Hi all, how are you all doing?

I had my 5th transfer yesterday of a lovely hatching blastocyst, on my husbands birthday. Have added on clexane (a blood thinner) and steroids. Throwing everything at it this time. Anybody had good news? I will read back through the posts as haven’t been on here in a while. They haven’t been popping up in my inbox for some reason.

Vicki2411 · 12/03/2020 09:44

@wanab got everything crossed for you, I am there this afternoon for consent form updates and swab and then scan on Monday and test for ovulation then hopefully 6 days after ovulation FET xxxx

wanab · 12/03/2020 09:55

Oo not long now @Vicki2411! Good luck!

wanab · 12/03/2020 09:56

I test Mother’s Day officially! 😆

PennyBC26 · 12/03/2020 10:02

@wanab Wishing you luck! Unfortunately it was a BFN for me. Going today for my follow up appointment and armed with questions. I'm going to mention steroids and clexane but I will have to prep for another egg collection first. Sending you lots of luck @Vicki2411 too! xxx

wanab · 12/03/2020 10:14

Hope they are able to give you encouragement, and options. It was Mr Wood who suggested it to me, so see what they say. I can’t remember how many transfers you have had, but they may suggest the ERA test first. Xxx

Vicki2411 · 12/03/2020 10:26

Fingers crossed for us all, hope you get the answers you want @PennyBC26 ❤🤞xxx

wanab · 12/03/2020 10:34

Sorry @PennyBC26. Just read that you already had ERA. They may well suggest the clexane etc this time round then. 🤞x

PennyBC26 · 12/03/2020 15:20

Thank you! They have suggested that my husband had Myoxis to test the oxidants in his sperm. He doesn't have any issues with spent but this test looks at it in detail. Also suggested having a multi cycle where you have two egg collections close to each other and this tends about 9 weeks. They suggested PGTA testing to see if there are any abnormalities which is why they aren't implanting. Also suggested the use of embryo glue so lots to think about!xx

PennyBC26 · 10/05/2020 14:22

Hi all, hope you are keeping safe and well! How is everyone doing?xx

Vicki2411 · 10/05/2020 19:41

Hi @PennyBC26 I am good, how are you? Hope you are safe too, we are hoping to start treatment again soon after it being cancelled 5 days prior to implant, What about you? xxxx

PennyBC26 · 10/05/2020 20:03

Hi @Vicki2411 That's exciting that you are starting soon! Will you be preparing for an egg collection or transfer? I'm ok thank you, I need to focus on healthy eating, since lockdown I've over indulged and drank way too much! I am hoping to start preparing for an egg collection soon xx

Vicki2411 · 10/05/2020 20:10

No egg collection just transfer, good luck, keep me updated xxx

wanab · 10/05/2020 21:16

Hi all.

Have you all heard from the clinic or followed Care fertility’s Instagram posts?
HFEA have given clinics permission to apply to reopen from tomorrow. From what Care on the whole have said frozen transfers will be a priority as they are less invasive and easier to do while distancing (to an extent), and also current patients will be prioritised as they mostly will have had the tests required or already have a plan in place. I think there will be basic health checks such as temperature taken at appointments for their and our safety but that’s speculation. They will obviously wear more PPE too.

I had a call a few days after having my period late April and was told to only have protected sex from then. If they reopen promptly and can do my drugs appointment before day 21 I could potentially start in a few weeks, but most likely will have to wait until next period to start again.

Good to hear from you all.
X

PennyBC26 · 10/05/2020 21:51

@Vicki2411 Good luck for your transfer! @wanab Yes, I had a call to say that my husband could have his Myoxis test next week and that things would be up and running soon. Thank goodness! Have any of you had the PGTA screening of your embryos? xx

wanab · 11/05/2020 00:14

They suggested it to me again this time. However mr wood previously had pretty much said it would be pot luck at this stage, and as I had one that did implant I will keep transferring them for now. I think there’s 10% off if you do it during lockdown I.e ASAP. However I would consider it if I got down to my last few I think to save heartache. It’s £1080 + £295 per embryo.

Vicki2411 · 11/05/2020 07:12

@wanab I had a call to discuss a frozen stimulated cycle, I rang on day 1 this month and was told that they are applying today and hopefully will know by Friday and to call again next Monday or Tuesday to see if they have the go ahead xxx

wanab · 11/05/2020 09:03

Great, I will ring then too if I haven’t heard. 🙂

Matilda128 · 11/05/2020 10:32

I missed so much news on this thread. I hope everyone is doing ok. Flowers My cycle was cancelled on the day of the baseline scan- I was completely devastated. I didn't hear anything from the clinic so I emailed them last week. Because I miss day 16 of my current cycle, it will be at least the end of June before I can start again. I was hoping they may do IVF without Norethisterone to catch up but they definitely won't. With the disaster of my last attempt back in January, I feel it will be a waste of time and money to try again. I'm trying to keep positive but I'm really struggling. I hope everyone can get started soon xxx

wanab · 12/05/2020 16:19

Yay, clinic have had the go ahead to reopen and I can get my drugs for Friday which is when I would need to start them. Handy not being in work just yet! 😍

Matilda128 · 12/05/2020 17:00

Wow @wanab that is brilliant news! I've been checking all day for news but couldn't find anything. How did you find out? Did they call you?

wanab · 12/05/2020 19:14

Yes cos I listened to Care fertility q and a and they said to someone who asked that they potentially could get drugs by Friday if hey get permission to reopen, and to contact their clinic. So I contacted ours.

Matilda128 · 12/05/2020 19:32

I tried to listen to that but couldn't access it on Instagram. That's great! Thanks for letting me know @wanab
