Hi peeps :)

I’ll hyperlink this to our old thread so we can continue bitching about crystal82 😂

I can’t believe we’ve almost got to 1000 posts. I didn’t even know that was a thing - thank you @kittykatsmile because I had no idea it would just max out and I can NOT go on without you all. That’s not even an option.

Hi, loads of jolly banter going on today. @BellaD85 my favourite pizza is bbq chicken with loads of red onions and peppers. Yummy 😋. @KittyKatSmile I loved your updates about everyone - yes I am still glad to be alive.

Was anyone else still in a lot of pain after egg collection? I’m still finding it difficult to walk a lot and my stomach and back are incredibly sore.

On a more positive note, the nurse says they’re looking after our embryos for us 🥚🧫🧪🧬💕🤗😍👪🍕🌞🌻🙏 I cant think of any more emoticons for my feelings yesterday 😂. Today, I felt more anxious than ever before. It’s only stupidly just occurred to me how much I am desperate for this to happen. Screw putting it off so I can go on holiday 😂 😂 I want a baby!!

@Cauliflower82 I am so sorry about your pain. My crystal82 post about egg collection missed out some vital points so you wouldn't have further panic about your potential death! I was very sore the day after ec...agony to pee, immense bloating and walking was not good. Today it's not as painful and I can go to the loo but I am walking very slowly still and bloated but things are definitely improving. I can imagine it would be a whole lot worse for you if you had around 30 follicles! I completely get your anxiety...mine was through the roof on EC day and I had some sheer panic when I saw them calling me AN HOUR EARLY this morning for an update but it meant nothing! Are you expecting any updates over the weekend?

Ginandtonic31 · 28/06/2019 21:52

You know what's weird, I suffered terribly after 4 eggs and had no pain at all after 27!

Zest11 · 28/06/2019 21:53

@BellaD85 I am sorry to hear your boss sounds like a right tit. I would suggest that you branch out your cake business to pies as well and we can all chuck pies at her horrible face! I had a look at your page and the cakes look really lovely and so beautifully and intricately decorated :) yum yum!

Zest11 · 28/06/2019 21:55

@Ginandtonic31 that does sound so strange!! Maybe it's like egg collection...numbers mean absolutely nothing! Confused

BellaD85 · 28/06/2019 21:58

@KittyKatSmiles I've posted public and also boosted it so I will have lots of people I am not familiar with liking the page :-) Good job on the wine diversion!!

@Mrbay thanks for the HR offer!! It's silly really I told them in October last year that we will be starting the process in January so they have had loads of time to know!! I got 5 days leave given for the process. When I went through my treatment plan she was like "how many days!?" she's also given loads of little snarky remarks. When I had the bleeding this week and needed to rest for a couple of days she was shitty then too.....she's the kind of person that sometimes says the words she is meant to say but looks right through you and stares off into space when you talk about anything emotional. She has no life out of work so I don't expect her to understand! I just don't think that she should have had that conversation with me knowing about this week and also I don't know what my result is yet! She's given me a month to think about it!! She has put all the other managers on performance plans too because the company is not performing (no fault of ours!)....feels like a gentle nudge to try and force my hand - stress I do not need right now!!!

@Ginandtonic31 How about telling your friend that you are on some special diet (Keto) and you need to have low sugar and alcohol so are drinking gin and tonic? She will never be able to tell what is in your glass! Maybe take some of that non-alcoholic gin in a hip flask for the room getting ready?

@Cauliflower82 good choice of pizza!!! Sorry to hear you are still bloated, I would say it took me a good 5 days to feel normal after EC. I found Paracetamol and a hot water bottle helped and didn't let myself go too long without a wee as a full bladder was so much pain! Hope it settles soon for you lovely!

@CornishMaid1 Don't worry about the cramping that's a good sign! Look out for some spotting and also changes to your boobs. Not everyone gets symptoms so don't be disheartened! You are testing 2 days after me eeeekkkk!! I've still got this spotting going on and I panick every day as it gets heavier at 11am on the dot like clockwork each day but then settles down as time passes...strange!! The 2WW is sssssoooooo lllllooooonnnngggggg!

BellaD85 · 28/06/2019 22:01

@Zest11 yes lets do that!! Although....she would probably catch and eat the pies as fast as we could throw them!!

Thank you for your very kind comment on my cakes :-) The one in my profile picture is my wedding cake! I made over 1000 flowers to go on it. Not ideal when you decided to get married and plan everything in 3 and a half months ha! I love making cakes :-)

Cauliflower82 · 28/06/2019 22:08

Thank you for the tips ladies :). @bellad85 I’m going almost twice an hour 😂.

@Zest11 that is so kind that you didn’t post in fear of making me even more anxious #twinsforlife. I’m expecting an update on Sunday - they’re so scary. Will you be getting another update over the weekend?

AliciaWhiskers · 28/06/2019 22:25

@BellaD85 wow your cakes look amazing! Sorry to hear about your boss, she sounds terrible. Does your work have an IVF leave policy? Mine does (I work for the NHS). We are allowed 3 appointments counted as Work time, and there is something to do with time off if it’s not successful, but I can’t remember that bit. Anyway, it’s under the special leave policy. You surely can’t be discriminated against for having a medical procedure?

