Hi ladies, just wondering if any of you had been offered/had care maps? It's a time lapse imaging thing to track embryos. We are thinking of not having the PGS and maybe going for the care maps instead...thoughts?xxx

wanab · 18/07/2020 20:24

In honesty it doesnt sound any different to the embryoscope that was included to me. I didnt have to decide as it was FET. I did have to pay for the embryoglue though.

PennyBC26 · 18/07/2020 22:32

@wanab Thanks for the info. I was thinking of the embryo glue, did you do that this time?xx

PennyBC26 · 18/07/2020 22:32

@wanab Thanks for the info. I was thinking of the embryo glue, did you do that this time?xx

wanab · 18/07/2020 23:13

Yes I’ve had it included on all my other rounds but had to pay this time.

PennyBC26 · 19/07/2020 09:32

@wanab Thanks. The multi cycle is costing us around 18K....and that's without transfers! I just want to make sure that we do everything we can as this is our last go!xx

Hi everyone. I haven't managed to scroll back too far yet but just after some advice. We are just researching clinics. Currently unexplained infertility. We were planning on going with hewitt fertility clinic after it was recommended by friends but they have a longer wait than care. We would be privately funded. Would you recommend care? Xx

wanab · 31/07/2020 19:23

It's been great for me on nhs. I did get more included for free before they became Care but if you are funding anyway that's irrelevant and the staff are all lovely. I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant for the second time following a MC last year. X

Whilstwewait · 02/08/2020 14:49

@wanab thank you. Glad you had a good experience and congratulations on your pregnancy xx

wanab · 28/10/2020 21:30

How is everyone getting on? @PennyBC26..?x

PennyBC26 · 28/10/2020 21:35

Thanks @wanab I literally had my third egg collection today as part of the trio stim...3 egg collections in 7 weeks! We have four embryos in the freezer and we got four eggs today...just hoping one or two make it to the freezer from that 🤞How are you doing? xx

ivfjourney5 · 28/10/2020 21:57

I had treatment cancelled today due to a covid outbreak amongst the staff 😩

wanab · 28/10/2020 22:08

Excellent! I'm doing well thanks. I'm 22 weeks on Friday with a little girl!

wanab · 28/10/2020 22:13

@ivfjourney5 how far into treatment were you? Xx

PennyBC26 · 29/10/2020 08:32

That's amazing @wanab a little girl! 😍 I'm so happy for you, I love stories like this, it gives me so much hope! Did you have a natural or medicated transfer? @ivfjourney5 So sorry to hear that your treatment has been cancelled. We arrived at the clinic and we were told to wait in our car as they weren't sure if our egg collections was going to go ahead because of the member of staff that tested positive. I hope you are ok xx

ivfjourney5 · 29/10/2020 09:10

I was day 23 of oestrogen, meant to have a scan today to see if I could move onto progesterone for transfer next week 😢 I had my FET cancelled last month as well and it's just devastating
@PennyBC26 have they said whether you are having a fresh transfer or if it's cancelled?

PennyBC26 · 29/10/2020 09:17

@ivfjourney5 You must be so disappointed! Was it cancelled last month due to Covid also? I did a multi cycle so we would be having a frozen transfer anyway, but I did hear that they wouldn't be doing any fresh transfers and that all procedures taking place that day would be frozen. Have they said when you can start again? I hope they are covering the costs of the meds if you are paying for them xx

ivfjourney5 · 29/10/2020 09:25

@PennyBC26 I'm glad it hasn't affected you then! They couldn't give me any dates about reopening, just to stop all meds as of yesterday and wait it out basically 😒 It's heartbreaking, I was so close to finally having a transfer. It was cancelled last month due to poor lining, there was a chance it would have been cancelled today due to poor lining again, but also a chance my lining was okay, now I'll never know 😔 I'm fortunate to be NHS but I have enough meds to start again from the beginning in the cupboard anyway
