Hi peeps :)

I’ll hyperlink this to our old thread so we can continue bitching about crystal82 😂

I can’t believe we’ve almost got to 1000 posts. I didn’t even know that was a thing - thank you @kittykatsmile because I had no idea it would just max out and I can NOT go on without you all. That’s not even an option.

@mouse1234567 Thank you. Yes we may well be on the next journey together. Have everything crossed for your next round x

Becsharry · 29/06/2019 13:30

The clinic have told me to continue medication and re-test on Monday because I haven’t bled. Is this due to the medication stopping af? X

mouse1234567 · 29/06/2019 13:35

I know the medication held my bleeding off. Was your OTD quite early? Maybe they want to give you a few more days to check it’s not a late implanter?

Becsharry · 29/06/2019 14:26

@mouse1234567 My test was 11dp5dt , I don’t feel like I am but I’ll carry on taking the meds and do it again Monday. I know some people have a people bleed before their test and just wondered if it was common x

BellaD85 · 29/06/2019 14:31

@Becsharry did you say that you had also been bleeding? I really hope you're little one is just s slow burner and is taking some time to wake up! Try testing again in a couple of days xx

I'm bleeding heavily now, it eased off a bit in the week but I woke up this morning and my clothes were soaked and (sorry TMI) and have to wear a tampon today...got clots too so I assume it's all over :-( I'm just so confused because the burse told me the other day that I can't have a period on Progesterone...I don't really understand it all. I'm just in so much period cramp pain and feel hopeless :-(

BellaD85 · 29/06/2019 14:36

My test date is not until Wednesday however I can already feel that it will be a BFN :-( how can it not be!!

@AliciaWhiskers Thank you so much about the cakes!I get 5 days leave so it's pretty generous really, our clinic is an hour and a half away so we have had to take half days. I think she is just pissed off with me because I had to take 2 days off and she had to cover my late shift. She's all over me like a rash today and telling me how focused I am!! I do wonder though as my husband works with me and he had a word with her boss yesterday so I wonder if she's realised that she's a big fat knob!!

@Cauliflower82 was it you that said you though the clinic was now like a babysitter to your Embryos? Haha I thought that too!! How are you today?

@Ginandtonic31 Thanks about the cakes :-) The hunt for the non alcoholic booze continues!! I feel that this topic should be a focal point in the blog along with the bum brigade!!

@Zest11 Good for you having some fun and letting your hair down yesterday :-) Go for it!!

AliciaWhiskers · 29/06/2019 14:50

@Cauliflower82 hehe love the thought of the clinic babysitting your embryos! They are in very good hands/incubators!

@Becsharry sorry to hear about your bfn, you are sounding very pragmatic and positive which I hugely admire. My head has been in such a spin with all of this I’m not sure I could be so level headed. Your holiday sounds great :)

@Zest11 once I got over feeling completely stupid talking to my follicles, I quite enjoyed it. I told them that I was in love with a man who would really like to be a dad, and that I’d really like for them to be part of making a baby for us :) Your heavy carb day yesterday sounds amazing. I’m such a carb fiend - I’m finding all this protein eating really difficult!

@Ginandtonic31 enjoyed your alcohol free drink update Grin. I don’t think I’ll be trying any myself, thanks for taking a hit for the team and giving some a try! What are you seeing at the theatre? Sounds a great way to spend a Saturday!

@mouse1234567 you are sounding really strong and positive too. Onwards and upwards!

Becsharry · 29/06/2019 14:50

@BellaD85 I haven’t had any bleeding or spotting throughout and still nothing. Pains seem to be getting stronger though.
I hope yours turns out good, I have everything crossed for you. I know people do bleed and still get a BFP x

mouse1234567 · 29/06/2019 14:51

@BellaD85 sorry to hear the bleeding is heavy and painful. I think in general the progesterone should hold of bleeding but doesn’t always. I certainly know on a thread I was on a few months ago that a few of the ladies started bleeding beforeOTD. Sorry -that’s probably not what you want to hear and I’m hoping it goes well for you. How much progesterone are you on?

AliciaWhiskers · 29/06/2019 14:54

@BellaD85 I’m sorry to hear about the bleeding. I didn’t think you could have a period either when using the progesterone.

