had shoulder pain since ec, in my faq booklet from clinic says it's normal , guessing it's the nerves? Very strange anyone else had this? Haven't felt it much today so perhaps it's passed now ..

According to all the time line things implantation should occur between yest until Thursday ... You can bet your dollar I'm waiting for a sign haha

Cauliflower82 · 30/06/2019 16:03

@Ginandtonic31 thank you, my husband is off to Tesco now - I’m hoping they have some in stock as we only have a little Tesco our way. We’re a bit far out and with it being Sunday and all, pretty much everywhere is closed.

@zest11 I do second that I’ve heard to eat and drink lots of pineapple. I’ve been listening to BFN and they’ve said to take it easy day of and day after ET but then maybe you should be just carrying on as normal. I’m going to try and follow this advice. I’ll eat all the good foods, give up coke again but I will continue with my chocolate ways.

@Welshpugmomma it’s so lovely to hear of your progress with your little embaby :).
What’s everyone’s otd? Mine is a week Thursday 😂 they do a blood test at my clinic. Another needle. Fabulous.

@cauliflowe82 when I had my eggs frozen we had 3 that got to day 5 blastocyst my son was 5aa the one the I just had was 4ab and the one I have left in the freezer is 2 bb. I’m not sure what they have to be but I know a’s And b’s are good. But obviously this time we had a hatching top quality embryo and it didn’t take and I know people that have had poor quality that have worked. Sorry don’t know if this helps at all. But good luck x

Zest11 · 30/06/2019 16:19

@Ginandtonic31 to be honest I think if it's going to stick it's going to stick regardless of what we eat/drink so I wouldn't worry. I specifically asked my clinic what to eat and they said because we both fit the criteria, we are therefore healthy and don't need to have anything special. I've only got the pineapple and avocado to make myself feel in control! Hmm

@Cauliflower82 thank you for that bit of advice about taking it easy. I think I will. How do you feel about a pregnancy blood test? Mine is on the Friday (#almosttwinsagain) and I'm really not sure how I am going to feel about hearing the result on the phone. I have thought whether to do one at home first to prepare myself especially if it's a no but I'm not sure that would even help!

@Welshpugmomma I had a bit of shoulder pain for a couple of days after EC but not sure if that was to do with the GA. It's gone now though. How exciting that you are tracking the implantation of your embryo! Let us know if you feel anything although I think @KittyKatSmile said she felt nothing!!

Becsharry · 30/06/2019 16:21

@Cauliflower82 I also got a phone call literally as I left the hospital after having transfer with my son to say I had two to freeze so that would have been day 5. X

Ginandtonic31 · 30/06/2019 16:26

@Zest11 mine is a blood test this Friday but we've decided to test Thursday night as I don't want to be told on the phone at work! At least if I do it Thursday night I will have an idea.

I'm freaking out now as I've cycled so far today and I'm 4 day post transfer. I'm so worried I've messed up. I've had absolutely no signs of implantation at all! So I'm not feeling positive but you can bet I will blame today's bike ride if it hasn't worked.

@Welshpugmomma I don't mind at all. It's a mutation in the RET gene that causes a disease called Hirschprungs. It took about three years just to find the bloody gene!

Becsharry · 30/06/2019 16:31

@Ginandtonic31 Wow 15 in the freezer!!

Becsharry · 30/06/2019 16:36

@Ginandtonic31 Don’t blame yourself for anything. I think what’s meant to be will be and no matter what you do or don’t do it will stick if it’s meant to. My sister went through 3 rounds of ivf she gave up everything literally wouldn’t move and it never worked. She started having caffeine after and going to the gym and drinking and fell pregnant naturally so you Can’t blame yourself as you have no control over it x

Zest11 · 30/06/2019 16:37

@Becsharry thank you for telling us about freezing, that's helpful. Smile

@Ginandtonic31 I don't think we can win e.g. if you didn't do the bike ride and it didn't work you'd probably blame yourself for being too sedatory (well I would anyway). Isn't it good to get blood flowing and cycling is really not that intense unless you're actually Bradley Wiggins? Re implantatjon symptoms, I think the progesterone masks them all. I think that's a good idea about the Thursday night testing, I would hate to be told at work as well xx

Zest11 · 30/06/2019 16:39

@Becsharry exactly my thoughts too!

Cauliflower82 · 30/06/2019 16:39

@Ginandtonic31 no, no, no you must not do that to yourself. A bike ride is not strenuous. If it helps, and I think it should, my clinic have told me that I can continue running and riding my bike until I get my bfp. We already do this stuff so don’t you dare give yourself a hard time. I know it sucks but I truly believe it’s out of your control now and has been really since egg collection.

@Becsharry 2 babies on ice sounds pretty good :).

@zest11 I’m feeling good about it being a blood test. Every time I’ve poas it’s been negative so I don’t want to do that again. I’m not testing myself at home at all. Plus, my friend who went to the same clinic got a bpf from her blood test and she desperately wanted to see two lines on a frer but it still said negative so I just feel like it’s too early and I don’t want to be sad ☹️.

It’s strange isn’t it that some poorer quality embryos take - it makes me feel a bit weird that they can’t just freeze them all.

OP posts:
Becsharry · 30/06/2019 16:41

@Zest11 When I started on the progesterone pessaries I literally had to keep running to the loo and one day whilst out (tmi) I didn’t make it 😭 it was awful I thought I must have eaten something really dodgy but that’s calmed down now x

Welshpugmomma · 30/06/2019 16:43

@Ginandtonic31 I just had a little Google it's great what technology can do isn't it, have you known a long time that you would go down the route of testing, was it recommended to you?

Also now that I read your testing this week it does make me think I've got to wait bloody ages! I'm the same test day as you @Cauliflower82 which is nice to know x
Mines just a pos which I'm sure I will end up doing about 5 of whatever the result 😂 least there is no doubting blood work!

Welshpugmomma · 30/06/2019 16:45

@Ginandtonic31 completly agree with cauliflower it doesn't matter what you do, we will always blame ourselves, now to relax after your cycle just don't take a hot bath! X

Ginandtonic31 · 30/06/2019 16:45

I know you're all right. It might be psychological. I just got halfway home and thought eugh this is feeling too much now. But I suppose it isn't like I don't ever exercise and decided to today (although I haven't in about a month!). I'm going to go back swimming this week.

I've never been told the quality but when I signed for this one inside going in it said 90% 🤷‍♀️
