I just recieved an email containing all of the BNP members list, complete with phone numbers and address.

The story has been reported in the press online today:
here

Not sure what to do with it - teacher and a policewoman are on the list but kids are too.

OP posts:

PMSL - just perusing the list for ones local to me - and found a "Mr Pratt" (no kidding )

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 19/11/2008 00:33

oh flipping marvelous.........on listed as an "activist" on the same street that exH has just rented a house on...........(he's black)

NotanOtterOHappyDay · 19/11/2008 00:43

the list is gone

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 19/11/2008 00:48

nope still available at bnpmemberlist.co.uk

Blu · 19/11/2008 00:51

It will have been copied.
And will re-appear as long as anyone wants it to, presumably.

LOL at contravention of law they wanted repealed!

But think it not right, all the same.

nametaken · 19/11/2008 00:53

Why should BNP members be anonomous though, I mean, you can hardly hide the fact that you're black can you?

twinsetandpearls · 19/11/2008 00:53

I can see quite a few families from kids I used to teach, including one family whose mother screamed down the phone at me after her son had assaulted me.

twinsetandpearls · 19/11/2008 00:57

This hotel looks an interesting place to stay to find out about the BNP allegedly.

twinsetandpearls · 19/11/2008 00:58

The dad of a close school friend is listed.

ToThrottleABlackBird · 19/11/2008 01:09

None of these bloody links are working now

TinkerBellesMum · 19/11/2008 01:27

There are people on that list who live in Small Heath, Sparkbrook, Alum Rock and Moseley, it's the middle of some of the highest ethnic minority populations in Birmingham! Yeesk!

I wonder how people on this list cope living in The Rock because it's a no go area for whites after a certain time.

TinkerBellesMum · 19/11/2008 01:29

lol:

"Resigned 02/06/04. Was 14469 (04). Will not be renewing 07 (unhappy with his reception within the Party - reports not published, etc.)
Journalist"

ToThrottleABlackBird · 19/11/2008 01:50

Sooooo, has anyone a copy?

blinks · 19/11/2008 01:55

it's on wikileaks...

Tortington · 19/11/2008 02:18

i don't understand mumnset.

a thread alluding to the fact that the murderer of baby p should be in gen pop and"get what he deserves"

is met with hearfelt disdain, and many 'how very dare you'

yet the addresses and pohone numbers of these people are there for the world to see.

and you don't think they will be abused for their views.

I seriously do not understand why everyone is sat laughing and rubbing their hands here

ToThrottleABlackBird · 19/11/2008 02:24

Oh I am not sat here laughing.

I am very against the bnp but, I do believe everyone has the right to their own opnion.

Cashncarry · 19/11/2008 02:28

Have actually reported Notanotter's post (sorry NOA) because am a little concerned that it may get MN into trouble despite the info already being in the public domain. Just worried in case it turns into a "she who must not be named" fiasco...

Can sort of understand why people want to know whether or not people they know are BNP members BUT what difference will it really make? Feels a bit voyeuristic tbh and not in the spirit of a healthy debate. I seem to spend more and more of my time trying to avoid these kind of views that I'm at a loss as to why one would actively seek them out - would be interesting to know what you intend to say to the people that you "discover"?

twinsetandpearls · 19/11/2008 08:09

I think the fact that Nick Griffin is describing the publication of the list as shameful points to the fact that he knows being a member of this group is shameful and immoral.

I am am member of the labour party and would have no problem with my details being released.

Maybe if people realise their names have been made public and that they feel embaressed or ashamed they will reflect on why that is.

I used to work with a teacher who boasted about the fact he voted for the BNP, I was most relieved when he left the school and even more relieved when I found out that he had left teaching alltogether.

If I was a headteacher and knew that a member of my staff wasa member of the BNP I would actively try to get rid of them.

twinsetandpearls · 19/11/2008 08:11

Just heard that you cannot be a police officer or prison wardem and be a member so they face loosing their job. Do we think the same should apply to teachers?

twinsetandpearls · 19/11/2008 08:14

An ex tory councillor on there as well.

twinsetandpearls · 19/11/2008 08:16

But to be fair ex labour candidate as well

PuzzleRocks · 19/11/2008 08:17

My feelings exactly Custardo, you can't pick and choose when to apply your principles.

PuzzleRocks · 19/11/2008 08:19

Caveat: I loathe the BNP.

twinsetandpearls · 19/11/2008 08:20

Slightly concerned at what you have to do to earn a gold badge.

I would end any friendship or contact with anyone I knew socially on the list, luckily there isn't apart from a friends dad.

I am not calling for anyone to be hung drawn and quartered, would like to see a few loose their jobs.

moonmother · 19/11/2008 08:21

Answering the OP post -what should I do with it...I would delete it...the police are looking into this...

Personally I wouldn't want this filth on my computer.
