Hi there,

Anyone else doing IVF this month? I’ve had 2 weeks of Buserelin, and just started the oestrogen tablets today. I’ve never known time to go so slowly before. 😬😂

FET planned for end of August.

I’ve been a hormonal wreck. Got AF this weekend, plus all the extra hormones, and the other half doesn’t know what to do with me - or himself! Ha Ha.

Would be nice to connect with others going through IVF at the moment. x

Oooh CatRen - that sounds lovely. Am I right in thinking your FET is tomorrow? If so, wishing you loads of luck. This is supremely exciting. 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Good luck holding out until Friday SnowFee. I shall be thinking of you.

Is today your OTD Thund4rCat? If so, sending loads of positive, sticky vibes your way. Do let us know how you get on.

CatRen27 · 24/09/2018 07:55

Ooh thund4rcat best of luck today!!

Thanks cariad yep, it's tomorrow. I'm so excited! Also just did a big shop and filled my kitchen with yummy healthy food so I'll feel good for the next two weeks. How are you feeling? Hope all is really well

Thund4rcat · 24/09/2018 12:55

I wish! No my OTD is Thursday. I am now 9dp5dt and desperate to test. I read today that some clinics give OTD as 9dp5dt so am even more tempted knowing that.

I have been aching and having cramps on and off since 6dp5dt which I know can be a good or a bad sign, but it makes it harder to stop thinking about it when I'm in pain.

Also my clinic told me any relaxation therapy was fine, so I had a massage on Friday and I think the masseuse over did it, and my lower back is also killing me. I'm also worrying I shouldn't have had the massage, but it's not like she did my abdomen, just my shoulders, back, legs, feet. So am trying to reassure myself that my clinic instructions are correct.

Thund4rcat · 24/09/2018 12:55

Good luck with your transfer @catren2017

snowfee · 24/09/2018 14:29

@Thund4rcat I've been having cramps since 6dpt too. To start with I was hopeful it meant little embryos were snuggling in but I'm still getting cramps and now at 10dpt2dt so starting to worry. I really want to test, I may buckle and do it tomorrow morning but keep in the back of my head if it's negative I'll still have a few days to OTD for it to turn positive.

Thund4rcat · 24/09/2018 17:31

@snowfee don't worry as natural pregnancy hormones, and also the progesterone we are taking, can cause cramps even after implantation if it has happened apparently. Basically there is no way to tell from any symptoms.

snowfee · 24/09/2018 19:00

@Thund4rcat that's what I keep reminding myself. Can't trust any of these symptoms at the moment.

CatRen27 · 25/09/2018 09:10

Transfer all done, feeling pretty good, now just have to wait! Have to go in for a blood test next Friday, in 10 days time. Eek!

snowfee · 25/09/2018 10:30

@CatRen27 great news! How many embryos did they transfer?

snowfee · 25/09/2018 11:00

Soooo... I did buckle and test this morning and there was a faint line but there was a line. I'm not getting overly excited as I know it could turn into a chemical pregnancy, but there was a line! First line I've ever seen in 2 years TTC (again trying not to get excited)
Do you think all of the trigger shot would be out of my system by now (11dp2dt)? Or could it be that causing the line?

CatRen27 · 25/09/2018 11:35

Ooooooh snowfee that IS exciting! Can we see it? I'm pretty sure by this stage the trigger is out of your system. You're right to be cautious, but goodness me it's a great sign!

Oh and they transferred one. My clinic only seem to do single blast transfers, so we've got 4 more goes if this one doesn't stick.

Thund4rcat · 25/09/2018 13:38

@snowfee that is exciting! I nearly buckled just now but am gonna wait. I did read that trigger should be out by 10 days but it may still be in your system for up to 14 depending on the trigger. I guess if you do another test tomorrow you can see if it is getting darker or lighter. Fingers crossed it is the real thing though!

Did you tell your partner or are you pretending you didn't test to him? Mine really doesn't want me to test early so that's helping me not buckle.

StillLikeAirIRise · 25/09/2018 17:05

Hi ladies (it's IVFaugust, thought I'd better name change as it doesn't apply anymore!)