Becsharry · 29/06/2019 14:56

@AliciaWhiskers Thank you. I do feel like I can’t dwell on it. I had fresh cycle 7 years ago with my DS and always said if I get one baby I’ll be the luckiest girl in the world. We were extremely lucky with my son but I found that round so hard and upsetting even though I got BFP I never thought i would have a child until I actually saw his face. It’s taken me 7 years to do a frozen cycle as I’ve been scared of it not happening feeling I wouldn’t be that lucky again, so I think I’ve prepared myself for it not to work and have to stay positive x

Becsharry · 29/06/2019 15:00

You girls are all doing great. I am great full that I got my BFP with my son and I hope the same happens for all of you x

AliciaWhiskers · 29/06/2019 18:00

@Becsharry given how scared it sounds as though you were to not do another cycle for 7 years, you are even more amazing for being so positive about moving forward now. Kudos to you lady.

Zest11 · 29/06/2019 18:46

@Becsharry let's hope it is a late implanter. You are dealing with this incredibly well.

@BellaD85 I am gutted for you to hear your update but I also have no idea what it means. Are you able to call your clinic? You may need to up the progesterone? I have heard people bleed red blood in pregnancy.

@AliciaWhiskers I think I went a bit overboard yesterday haha. Re protein: I have a lot of those skyr yogurts, nature valley protein cereal bar and I also put a bit of protein powder into yogurts etc to give it a boost. And there's the obvious like chicken, fish, nuts etc.

What's everyone been up to today? We went for a nice walk in the sun. I am really struggling with tiredness though...had a big nap this afternoon (and yesterday!). Not sure if it's my body adjusting from the GA, the heat or the mental exhaustion of the last few weeks.

Cauliflower82 · 29/06/2019 20:54

@Becsharry I’m so sorry to hear about your negative test. I hope you’re looking after yourself and indulging in all you desire. Will you go anywhere nice on your holiday?

@Ginandtonic31 I feel lonely without my follicles now, haha. You keep talking to your emby. I can’t wait to have one in me.

@zest11 yes, indulge in those carbs - eat all those carbs right up. I’ve been eating and drinking nothing but crap - I need to pull myself back together. No alcohol, but loads of coke. God, I love a good coke!!

@mouse1234567 22nd July will flyby - it’s july next week so not too long to wait at all. I’m still so sorry you’re going through this. Enjoy ttc the good old fashioned way this month.

@BellaD85 yip, it’s me who feels like the clinic are just babysitting my embryos right now - I hope they are nourishing them well. I’m glad your boss is being less of a bitch today.

I hope I haven’t missed anyone but I possibly have. My head is still so fuzzy today. It’s weird because on egg collection day I could recall pretty much everything but now I don’t even have a clue how I got back on the ward. Those drugs were amazing - I felt euphoric all Thursday.
I’m doing okay folks but I must admit that the back pain is incredibly bad. If it’s no better tomorrow, I feel I may need to ring the clinic before they call me with an update. It’s such an anxious time, isn’t it? Don’t get me wrong, I’d take this over injections any day but it mentally takes its toll. Thankfully I’ve just slept most of today - I’ve even woken up with quite a nice tan too 😂.

KittyKatSmile · 29/06/2019 21:45

@Cauliflower82 lol that you've woken up with a nice tan. Me too but mine was the result of many hours of hard graft, out in the park.

Verdict in on the M&S Sauvignon Blanc: AVOID. Bizarrely fizzy and just tastes of a slightly sour cordial. May as well just have cordial. Or 6litres of water just to stay alive. My house is 31 deg today. Not even kidding. I'm lying on the sofa with an ice pack on me....

CornishMaid1 · 29/06/2019 23:11

Hi everyone. I've had a really lazy day today. Quite crampy so I was on the sofa with a hot water bottle and ended up falling asleep for a few hours. I still feel a bit crampy but no bleeding.

@BellaD85 I'm sorry to hear your update. I think you can bleed on progesterone (I googled it even I thought I was going to start) but for a lot progesterone holds it off. It is still early for you as you are only 7 days past transfer so speak to the clinic if you can as they may up your progesterone - my clinic had said to call if there is any sign of bleeding. I really hope these bleeding stops soon x

Becsharry · 29/06/2019 23:24

@Zest11 Thank you. X
@Cauliflower82 I’ve indulged all day on bbq good and coke (coca cola) still couldn’t bring myself to have any alcohol though 🤦‍♀️We are going to Majorca! Really looking forward to the break x

Becsharry · 29/06/2019 23:29

@Cauliflower82 I hope you feel better tomorrow. My last egg collection really took its toll on me. Try and relax (easier said than done) but your body is going through so much and this part just drives your mind up the wall. I think that’s the worst bit is every hurdle you get over there’s the next step to worry about x

Mrbay · 30/06/2019 11:18

Hi girls

@BellaD85 and @Becsharry - I have everything crossed for you, hope are both feeling as well as you can.

