Hi everyone, so we saw the nurse earlier this week and our plan has been set. We are on long protocol and will be looking at starting on my December cycle meaning that I will be due to start buserelin around 6th jan with EC being end of Jan.

Anyone else looking at a December/ January cycle?

@positivity86 will they be monitoring you over the next few weeks to see if the injections are working?

brighteye3986 · 21/02/2019 16:03

Oh my.... my hormones are all over the place today. Stress, anger, happy, crying everything... just had an argument with someone I work with too.

Really trying to keep my stress levels as low as possible but today that just hasn't happened. I'm really hoping it's a good sign and not a bad.

@brighteye3986 i wouldn't worry to much as to what it means. At this stage your body will be clearing out all the hormones you've been putting into it over the last few weeks. It's going to feel like a rollercoaster. Just breath and try and do something nice and relaxing when you get home to unwind.

Wish this back ache would go away. Still my right side and it's very annoying!

brighteye3986 · 21/02/2019 16:27

Thanks @Ginger951. I have acupuncture after work so that will help. I already feel better so think I may have need to get it out- it just so happened to be to someone talking to me like I'm a piece of s**t.

Aww I've had the backache all week and the cramps.....

I give up on this reollercoster... I think it's taking its own ride!

@brighteye3986 i totally agree! The rest of this has been easy compared to this! Nothing makes sense! Will be so gutted if this really hasn't worked.
Feel like it was the doctors fault as well. When he was doing the transfer he just didn't seem happy. Kept fighting the scanning lady because she couldn't get a clear picture. And then started asking if I had any structural issues! I've had multiple scans, egg collection and a hsg scan. So now worried he didn't get it in at all. :(

brighteye3986 · 21/02/2019 20:12

@Ginger951 I really hope this works for you too. How many days post transfer did you test?

OP posts:
Ginger951 · 21/02/2019 21:02

8dp5dt. I know there is still time but just doesn't feel like it has worked. Feels more like my period is about to start.
It's my husband I feel sorry for he was so sure that it would work.

brighteye3986 · 21/02/2019 21:25

@Ginger951 don't forget though that they say it can take up to 6 days after transfer to implant. I'm sure it was just too early to test. I've been feeling like AF is coming all week. Tonight I've just been a massive blubbering mess for no reason. I know I've had a stressful day but I was feeling fine and then all of a sudden just started crying. I'm proper living on this rollercoaster at the moment

Ginger951 · 21/02/2019 23:31

@brighteye3986 I've had a couple of days like that. Such a horrible feeling, especially along with all the stress and anxiety.

Had some stringy brown discharge this evening, tmi I know. Really does feel like my period is about to start now. What with the back pain and aching/cramps, won't bother testing again till Sunday. I will be 12dp5dt then and only one day before my test date. If i make it that far!

brighteye3986 · 22/02/2019 05:58

@Ginger951 I would still test anyway. My hospital told me that even if I bleed I still need to test. I've not had any spotting or anything but I know not everyone gets it. Yours may just be implantation!

On the subject of TMI- I have been doing the pessaries via front and have not had and evidence of blood etc.

Good luck for Sunday! I have my fingers crossed for you that all this stress and worry was for nothing ✨

OP posts:
Ginger951 · 22/02/2019 07:07

@brighteye3986 yeah I've been doing them in the front to, can't work out what it is. Starting to feel a bit sore when doing them now. So it could be that they have irritated me and that's what causing the blood.

When's your test day?

brighteye3986 · 22/02/2019 07:12

@Ginger951 it is possible. Mine never hurt.

Test day is 27th so 2 days after yours I believe. I have tasked DH to buy tests when he is at work on Tuesday evening as by the time he gets home I will be in bed. He is off Wednesday and is going to Manchester for football so we will be testing together in the morning. I've also told him to buy extras so if I need to I can test again Thursday or Friday. I've so far resisted temptation of testing and haven't felt the urge just yet to think I need to buy a test before then. The weekend may be different though as I will mostly be on my own as DH is working. I think I will try and plan my weekend today so I keep busy and occupied to take my mind off of it. It's so close now

OP posts:
Ginger951 · 22/02/2019 10:07

@brighteye3986 yeah they have never hurt before. It's only in the last few days that I've been feeling a little tender.

Sounds like a good plan 're testing. It's so hard to hold off. I would definatly recommend staying busy! I have one test in the house and I'm not using it till Sunday. Off to dinner with my family Sunday, so I will confirm my negative before I tell them I've been telling pork pies and we have already been for ivf. So glad I didn't tell them, they all think it will 100% work they would have had me believing it otherwise.

Do any of your family/friends know?

brighteye3986 · 22/02/2019 10:50

@Ginger951 my immediate family know and a couple of friends. Also a few of my work colleagues know. I've had a lot of support from all them and in a way it's nice to have people to speak to even if they don't know everything.

I think they will also be supportive in whichever way it goes.

OP posts:
Ginger951 · 22/02/2019 12:56

@brighteye3986 I'm sure they will.
Our immediate families and a select few friends know about our problems but no one apart from my husband grandmother knows that we have had a round of ivf/icsi now. They are all very supportive but a little smoothing with it. Always seem to think everything will work straight away and need everything explaining a million times without actually getting the point I'm trying to explain. Doing this with them would have been just way to stressful! Especially as I don't think it has worked.

brighteye3986 · 22/02/2019 15:51

@Ginger951 I'm 50/50. Sometimes I feel like I feel different and other times I don't but I guess I will find out on Wednesday. I think I would have found it difficult if I hadn't told the people I have. The hardest thing will be if it has worked keeping it from lots of people until getting to the 12 week mark.

@ginger951 don’t give up hope yet! HCG levels double every day from implantation and there has to be a reasonable amount for the test to pick it up. You can have no sign of a line one day and a positive the next. Really good luck for Sunday.
@brighteye3986 I definitely felt like AF was coming at some points (it still feels like that some days at 6 weeks 3 days). I don’t think it really tells you either way, especially given the progesterone means AF won’t actually come unless you stop taking it.
@positivity86 sorry to hear there are more injections.

brighteye3986 · 22/02/2019 16:41

Thanks @womaninkent. How have you been? Have you had any scans yet or anything?

OP posts:
brighteye3986 · 22/02/2019 17:33

And @womaninkent it's good to know you had AF symptoms too. I'm really hoping it does work but I'm also preparing myself for it not to.

OP posts:
Ginger951 · 22/02/2019 20:01

@brighteye3986 @positivity86 @womaninkent
Need opinions here. I've started spotting. Had a little yesterday, was brown and then slightly pink when wiping (just the once) and now brown again. Enough for a panty liner. Feel like I'm on my period, back is killing me, I'm getting cramps sometimes sharp ones. I'm 10dp5dt. Any ideas as to what the hell is going on???

brighteye3986 · 22/02/2019 20:06

@Ginger951 it could be implantation. See how it goes overnight and see what it's like in the morning. I would say it's more than likely implantation being brown as that indicates old blood.

OP posts:
Ginger951 · 22/02/2019 20:33

Update. More pink but again only when wiping. And I've been way to busy on my feet this evening. Should I be worried?

brighteye3986 · 22/02/2019 20:49

@Ginger951 I wouldn't be too worried unless it starts getting heavier. If it's only when you wipe it could be implantation. Try to relax a little. I'm sure it's fine

OP posts:
womaninkent · 22/02/2019 23:29

@ginger951 could be implantation.
Got my fingers crossed for you.

Positivity86 · 23/02/2019 08:28

@Ginger951 it could well be a positive sign, I've got everything crossed for you x
