I can’t believe we’ve almost got to 1000 posts. I didn’t even know that was a thing - thank you @kittykatsmile because I had no idea it would just max out and I can NOT go on without you all. That’s not even an option.

I'm getting a little lost where everyone is, can we have a round up post please? I don't want to come across as mean by missing people's updates.

I think I will be the last of us to have a my EC & ET (if I manage to produce anything!) as it's planned for W/C 8th July.

I don't feel any different since starting stimms, though I am on a high dose 300 IU Bemfola - so hopefully that'll kick start my ovaries or they could be as lazy as me!

@AliciaWhiskers I completely understand why you're worried, I was in a similar position a week ago. Your last scan was just 2 days ago so it isn't that surprising not much more has happened. As others have suggested try and eat lots of protein to help the eggs you do have mature.

@KittyKatSmile after you have banged on about the BFN podcast for weeks on end I have finally got round to listening to the pre transfer one. These girls are brilliant! I love the bit about shaving "welcome" onto pubic hair to welcome the embryo in!

Makes me entirely confident in asking for help in finding an answer to my next question:

EC is likely to be on Wednesday. Wednesday morning, my ex (who is EA and a bit of a moron) drops the kids to me at 0730, and I take them to school. There is a breakfast club, but it doesn't start until 8, and our EC is about an hour (at least) from home. Ex can't take the kids to school as he starts work at 8.

So, how can I get the kids to school on time, and myself to a clinic, when nobody knows we are doing IVF?

If someone can get into the answer that I need to tell someone I'm off to meet a 63 year old man called Keith, they get bonus points!

@AliciaWhiskers I think the answer is fairly clear. Ask Keith to take the kids to school. What on earth could go wrong?!

The real answer is really to ask to have your EC later on. They must have a number of slots as people's triggers are always at different times. Just tell them you can only have yours from, say, 11am and make sure you tell them that now so you can baggsy the spot you want.

Keith the problem solver (actually all of my gay friends tell me I'm very blokey (I'm tiny, petite and cute, they can fuck off) because I'm always very solution focussed.....!)

I mean, if nothing else, you can teach them all about internet safety and that the person you think you are talking to online might not be that person at all!

(As an actual response, as we are having ICSI, my clinic said that they prefer to do those first, and so we would likely to be at the start of the day. Not sure if I can request a later time, but I can try)

@AliciaWhiskers do you have any mum friends of the kids that could take an extra couple of kids with them? Apologise and say something really urgent has come up and offer to take theirs another day?

@AliciaWhiskers If ex is a moron, can you get a friend/family to help out and say ex was meant to drop them to school but now can't so would they mind. Maybe through in that you would do it but you can't as you have a date with Keith.

I do second seeing if they will give you a later slot. I have had two ec which were planned for ICSI and my first was around 10:30 and the last at 8, so there is no reason for the times. I only got the 8am slot last time as the clinic asked when we were travelling up and we said the night before - if we were travelling in the morning they were going to give us a later slot (we are 3.5 hours a way on a good run).

@Ginandtonic31 I didn't feel too much after ET. I was a bit uncomfortable from where the catheter was and I was convincing myself that I could feel something, but I think it was just that my ovaries were still a bit sore and the traffic was so bad last Saturday it took 5.5 hours to get home in the baking sun!

@CornishMaid1 that’s good to know I might be able to get a later appointment. I guess I won’t know until Monday when they decide if I’m having EC on the Wednesday or not. In the meantime I’ve been brave and asked a friend to be on call just in case (she’s had ivf herself in the past so I’m sure has had the same sort of logistical issues and would understand).

@KittyKatSmile look forward to hearing Keith’s words of womanly wisdom on the podcast. Any idea of the title you might with?

@Ginandtonic31 Whhhaaaattt there is alcohol free Gin! I'm 100% getting me some of that!! I also like The Bees Knees from Morrison's! The one from Tesco is de-alcoholised Sauvignon Blanc so tastes real...it says less than 0.5% alcohol on the bottle (just an FYI) however I did some research and they have to say that as it was real wine originally.

