I've just seen the video. It's absolutely disgusting. Made me feel sick!

Nomorecoconutboosts · 24/07/2024 21:00

I saw it by accident on twitter it’s very violent plus lots of noise and I think a taser as well. Very difficult to see how violence like that could possibly be justified.
The clip I saw was a man kicked brutally in his head by police whilst already lying still on the floor and not threatening or anything like that.

All looks completely out of control

Context is everything, not that I'm condoning it.

Mrsmounjaro · 24/07/2024 21:09

Fuck around, find out (especially with airport police)

Charlie2121 · 24/07/2024 21:11

There are times when significant force is required. The general weakness of our police force has led to numerous issues.

If I’m at an airport and people are acting in a threatening manner I want them dealt with harshly.

I’m often critical of the police but in this case when you view the extended clip in full I’m fully in support of their actions.

toolate2 · 24/07/2024 21:15

tasar, yes but you don’t kick someone in the head.

usernamerequiredplease · 24/07/2024 21:20

A female officer got her nose broken!

Areolaborealis · 24/07/2024 21:22

If the guy had his finger on a button about to detonate a bomb then maybe this force would be justified, but here it seems excessive since he was face down on the ground already. Looks like the guy said something and officer lost control.

ILoveYourLittleHat · 24/07/2024 21:23

Either you don't understand the brain damage that can be caused by that - in which case you shouldn't be in a position to inflict it - or he knew and chose to do it anyway.

usernamerequiredplease · 24/07/2024 21:25

The men involved violently abused 3 officers. Sounds like they deserved some robust policing

Peterbeardwy · 24/07/2024 21:25

Don’t assault women
Don’t assault armed officers
Dont fuck about in airports

socks1107 · 24/07/2024 21:28

The lead up is context but not sure anyone in authority should be kicking a man in the head when he's already down on the ground

Do two wrongs make a right? Are we seriously saying he should be kicked in the head in retaliation? Christ. I'm sure there are better ways to deal with criminals.

RookieMa · 24/07/2024 21:30

It's shown completely out of context as per usual

The suspect was v v violent prior to the video

The police were armed and had to react in such a way the suspect could not get hold of their firearms

Before people post do some background research first

RookieMa · 24/07/2024 21:31

Context people context

Peterbeardwy · 24/07/2024 21:32

If it stops an already violent man grabbing an officer’s gun and using it on members of the public in a busy airport then I seriously don’t give a fuck

Anewuser · 24/07/2024 21:32

That copper lost his temper. Obviously, awful events had already taken place but this suspect was already incapacitated so those kicks were unnecessary.

Cadela · 24/07/2024 21:32

Kicking someone in the head is not robust policing. For fucks sake the people on here need to stop being such wet bootlickers.

Obviously if you’re going to attack police you need to be restrained. No police officer in the world should be kicking someone in the head whilst on the floor. That’s grievous bodily harm, or even attempted manslaughter.

NotDavidTennant · 24/07/2024 21:33

Some people will justify any kind of bad police behaviour.

There is no context that can justify kicking someone in the head.

Newbutoldfather · 24/07/2024 21:33

Why are so many condoning the violent assault of a person who has already been subdued?!

Police cannot inflict retribution. That is why we have things like courts and prisons and a legal system.

I am amazed at some of the responses on here.

whynotwhatknot · 24/07/2024 21:34

for gods sake they punched an officcer in te face and broke ttheir nose

dont fuk about in airports
