Hope it all goes well for you Wanab.
Fingers crossed it's a success 🤞🤞🤞

Bev10 · 11/11/2018 22:29

I have my baseline scan and scratch on Thursday.. not looking forward to it but it's another step closer so got to think of that!

Flwr3 · 11/11/2018 22:46

I start Stimms a week tomorrow - Good luck everyone! ☺️ X

crisps88 · 11/11/2018 23:58

Glad everyone is progressing on, hopefully ours will start taking form. We have our PIE a week Wednesday I am counting down the days and writing questions !

I am not sure what stages everyone is up to, I’m not familiar with them at the moment so hope all is going well!

Good luck everyone x

Bev10 · 12/11/2018 07:08

I'm due to start the injections a week on Friday so looks like we're on a very similar timeline. Good luck! X

Bev10 · 12/11/2018 07:17

Crisps88 i know it's so frustrating when waiting for it all to start but you're so close now x

wanab · 12/11/2018 07:40

@crisps88 you should only be a few weeks off now but it depends what the clinic does at Xmas. Mine is a frozen transfer and the dreaded 2ww. I have a friend of a friend down in Swindon transferring same day. :D

crisps88 · 12/11/2018 11:11

The consultant said to us that over Xmas they don’t have any movement on ivf so I’m expecting a good wait, it was 8 and a half weeks referral for this PIE so I’m hoping it may go through a little quicker after this.

I know it’s so hard isn’t it Sad

Brilliant news everyone is doing well I am so wishing everyone luck and fingers crossed !!!!

The two week wait sounds so hard, I bet that’ll be the worst time waiting everything in the balance.

Lots of luck girls xx

@Bev10 , @wanab @Flwr3

Hey everyone, sorry if I missed anyone just tagged most recents posters on the last page ! can I ask did anyone go on a specific diet or what alterations did you make to your lifestyle? And has anyone tried accupuncture? I’ve revently read Zita West fertility books one on diet one on assisted conception.

Thanks! X

wanab · 13/11/2018 08:18

I kept it simple and it's worked so far for me. Up to and on stimms I had at most one caffeine tea a day. I switched to decaf and caffeine free coke and added peppermint and lemon teas, pomegranate juice and lemonade, and ginger cordial primarily to mix it up a bit. I tried to up protein and had some pineapple Inc core which I think is a myth but couldn't hurt either. Took pregnacare preconception multivits. Xx

Bev10 · 13/11/2018 08:58

I've done a few things but nothing to drastic. I've cut out caffeine which was actually easier than I thought it would be! Just swapped my normal morning coffee for a decaf and drink herbal tea during the day. I also take the pregnacare preconception vitamins.
I tried to make more effort to eat as much fresh food as possible. I eat a lot of eggs, natutal plain yoghurt, berries, tomatoes, avocados and nuts.
I think it's best just to eat a varied diet and try not to stress too much about it. Be aware of hidden sugar and salt in foods that you don't make yourself.
Xx

crisps88 · 13/11/2018 12:41

Thanks girls. I think I’ve read this book and really panicked ! Im quite a yo yo dieter to be honest so I need to kick start a healthier lifestyle now. Plus protein yes the books say that is good. I’ve heard about the pineapple too!!

Has anyone else read about the MacDonald’s chips ?! There’s a big hype about them after you have a collection Apparently lol.

I think I might try the accupuncture someone I know recommended it. I just want to increase and maximise my chances in any possible I suppose, like us all.

How has work been with everyone, I’ve heard you do need a lot of time off unscheduled. I am yet to tell work until I have more knowledge of timings.

Xx

wanab · 13/11/2018 13:06

I think the fries are after transfer. Tradition perhaps though some say they said content can aid implantation. Acup8ncture is good for relaxation. If you'll stress about sticking to a diet don't change too much, but just increase the healthy stuff. Xx

Flwr3 · 13/11/2018 13:13

I completely cut out caffeine and alcohol and increased fruit and veg in addition to pregnancy vitamins, nothing too drastic at all. I have heard of the McDonald’s chips one too ☺️ Bev, I think we are on very similar timelines, only a week or so apart ☺️ X

Bev10 · 13/11/2018 14:53

@Flwr3 yes not long apart at all 😊
Did you take Norethisterone first? I'm still on that for a few more days.
How was the baseline scan and scratch if you don't mind me asking? I've got mine on Thursday. X
@crisps88 I haven't tried acupuncture but I have done a lot of mindfulness to keep calm and relaxed. I use the mindfulness for ivf app, it's really good. X

Flwr3 · 13/11/2018 16:27

Yes Bev, I took them and finish on Wednesday. I had the scratch last Thursday, it was a little uncomfortable but nothing to worry about, take a couple of paracetamol before ☺️ X

Bev10 · 13/11/2018 16:57

Thanks I will do that! X

crisps88 · 13/11/2018 17:52

crisps88 · 21/11/2018 22:42

Hope everyone’s well and profressing. How are you all doing?

We Had our PIE tonight , it was informative ! Awaiting our next appointment. Hope all is well x

wanab · 22/11/2018 12:23

Well OTD is Saturday. I had a panic my period was coming on Tuesday night after a few days of various cramps. So I caved and tested with a first response Wednesday morning which was day 8. The test was a few months out of date so not taking it as definite but it was a very very very faint positive! I’m not testing til Saturday now when i’ll do another out of date FR and a Tesco’s own to be sure. FR are more sensitive. The clinic tell you to use clear blue but i’m not buying more when I have 6 tests in the drawer so i’m conveniently forgetting that bit... absolutely no sign of period and no bleeding at all so I think i may be 4 weeks pregnant! 🙂🙏🏻😍🙂🤞🙂.

With PCO the risk of miscarriage is higher so i’m taking one stage at a time. But for now i’m so relieved to ‘know’ my body can at least accept and begin to develop an embryo once it’s in there... and on a basic level I had confirmed ovulation. I know with PCOS and ivf the chance of miscarriage can be twice as high. But not quite sure how much higher it is with just PCO. So for now I will see what Saturday brings then look ahead to the viability scan. Xxx fingers crossed for all of you.

Flwr3 · 22/11/2018 13:33

I have everything crossed for you 🤞☺️ xxx

Bev10 · 22/11/2018 18:05

wanab · 29/11/2018 10:39

Just realised i hadn't updated. Sadly it was a confirmed chemical miscarriage. :(

wanab · 29/11/2018 10:40

.. I started spotting day before otd and then bleeding on otd.
