I just recieved an email containing all of the BNP members list, complete with phone numbers and address.

The story has been reported in the press online today:
here

Not sure what to do with it - teacher and a policewoman are on the list but kids are too.

I haven't spotted anyone I know yet. Doubt I will tbh.

MorocconOil · 18/11/2008 21:42

Serves them right for supporting such a vile organization.

Firstly, this may well be a hoax. Secondly, people have the right to belong to a non-banned political party, no matter how unpleasant the aims and ideas of that party, without being harrassed for their fuckwit views. Of course, people who commit illegal acts of assault, criminal damage and harassment should be charged and prosecuted, but having opinions is not a crime.

policywonk · 18/11/2008 21:47

Isn't this the same issue as the thread earlier on on which someone said she'd been texted the names of Baby P's abusers?

BNP isn't a proscribed organisation. Ditch it and move on, I'd say.

MorocconOil · 18/11/2008 21:50

They're not really fuckwit views though are they? They are very dangerous views that appeal to naive, ill-informed people especially during periods of economic decline. The party has also has a veneer of respect which is very worrying.

noonki · 18/11/2008 21:54

but solidbrass the BNP has been such an intimidating force around where I live. They don't just express opinions unfortunatley.

I hope that the policewomen is named and shamed and loses her job as she does not deserve to serve the British public if she only views certain members of the public as truely british.

If it's a hoax, there are definitely real addresses on there.

And whilst I do agree with sgb about opinions not being a crime, am I wrong to feel "ha ha ha!" that they've been outed?

Depends of course what comes out of it. Vigilantism against BNP members?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 18/11/2008 21:55

A reverend and a BFPO address, on a random perusal of the lists.

noonki · 18/11/2008 21:57

what's a BFPO?

nauseous · 18/11/2008 21:58
