"on mumsnet this week" in the Mail. Is this a new thing

jujumaman · 13/08/2009 10:32

Came across this this morning when I should have been working

Is this a new weekly rip-off by the Mail? Or has it been going on for months and I'm behind the times as usual

I'm not quite as virulently anti the Mail as mnetters, find it silly rather than the end of civilisation as we know it. But still ...

Lovebetrayal - well they obviously are otherwise why would they print it??

FluffySaysTheDailyMailsCrap · 13/08/2009 22:55

You're hardly abiding by your copyright notices if you leave this though Justine. Publicity is one thing, integrity is another.

AitchTwoOh · 13/08/2009 22:55

at the risk of provoking a hillary-style slap down, what did dh say about it, justine? it's not exactly professional behaviour i'd have thought.

HeahLardy · 13/08/2009 22:55

Swedes - deeply unpleasant?? Ah, in what way?

AitchTwoOh · 13/08/2009 22:56

well let the woman speak to her lawyer, for goodness sakes. give her a break.

Merrylegs · 13/08/2009 22:56

Loving your work, lovebetrayal.

See that point?

You missed it.

differentID · 13/08/2009 22:56

Can you please firebomb the DM offices get them to withdarw this section. There are real concerns about posters safety and wellbeing and tbh If I saw that a forum I was considering was having chunks of convos in a rag like the Mail everyweek, then I would not join up.

TheWiltedRose · 13/08/2009 22:56

Justine your copyright paragraphs clearly state that tthis is not allowed to happen so why do you feel you are powerless tto act?

HeahLardy · 13/08/2009 22:56

Yes, I know she came back under a new name - very identifiable style...

FluffySaysTheDailyMailsCrap · 13/08/2009 22:58

There have been a few people go and return under a new name though. You have to narrow it down so we can make those voodoo dolls a little more accurate.

HeahLardy · 13/08/2009 22:59

Bullied was wrong term - more that it was presented as a fait accompli and "there ain't nothing you can do about it" kind of thing.

morningpaper · 13/08/2009 22:59

I really need to go to bed

I am sitting here naked

I just put my boob in my cup of camomile tea to see if it would fit

BitOfFun · 13/08/2009 22:59

I think there is something in what Lovebetrayal is saying though- surely it is rather precious of people to flounce over this? Why not debate it here and air the issues? Perhaps something positive can be achieved. If people just strop off on their high horses then the Mail have deprived us all.

fishie · 13/08/2009 23:01

what happened to the tea mp?

TheWiltedRose · 13/08/2009 23:02

Is now closed]

AitchTwoOh · 13/08/2009 23:02

only a couple of people have mentioned leaving. as to debating the issue, what's the point? the mail doesn't answer to us.

Thunderduck · 13/08/2009 23:03

Did it fit?

FluffySaysTheDailyMailsCrap · 13/08/2009 23:03

That's because all we do is bitch about it Aitch

differentID · 13/08/2009 23:04

here is another group

fishie · 13/08/2009 23:04

the new closed bits of mn will provide sanctuary i hope.

scottishmummy · 13/08/2009 23:05

lovebetrayal is onto something the high octane outbursts and proclamations of deregistering. sometimews MN can come across bit navel gazing and histrionic

B-R-E-A-T-H-E dont throw the rattle out the pram

maybe DM readers don't give a flying fuck about MN

maybe we shouldn't give flying fuck about them

Swedes · 13/08/2009 23:05

It's been a long night. I'm off to bed. Night all.

morningpaper · 13/08/2009 23:05

Yah it fit

I had DRUNK the tea, obviously

FluffySaysTheDailyMailsCrap · 13/08/2009 23:06
