ivi chester

Anyone any experiences of treatment at ivi chester? Just been referred for IVF there. Told i should have first appointment within 6 weeks!!! Would be great to chat to anyone who's having/had their IVF there too!

We decided we were one and very happily done so we donated the rest of our embryos to other families.

@wanab did you, thats gorgeous. we have 3 frosties in Chester and can't decide what to do with them. what a lovely thing to do, did you find the process straight forward to donate ? thanks xx

Hi @crisps88. it was a lot of phone calls and forms but we knew we were done so wanted to close the TTC chapter. 😘

@crisps88 wow! Congratulations on conceiving naturally, wonderful news! The doctors told me to be careful after having my boy incase we get lucky, we'll see if that happens!
I've just been reading through this thread whilst sitting in a coffee shop with my boy in the pram, it still feels like a dream that we got our miracle! I can't believe where the years have gone!

@PennyBC26 we had 12 left so potentially have helped 3 families :D. The years sure have flown by. Applied for primary schools this week 🙀

Oh wow, I hope you get your choice of primary school. I'll be going back to work in June so need to think about nursery, don't want to hand my baby over! x

So nice to see this pop up 😊. You pop into my head every now and then @wanab as I always remember your journey, with all your embryo yet still a hell of a journey.

I often wonder what I would have done had we had embryos left. We are so incredibly lucky that we had 4 embryos and 2 baby boys from transfer 2 and 4. Would we have donated? Would we have transfered another? I feel quite lucky that we never needed to make a decision on embryos left as I imagine it must be a hard choice. So pleased for the choice you made ♥️.

I also often think of the fact that it was Mr Wood who implanted our 2 successful embryos and others who did the failed transfers... Maybe something in his technique??? 😂

I’m so pleased you had two successes and didn’t have to make any tough choices. I always thought I’d have two children (before all the issues), but when we had Lizzie, we decided that a) we didn’t want to go through it all again with no promises of success and of course the cost, and b) we were very happy with just her. She’s generally a very lovely, sociable and confident child and we count ourselves very lucky. She is well worth the rollercoaster of IVF and years of trying.

Until she was around 3 we co slept and couldn’t get her to settle in the bed on her own, so had no time to ourselves, but things have been easier in the last year since we finally got her sleeping in her own bed and going to bed around 7.30.

We are a bit worn out at the moment with general seasonal bugs alongside a difficult stage for L of slapping in a bid to get her own way and she is having difficulty expressing her emotions in a healthy way, but it’s just another phase of development and hopefully she’ll be out of it soon 🫣.
