The OW looks hard as nails, has written a book on being a 'professional mistress'. Just why am I not surprised? Hailed as celebrity family of the year. What a joke. Poor Tana, hope she gets her pound of flesh out of him.

Just what does a man need? A beautiful wife, 4 lovely, healthy kids, a thriving business empire, money galore...and throwing it all away for a serial mistress that looks cold as ice and calculating.

Makes you depressed, doesn't it?

beeny · 24/11/2008 21:47

I dont have the time management skills to have an affair.

morningpaper · 24/11/2008 21:48

you need a lot of money to do it properly

educatingRia · 24/11/2008 21:50

I expect a lot of effort is required.

beeny · 24/11/2008 21:50

I would need someone to organise my affair.I think doing Tesco on line is clever!

squeaver · 24/11/2008 21:55

Thanks mp.

wannaBe · 24/11/2008 22:01

, I was in the news of the world once. When I was a child...

traceybath · 24/11/2008 22:12

ooooh why? am guessing nothing too shocking as you were a child

wannaBe · 24/11/2008 22:21

It was all to do with a murder. When i was 6 my dad went out to work in Saudi Arabia. The money was good so basically he went out there on a couple of contracts. Anyway while he was out there one of the bosses of the company he was working for was murdered one night. The authorities responded by taking away the passports of all the foreign nationals working on that particular sight. They were stuck out there for 9 months. The foreign office and everything were involved.

Anyway one of the wives went to the news of the world with all the details, including the names of the other wives and children left at home waiting for news.

It was all hidiously sensationalist. While they were out there someone on the camp was caught with alcohol and spent some time in jail. But the paper reported it as that he'd been locked in a cage 4 ft by 4ft and was being fed bananas through the bars!

But when he eventually came home we had the press turning up at the door to take pictures and everything.

They never did catch the guy who did it.

traceybath · 24/11/2008 22:27

Blimey - goes to show how newspapers work though in terms of embellishing stories.

Ico · 25/11/2008 10:40

Is this a suprise? I thought his womanising was common knowledge?

MadameCastafiore · 25/11/2008 10:43

Ooohhh I hope Tana finds some baby shit somewhere and smears it all over his wipes - apparebtly he never changed one of their kids nappies - that would have had me scarpering he wouldn't have had to have an affair!

Ico · 25/11/2008 11:29

With an ego that size it doesn;t suprise me. Though I doubt she didn't know he was a shagger.

Gunnerbean · 25/11/2008 18:53

No, this story has othing to do with Jamie and Jools Oliver but I thought that it was relevant in that GR portrays himself through the media as a family man (just as Jamie does).

I don't expect Tana ever imagined this and could perhaps last week felt herself aly justified to make the same comment as Jools...

I think that anyone who comes out and makes an unequivocal statement that their DH/DP would never cheat on them is a mug. With the best will in the world and the ostensibly most devoted, loyal and loving partner, can say this with any real degree of certainty because no one knows what is around the corner or what life holds in store for them.

You could perhaps add the caveat that you truly believe they wouldn't and hope that you're not proved wrong.

Anyone who says something like that is just waiting to have egg splattered on their face as far as I'm concerned.

So, I hope some of you will see the connection I made to this story.

mabanana · 25/11/2008 18:59

Part of me feels that I've been forcefed the details of the Ramsays' sex life for so long, that they can't really complain when someone else sees fit to fill us in with just a bit more. FFS this morning I flicked through a free local parenting mag and there was Tana saying how much she lurved Gordon's Christmas presents to her, particularly his taste in underwear (nudge, nudge, say no more) - put it away love! Or revealing how they get a nanny so they can have a Sunday morning shag-a-thon. If you want to claim your sex life is private, this isn't really the way to do it.
Julie Burchill is very funny on the subject of feeling stalked by celebrities, desperate to tell us all sorts of deeply inappropriate details of their lives.

anyfucker · 25/11/2008 19:19

mabanana, do you have any julie birchill links ?

who does she write for ?

sounds like my sort of reading

whomovedmychocolate · 25/11/2008 21:07

I'd need at least six weeks notice to have an affair - would take me that long to find time to shave my legs and find my lippie

beeny · 25/11/2008 21:09

Exactly not the morals but cldnt time manage everything. Will someone tell me about Phil Vickery.

Grabshelldude · 25/11/2008 21:16

beeny, don't think there is any Phil Vickery gossip. Wannabe mentioned it but she couldn't find the link. Think Fern would have his knackers toasted anyway if it were true.

beeny · 25/11/2008 21:17

Thanks Grabs but am not convinced Fern is half the woman she used to be.

LittleBella · 25/11/2008 21:23

LOL at him being a "shagger"

Is this the correct term for it then?

LittleBella · 25/11/2008 21:23

Yes JB is v. funny on the subject of celeb stalkers. PMSL at that article.

mabanana · 25/11/2008 22:22

If Madonna didn't devote her life to harassing us, what would she do with herself all day? Remember, this is a woman with so much time on her hands that she can spend four hours a day working out. I know I'm fat, but I have to say that if I spent four hours a day working out, I'd want to look a damn sight hotter than Madonna does; those vile veiny hands, that sad stringy neck - yuck! Liz MacDonald off Corrie looks 10 times better.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating: despite the received wisdom of the poor little Star - a Very Private Person - desperately attempting to go through life minding their own business while being stalked mercilessly by press, paparazzi and sad fans who need to Get A Life, it very often seems to me that it is we, the public, who are actually stalked by the stars. And to the most extreme extent. I've never to my knowledge shown Madonna my vagina, for instance, but she's certainly shown me - and countless others - hers, in that vile book SEX.

Visions of that greasy muff, which one could easily have fried an egg on without benefit of oil, haunt me till this very day. But if a 'civilian' goes around showing their genitals, they're arrested!

feature which also includes a lot of bizarre fan stuff about Any Winehouse

anyfucker · 25/11/2008 22:48

cheers mabanana