@CornishMaid1 sorry to hear you are feeling a bit fed up today. Hope the cramping is a positive sign! What are your plans for the weekend?

@Ginandtonic31 thanks for the reassurance about egg numbers. They said they wouldn’t up my meds, but fingers crossed I’ll get some ready for EC next week.

AliciaWhiskers · 28/06/2019 22:29

@Cauliflower82 hope the pain eases off soon and you feel more comfortable.

@Zest11 I bet your heart stopped when the clinic called an hour early. I don’t think I could cope with people not calling when they say they will!

Inspired by some of you ladies (well, and Keith), I’ve started talking to my follicles. I feel a complete loon, but who cares. Ain’t nobody here to listen!

Cauliflower82 · 28/06/2019 22:34

@aliciawhiskers I’m missing talking to my follicles. Now I’m thinking of the clinic as babysitting my embryos 😂.

BFN for me this morning ladies 😞I’m not going to dwell on it. Upsetting of course but just wasn’t meant to be this time. X

Ginandtonic31 · 29/06/2019 08:30

@BellaD85 I echo what everyone has said about the cakes! Fab.

@Cauliflower82 I sometimes speak to the embryo. I'm like come on, get settled in! And the other half always leaves for work when I'm in bed so yesterday he gave me a kiss and said bye beautiful, bye emby 😂

@Becsharry Oh sorry to see this. Is today test day?

KittyKatSmile · 29/06/2019 08:41

@Becsharry I'm sorry it wasn't the news you wanted. Do you have a plan for next steps? Sending you love.

@Ginandtonic31 that is so lovely. Sending you also a kiss and good vibes for emby

@BellaD85 those cakes look amazing! Right, I'm moving to York right now.

Becsharry · 29/06/2019 09:35

@KittyKatSmile Thank you. Yes we have a holiday booked in 4 weeks time and when we get home we will have out last frozen embryo put in x

@Ginandtonic31 Yes today was test day. Didn’t sleep all night worrying. But it just wasn’t meant for us this time x

Ginandtonic31 · 29/06/2019 09:38

@Becsharry your holiday will be much needed I'm sure. Enjoy that and then you can focus on the next transfer. X

Becsharry · 29/06/2019 09:43

@ Yes that’s exactly what we need. Thank you x

Zest11 · 29/06/2019 09:54

@becsharry I'm sorry to hear this. Look after yourself and do all the things you enjoy over the next few weeks xx

@AliciaWhiskers yes, I was like ohh nooo! How are you finding talking to your follicles? I used to give them a bit of a shake to, thinking I was shaking them into action! Grin

@BellaD85 she's a stupid woman. She's probably concerned about having to pay you maternity leave which is horrid especially as you've been there 7 years! And definitely illegal!

@Cauliflower82 yes the updates are terrifying aren't they! But they are so kind on the phone. No more for me this weekend thankfully, I'm loving the fact it's all out of my hands. Yesterday I took your pizza advice and went crazy. I had a pastry from the bakery, crisps, flapjack and went out for dinner and had a cocktail! It was honestly the best day I had in ages! Grin how are you feeling today?

Becsharry · 29/06/2019 10:05

@Zest11 Thank you x

Ginandtonic31 · 29/06/2019 10:21

ALCOHOL-FREE VERDICT

So last night I tried alcohol-free gin. It was alright but not really like gin. More like a cordial and tonic. Not unpleasant though. But I think I could quite happily drink elderflower tonic and be happy without forking out for the gin!

Also tried prosecco which on first taste was okay but after a few sips it tasted like Shloer. 😂 the hunt continues!

Ginandtonic31 · 29/06/2019 10:23

How was your wine @KittyKatSmile? We could start a ranked list of the best alcohol-free stuff 😂

KittyKatSmile · 29/06/2019 10:55

@Ginandtonic31 I thought that might be the case with the gin. I'd seen it advertised before and thought 'well isn't that just cordial?' and it's really expensive isn't it?!

I didn't drink the wine in the end as I live with a housemate (best friend from uni) and I didn't want to rouse suspicion (this has been a challenge before when buying a baby on board badge as they are not in plain packaging! Curses to you all with your husbands and partnersGrin) I'm going to a picnic this afternoon with people who know I haven't been drinking for a while so will take it there and circle back. It does look slightly like cloudy urine (although not MY urine as that is generally bright yellow these days).

Happy Saturday lovelies. Hope you're all getting the sun wherever you are xx

Ginandtonic31 · 29/06/2019 11:24

@KittyKatSmile mum said it's the same price as Gin!! I felt bad then! I'm off to the theatre later with dinner before so I will hopefully find some mocktails on the menu!

mouse1234567 · 29/06/2019 13:05

@Becsharry sorry to hear about the negative. Wishing you a restoring holiday and luck on the next round. We might be doing our next frozen together on another thread!

mouse1234567 · 29/06/2019 13:08

Also wanted to let you guys know -my blood test showed my hcg is dropping so although it’s a bit strange —I can move on and think to the future. My bleeding is slowing and hopefully my period won’t take too many weeks. We are going to try naturally this month (you never know!!) so I’m going to get back on my old friend OPKs and temping. Follow appointment is in just over three weeks on July 22nd which I thought wasn’t too long away. Hopefully I will be able to transfer by Sep.

Good luck everyone -I’m enjoying following your journeys and wish you all the best.
