Yeah, this last week I’ve been waddling. Pretty sore now. Today I’ve done nothing but the pain of surgery has gone down a bit, so mainly the bloating etc at the moment. Been taking cocodamol.

IcanMooCanYou · 10/09/2018 22:10

Any news on your embryos?

wanab · 10/09/2018 23:14

Hi, thanks for asking. I’m useless at remembering who i need to update being in so many groups etc. I still have 19 or 20 going strong on day 3!! I’m shocked! They said it’s more than they would expect so made up! Just to wait for Thursday now... xx

wanab · 13/09/2018 16:25

Oh wow! Just had numbers. I had to chase them up! 18 Frosties! 😮😮😮🤯

wanab · 04/10/2018 11:30

@IcanMooCanYou how did you get on? X

Ohluckyme · 04/10/2018 13:46

Hope you got on ok x

wanab · 05/10/2018 08:09

I’m still waiting for my FET. Appointment to get protocol on 16th.

IcanMooCanYou · 07/10/2018 16:10

Hi. First FET was BFN. Just had second one today- very eerily quiet in The Countess - we were the only ones in the IVI clinic the entire time.

Hope things get going for you on 16th. Mine haven't been medicated so just gone on natural cycles but that wait to start seem to take forever for them to agree my ovaries weren't still swollen after egg collection. Hope it all goes well. X

wanab · 08/10/2018 13:45

Sorry hun... hope this one works for you! Just want to get on with it. I can deal with either result but it’s effectively not knowing at the moment whether it’s successful (although obviously i haven’t actually had the transfer yet.)

Hi Guys, I’m just looking for some advice or some support really. I suffer with Endometriosis and have had several Laps to have this treated, ive just had yet another op Monday and to be woken up to the news the have taken my Fallopian Tubes and our only option for a baby is through IVF. I’m looking into doing this at the Countess of Chester and I’m waiting for a letter/referral from the IVF clinic. I’ve not started anything yet nor have I any clue on how long this process takes and what it entails. It says on my discharge letter “patient to have ivf while In PIE in November” I’ve not had any bloods done yet or anything. Feel like my worlds been crumbled apart, I’ve wanted nothing more than a baby for years and to be woken up to such news has broken my heart. Any one waiting or starting IVF? Or in the same position as me I would love to chat and get some advice and support 😘

wanab · 12/10/2018 00:01

Hi MissJenJen. I’m just waiting for a frozen transfer now. If there’s anything you want to ask feel free. Also if you are on facebook there’s a closed group called ivf support uk, or ivf ICSI support uk. On facebook I also have a personal message chat group for IVi chester with people at varying stages. I think everyone is almost at stimms now or further on though. It’s not an easy process, but for me it’s given me hope after trying unsuccessfully for at leas 7 years. Xx

wanab · 12/10/2018 00:02

Oh and once testing done it’s only about 3 months wait at chester. X

Flwr3 · 12/10/2018 12:17

Hi all, it’s so nice to find a group of people all in the same boat ☺️ I’ve just started the ivf process at Countess Chester. I’ve had all the bloods/ scans etc done and need to call on the first day of my period to arrange an appointment for a scratch. Does anybody know how long it takes to start Stimms after this point? MissJenJen, I’m very early on, but if I can answer any questions, please let me know ☺️X

wanab · 12/10/2018 13:11

Flwr3 are you short antagonist protocol with norethisterone? If so you will be on that about ten days, have a five day break to bleed then start stimms providing you have bled. Excited for you! Nearly there! I had the scratch and injection teach mid way through norethisterone.

Flwr3 · 12/10/2018 16:10

Hi Wanab, thank you ☺️ I haven’t started any medication yet and haven’t been told about my protocol as of yet. I have very high AMH, I’m not sure if that has anything to do with what protocol I will be put on? X

Mrsw08 · 12/10/2018 19:42

Hi, I have also been referred by prof Kingsland at RPH to Chester for IVF. How long did you have to wait for first appointment? X

MissJenJen · 12/10/2018 19:55

Hey guys :-) Thanks for all your advice! I had a call today from the fertility nurse and we are having our PIE next month and I’ve my appt for my first bloods. Got handed a lot of information and it seems so surreal! The nurse told me today what happens at PIE and what it intails. I’ve been reading a lot into the process I can’t believe it’s actually happening. Has anyone got any advice on what I should expect at PIE? Xx

wanab · 12/10/2018 20:21

@Flwr3 tbh I think they generally do short protocol. What is your amh? Mine was 68.2 with pco. I think they will probably just start on a low dose. I guess they will sort the medication when you ring on day one if you haven’t any appointments before then. They can literally deliver it the next day.

@Mrsw08 have you all had the tests? If so I think the first one will be an info eve within about a month.

@MissJenJen i’m afraid I don’t know what PIE is.. good luck!

MissJenJen · 12/10/2018 20:23

I think it’s about the first meeting you attend with other couples and you have a lot of forms to complete al legal stuff etc xx

Flwr3 · 12/10/2018 20:31

So sorry MissJenJen, I’m not sure what PIE is so can’t help with that one. Mrsw08, following my referral to Chester, both my invite to the patient info evening and first consultation came around really quickly, was just over a month ☺️ X

Flwr3 · 12/10/2018 20:34

Thank you Wanab. I’m not sure of the exact number for my AMH, I didn’t ask and they didn’t give exact figures, just said it was exceptionally high. I will ask at my next appointment ☺️ I don’t have any appointment scheduled before the day 1 phone call x

wanab · 12/10/2018 21:13

Ah yes, @MissJenJen couldn’t think that it stood for! It’s a couple of hours at most and they just go through all the ins and outs of ivf and risks, average success rates and science bits. Plus give you all the forms. If you still need to have all the tests it may be a few weeks or so before you start after the PIE as some are timing specific. If you’ve had most you will probably just have 2 appointments before starting stims.

Mrsw08 · 12/10/2018 21:37

@wanab Yes we’ve had all our tests done recently so hopefully won’t need these repeating. I hate not knowing what to expect or when so this is really helpful. Thankyou x

MissJenJen · 12/10/2018 22:01

It’s the patient information event
