Like most people, I'm heartily sick of being made to feel poor and inadequate by celebrities parading their wonderful sex lives, enviable material wealth and aspirational lifestyles all over the media.

GR was in the Times just last week, posing with his family in the very epitome of middle class luxe, looking smugger than the proverbial bug in a rug.

He chooses to use his family life as a promotional tool. Yes, he is a chef, not a marriage guidance counsellor. So why the need to hear toe curling details of his relationship with his wife, or see pictures of his gorgeous and priveliged kids playing in their multi million pound home?

I'm all for a dose of reality to make us all realise that this celeb lifestyle is a crock of shit and that we're all in the same boat relationship wise whether we're rich or poor, just doing the best we can with what we have.

As for Virginia Ironsides advice in last night's Indie, I feel sick. She told Tana to stand by her man, because she 'wouldn't find another Gordon'. She also poured scorn on the other woman without saying a word of censure about the actual villain of this piece. What decade are we living in!!! I hope Tana does what she feels is right, and if that means ending her marriage then fair play to her, and of course to her kids, who didn't ask for or have any say in any of this.

I already know more about the Ramsays' sex life than I do about that of nearly all of my most intimate friends.