@AliciaWhiskers Oh lovely don't worry which I know is hard to say. Maybe they will increase your stims? I only had 5 follicles, 4 on the right and 1 on the left and had to stim for longer. I thought we had no chance as they were all small but on EC day they got all 5, all 5 fertilised and I got 2 viable Embryos which went in as a fresh transfer. I know it's hard when you are dealing with smaller number but DO NOT LOSE HOPE!!!! Its quality over quantity xx

@Cauliflower82 Hahaha you crack me up! Well to be honest anything that is on your mind on EC day is IMPORTANT!! You wanted to know what peoples favourite pizzas were and I needed to know if I had turned into a Turtle and also tell people that small monkeys ate bread rolls. So what is your favourite pizza then at? I take it it's chicken related due to you eating 6 a day for your protein intake? My firm fave is Chicken and Sweetcorn YUM!

Well today I decided to try and take over the world with Cake Domination and launch my Cupcake Parties on every version of Social Media possible!! My boss had "a future of my roll" conversation with me yesterday which I'm pretty sure she can't have!!!! Made me so sick of the place as I have never been off sick, work so bloody hard (been there 7 years!) and now because I have had a few days off for IVF she thinks that I am not capable enough to do my role....I had to try so hard to not tell her to suck my big fat dick! (sorry!!). In other good news I was contacted today to help run a cupcake class I a cookery school so fingers crossed my plan for world cake domination will happen and I can quit!! Other than that feeling ok, been nice to have something else to occupy my mind! Only 5 more sleeps to go until test day!

Also just realised that my post was from info about 10 hours ago haha...started tying earlier but then got into my cake flow!!

Keith...go on take the kids for @AliciaWhiskers If you lived near me I would!

Oh @BellaD85 you have no idea how much better I feel from having read your post. I have convinced myself that none of them will fertilise and it’s all been a waste of time. So helpful to know that it can be ok despite low numbers. Thank you

@AliciaWhiskers my numbers/stats similar. Only one didn't fertilise and a good proportion of those made it to top grade day 5s. It can happen. Keep the faith.

@AliciaWhiskers my very first round after a week nothing at all had happened! They upped my dose and although I had lots of follicles only got 4 eggs. I was devastated but 3 fertilised and one made it to day 5! If it was a fresh transfer it would have been transferred. Unfortunately, because we are testing for a genetic condition that one had the condition so couldn't be transferred. But I hope it gives you hope that low numbers aren't necessarily the end.

@BellaD85 I'm off to drink it soon. I will give you the verdict! I think it's from Tesco. Also up for trying the wine too! I'm going to raid all supermarkets for fake alcohol tomorrow 😂 only trouble is, I've got an awards do next week with a colleague and staying over so we can drink! I'm going to have to come up with an excuse as I can't plonk my alcohol free wine on the table and pretend it's real 😂

@AliciaWhiskers I know it's so hard to stop your brain going to worst case scenario but you need to read my post, @KittyKatSmile post and her little cutie and switch your mind to positive vibes and IT WILL HAPPEN!! Honestly my friend got 23 eggs collected and only got 3 in the end!! Big numbers mean nothing. You are going to be fine :-)

@AliciaWhiskers As has been said don't worry too much about numbers - a low number of follicles can still give you great embryo. Numbers aren't everything - I had 19 follicles, 13 eggs and only 1 embryo at the end, so some here with fewer follicles still ended up with more embryos.

I'm feeling a bit fed up today. I'm feeling a bit bloated and crampy and worrying that my period is about to come. I know it probably shouldn't as I'm only 6dp5dt today and my otd isn't until next Friday but I have a horrible feeling that is hadn't worked. Really hope I'm wrong

Thanks for the follicle vs embryo talk, I've got a really low AMH so we won't be expecting double figures so it's good to hear others that have been successful with what they manage to get extracted.

Inspired by this chat I went to get some non alcoholic wine in M&S and almost got busted by one of my colleagues! Had to shuffle the bottle round so the non-alcoholic label wasn't showing! Oh. And this after I left my blood test results written down at my desk and then someone told me they'd left a note for me. Argh!!
