Good luck @vileta.. hope it goes well..
Congratulations @physicskate.
@LopeyLopez keeping my fingers crossed..
i am having my trigger tomorrow.. just want to get it over with.. not really filled that much with any great feelings about it. i had about 15 follies but apparently that are not equal sizes.. ah well..
But have to say thank god for internet and forums. really helps to know that i am not the only one going through this..
@beherenow- congrats on your frosties.. am thinking of going down the same pathway if we have any viable embryo so that i can take a break..

Hello, Hope everyone feels good today.
Tigerlily99 I stopped pills on Thursday and AF came last night. Having endo and not being able to take pain killers is not advisable!! I've not slept a wink. Anyway thankful AF came on day 28 as she always does. Now it's a waiting game for UCLH to call me.
Anyone have experience waiting for the baseline scan with the NHS? can they push you out a week or do they just get on with it whilst you're still bleeding? My AF only lasts a few days. It's a bit of a grey area with the timing for this scan and process. Assume they have to wait till you finish bleeding as they want to check the thinness of your lining etc.

@tikha good luck with your trigger - hope you’re feeling excited! @maxinegavin1 fingers crossed you get a date soon, all the waiting is horrible!
My Af finally arrived (day 32) so am looking forward to having scan later this week, hopefully lining will be think enough to start stims.
Hope everyone else is doing well

@Tigerlily99 so your scan is next Tuesday? I guess that means I'm freaking out over nothing. I am waiting for the clinic to call me to book mine in as I started AF last night (they don't book until you've called on day on of bleed) I thought the baseline scan HAD to take place on day 3/4 of cycle. I guess it can wait up to a week. We just keen downregging till they are ready... ?
Beherenow32 · 02/07/2018 16:14
@HJ82 my Hospital said baseline scan needs to be within the first 5 days after the bleed starts, but that may be because I was getting put on the pill in this time.
@Gavinmaxine1 good luck for tomorrow!
I’m sitting here, symptom spotting like crazy and torturing myself lol. Woke up really feeling as thigh I could be pregnant, but that stopped. So, been emotional today! Xx
Beherenow32 · 02/07/2018 16:52
@HJ82 good news! Once you start, it all goes so fast.
I’m 5dp5dt and go for a blood test on Friday.
I have been doing lovely things. And spending lots of time outside. It’s just getting so close to test day and I’m anxious. I would be sure if I knew that I was pregnant by now 🤷♀️ This morning I felt like I had a hangover, but it went away after a few hours.... nothing now! Xx
Tigerlily99 · 02/07/2018 17:09
@beherenow- don’t give up! Some ladies have symptoms and no pregnancy, some have no symptoms and are pregnant- the only way to know for sure is to test at OTD. Good luck, fingers crossed for you
@HJ82- my clinic booked me in for down reg scan when I called on CD1! I then started down reg CD21. They weren’t interested to see me if I bled earlier. As per my paper work it actually states some women bleed and some don’t during down reg but I’d feel much better if I did bleed.... I wasn’t on any tablets with down reg either so it will have to come naturally. Have had increasing period pains for 4 days now with no bleed so it’s driving me a bit crazy! Hope you get booked in soon. X
HJ82 · 02/07/2018 17:15
@Tigerlily99 I'm booked in for scan weds. They need to make sure that the lining is nice an thin before they start stims. Maybe your clinic is different? They are all so different! My friend just froze her eggs and she and I are the same age with same test results and she didn't need to down reg. They just started her on stims after her AF. She took norethisterone for 2 weeks before AF and that's it. They said they get the same results with short protocol as long so don't bother with long. Weird huh. She got 15 mature eggs.
Tigerlily99 · 02/07/2018 17:25
@HJ82- glad you have your scan booked! I’m doing a FET so perhaps things are slightly different? But when I did my fresh cycle it was the same as what you were describing with your friend. I think all the clinics have their own thoughts on what the protocols should involve and there’s no universal consensus. Makes it very confusing. X
LopeyLopez · 02/07/2018 20:42
@Viletta , that's nice to know that we have the same numbers! Hope your transfer went well. Mine is tomorrow; well, assuming everything is ok / any embryos are left!! My clinic just call you on day 1 and day 5, with nothing in between! She said on the phone they wouldn't even look at the embryos til tomorrow - not on day 3 even, nothing! So I am a bit scared as to what tomorrow will bring when they take them out of the oven...
People, you are right about every clinic being so different. I had my baseline scan on day 15: I had just ovulated and did wonder whether this would give a realistic / meaningful follicle going at such an "active" time in the cycle. Turned out it was a bit off as AFC was 9 but follicles apparent at EC were 12.
I also started short protocol on day 1 of bleeding and did not down reg at all...I hear of everyone taking all these drugs for weeks and wonder why mine was so quick by comparison?! I am not complaining: the whole thing has taken under 2.5 weeks!! Much easier.
Good luck @Beherenow32 and @ginandtonicformeplease in the tww: I hope to join you tomorrow! X
LopeyLopez · 03/07/2018 08:16
@tikha the long one is where you down reg first to sort of cancel out your natural cycle first and start from a blank canvas, as it were. You often need to take the pill for a while.
Short protocol is much shorter, like mine, and you go straight to stimulation without the down regging.
@Beherenow32 thanks. I wouldn't worry about the cramps; it's like @ginandtonicformeplease said: it's normal after all the trauma experienced recently by this area. Also I always get cramps and twinges on and off throughout my cycle and I have come to pretty much ignore them as they invariably mean nothing and are just normal!