Cariad your words were so kind, thank you - I very much hope you can relax and memorise everything about this pregnancy soon ❤️

So pleased you've got a BFP snowfee that's so exciting! Congratulations!
Great news about the transfer catren really pleased for you and thunder fingers crossed for you for when you take your test 🤞

I didn't take another test on the OTD, my period started Saturday so all in all I was grateful that I'd taken the test on Friday as that would have been a devastating shock for me Saturday afternoon. I promptly booked a holiday for May and ordered £150 worth of Zita West supplements - why is it that spending money heals things?! The supplements arrived this morning along with a clinic apt for 26th Oct to plan the FET so all in all we're doing okay. I'm going to head back off again until I start treatment again but just wanted to check in one last time. Best of luck to you all 🍀🍀🍀

snowfee · 25/09/2018 19:29

Here's my test from this morning. I know this is going to make me a bad person, but I haven't told my DH that I tested. He would want to wait til the official date to do it and I don't know if I could handle his disappointment as Ive felt so down this last week. Again I'm a bad person I know.

Botanica · 25/09/2018 19:39

@snowfee I'm sure there'll be a few of us here who've done exactly the same thing for exactly the same reason.

It's looking like a good line coming on there, congratulations!

CatRen27 · 25/09/2018 23:10

snowfee that's not even a faint line! It's totally there. Exciting! And im the same as you, I'd need to do a test on my own first, although I'd probably tell dh at some point before the official test. If he doesn't want to test before then, just leave him in the dark. Eek!

Thund4rcat · 26/09/2018 09:56

@StillLikeAirIRise thanks for checking in. I didn't realise it was possible to start your period when you are taking progesterone, that must have been very upsetting.

That's good you are scheduled to plan your FET. I am already trying to prepare for a BFN just in case that's what I get tomorrow.

I have managed not to test before my OTD. I won't do it today. Too scared to deal with a bad result on my own.

@snowfee that is wonderful to see your positive result. You must be so happy and it must feel so hard to keep it from your DH! I know I wouldn't be able to stop grinning and it would be obvious!

Thund4rcat · 27/09/2018 10:56

My OTD has brought an inconclusive result! We think we can see a line in the test the clinic gave me, but it's hard to capture it on a photo and a digital said not pregnant. A second clearblue showed an extremely faint line too.

My photo is here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3377675-Extremely-faint-line-Halp-plz Any second opinions???

CatRen27 · 27/09/2018 11:10

Omg @thund4rcat there's defo a line there! Exxxxccciting stuff! Ignore the digital, a line's a line 😎

Cariad2017 · 27/09/2018 11:48

Sending tentative congratulations your way Thund4rcat. Remind me, how many DPO are you? If I was you, I would keep testing over the next few days to see if the lines get darker.

Cariad2017 · 27/09/2018 11:49

Enormous congratulations on your transfer CatRen and your BFP SnowFee. Exciting times.

Thund4rcat · 27/09/2018 11:51

Thanks @Catren27 and @Cariad2017. I am 12dp5dt. So I feel like it should be clearer by now :/ Will keep testing each day...

Cariad2017 · 27/09/2018 11:55

Lovely to hear from you again StillLikesaRise. I’m glad you have a plan.

I may well be joining you in booking a holiday for May shortly. Currently in limbo but as the Clearblue Digi conception indicator seems stuck on 2-3 weeks and I had a scan yesterday showing a very small, empty sac I’m definitely behind where I should be at 5+2. I have another scan next week to confirm, but am very much expecting this pregnancy to end in an MMC. It’s hit me much harder than expected.

Thund4rcat · 27/09/2018 12:47

@cariad2017 I am so sorry to hear about your scan. It must feel awful not being 100% sure one way or another.

StillLikeAirIRise · 27/09/2018 18:54

Oh cariad I'm so sorry. I just don't know what to say, it's awful that you're going through this. Infertility is shit, nobody would wish this on their worst enemy.

I truly hope you're wrong and all is well next week but I can only imagine what you will go through until then. Take care of yourself xx