Girls, I'm day 5 of stimms, should I be feeling anything?! Having read through others posts it seems everyone else had so sort of sign. Starting to worry nothing is happening.

Ref alcohol-free - I have a great recipe for mulled wine and cider, tho not the right weather now!
Perhaps try an mojito alcohol-free, that's muddled limes and fresh mint, simple syrup and topped with soda water.
Or a lime juice, fresh squeezed limes topped with tonic.
I have a feeling there's an alcohol free pimms.
Or how about as none of us are doing it, alcohol free sex on the beach? Just orange and cranberry juice.
I swear an English Country Garden would taste the same without the gin.

Last night, due to the heat, I experienced what an alcohol free gig would be like. I've learnt that I cannot dance sober but I can managed 6 or so pints 🤣 lovely waking up this morning just tired but still craving a Mac Donalds.

Zest11 · 30/06/2019 11:36

@Cauliflower82 haha it's like we've suddenly been let loose with all the junk. I asked my husband if he was going to the bakery again today to fetch our breakfast and he was like NO! You've gone crazy! No more! Love how you and @KittyKatSmile have woken up with a tan. It's definitely better to lie down and recover on a sunlounger rather than a bed! Wink

@Becsharry Majorca will be great...just what you need. A bit of sun and relaxation for now.

@CornishMaid1 surely this is all a good sign! Grin when is your OTD?

@Mrbay I didn't have many symptoms that early on. I did get a bit of bloating and gas but it didn't last that long. And then I thought I ovulated because I felt literally nothing at all in the 4 days or so heading towards EC.

Sorry I can't join in on the alcohol free chat...I'm not the world's best handler of alcohol...1 cocktail is enough for me!

I have a question regarding the progesterone actually. Umm...I have been given a gel that basically I have to squeeze up through the front and urmm I think it's given me some unpleasant side effects...(TMI alert) I have a REALLY upset tummy and keep having to make frequent dashes to the loo. Is this normal? And does anyone know how long it will last? I'm hoping it's just my body reacting and won't last the whole 2 weeks!

mouse1234567 · 30/06/2019 12:40

@Zest11 sorry to hear you are having a bad reaction to the prog. I was on a lot with 3 pessaries and 2 injections a a day and I must say I found them the worst drug-I got quite a upset tummy a lot. It’s so unpleasant.

Cauliflower82 · 30/06/2019 13:23

@Zest11 ha, we have deserved to go a bit nuts. Today I’ve decided to reign it in a little. The protein intake kind of went out the window so I’m back on my 12 eggs a day 😂. I’m surprised at how little protein eggs have in them - in my head it was SO much more. So, are you all fixed for transfer tomorrow?

@Becsharry thank you :) I do feel noticeably a little different today. Yesterday I was like 42% and today I’m feeling about 47% so looking up :). Majorca! Perfect :). Lovely sandy beaches and plenty of sun. Good choice.

@KittyKatSmile good to hear you’re tanning quite nicely too :). My husband has went red, bless him. He always does. He’s so desperate for that tan but it just never happens.

Day 3 update from the clinic went well today :). Day 5 transfer totally lined up for Tuesday.

So peeps, how do they decide if an embryo is good enough to freeze?

Welshpugmomma · 30/06/2019 13:27

Happy Sunday lassies :)
Hope your all doing okay,
Sorry to hear @becsharry, and keep passive @BellaD85 still a few more days right?
Feels like tww is forever, I'm growing impatient as still 11 days to go.... I'm not working so a lot of time on my hands and to much time for thinking/ googling!
@Zest11 sorry not much help either to you... I'm just on the gunky front pessaries X3 and some tablets x2, I'm just glad I can finally do a no. 2 😂 crystal moment right there pmsl...

On the non-alcoholic front I had a bottle of Sainsbury wine bought for me, it smells like goon but tastes alright if you can get past the little after fizz, nothings gonna match a wine but there we go! My friend had a alcoholic free seedlip gin at her baby shower... I totally would be regretting the spends if the expensive ones turn out horrible mind!

I need to stop myself but I keep thinking if it does work and I get a bfp how would I tell DH over phone!

Ginandtonic31 · 30/06/2019 14:08

@Cauliflower82 I don't know how they decide. They have to make it to blastocyst I think. We could only use ones that could be frozen as had to be biopsied for testing. But we did get 15 to the freezer!

@Welshpugmomma apparently the seedlip is awful! I'm going to stick to elderflower tonic today. In a gin glass.

My diet has been dreadful since transfer. Also today I've done 3 miles on the bike and have 3 miles Home and I'm worried I shouldn't have now!
