If there's a ruckus like that with officers injured then I'm glad they use force . They aren't the bloody social services and these lowlifes deserve a bit of tough handling to get the situation under control.

Never mess with armed police.

RookieMa · 24/07/2024 21:30

It's shown completely out of context as per usual

The suspect was v v violent prior to the video

The police were armed and had to react in such a way the suspect could not get hold of their firearms

Before people post do some background research first

He kicked him whilst he was on the floor how was he going to get any firearms from that particular position? He didn't need to be kicked in the head at that point. Let's be realistic.

The men involved violently abused 3 officers. Sounds like they deserved some robust policing

Exactly

usernamerequiredplease · 24/07/2024 21:35

Not the place for female officers at all.

supersonicginandtonic · 24/07/2024 21:35

The video made me feel sick.

The man was already on the floor so there was absolutely no need to kick him in the head

usernamerequiredplease · 24/07/2024 21:37

Fuck around and find out

Greentreesandbushes · 24/07/2024 21:38

The police officer is out of control. I hope that he is a charged as a civilian and serves time.

MiddleagedBeachbum · 24/07/2024 21:38

Can’t believe the amount of people justifying the police!
Shocking awful behaviour, no excuse whatsoever!

Ottervision · 24/07/2024 21:39

I wonder how many people would be saying fuck around and find out if it's someone they knew.

Police should absolutely restrain someone if they need to. They can use reasonable force. This wasn't reasonable. He could have killed him. Regardless of whatever this man did, this was categorically not the way to resolve it.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/07/2024 21:40

No-body knows what happened prior to this unless they were there .
I wasn't and I;m willing to bet no-one else posting on here was there either .

It doesn't matter what happened prior to this. This wasn't a reasonable reaction from a police officer.

WorriedMama12 · 24/07/2024 21:42

I couldn't reappu care less about some rat who has violently assaulted police officers getting a kick to the head.

LizzeyBenett · 24/07/2024 21:44

Surely that could be considered attempted murder ? You kick someone in the head there is a good chance you could kill them

Ottervision · 24/07/2024 21:46

WorriedMama12 · 24/07/2024 21:42

And then when it progresses to "some rat" who the police presumed to do something worse than they did? And then when its "some rat" whos innocent? And then when it's "some rat" who they don't like the gender or race of?

That all okay? Because you allow and endorse this and that's what happens. Look at America. Do you want that? I certainly don't.

frecklejuice · 24/07/2024 21:46

And this is why no one wants to be a police officer anymore, every single thing is recorded by someone and the arsehole causing havoc then becomes the victim and the police are vilified.

Peterbeardwy · 24/07/2024 21:47

I’ll save my sympathy for the female officer violently attacked for just doing her job

Ottervision · 24/07/2024 21:47

I mean surely the solution to that is you do your job properly no?

Absolutely. Three officers were taken to hospital for treatment, with one female officer suffering a broken nose. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Berga · 24/07/2024 21:50

Bullshit was it justified force. That copper lost his temper. It wasn't even self defence at that point. He is lucky he didn't kill him.

Newbutoldfather · 24/07/2024 21:52

@SeeSeeRider ,

‘Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.’

And where does that end. You happy if police kick a violent offender to death (which could easily have happened)?

Would you like to live in a police state or one where police are also citizens under the law? I know what I want and expect from a professional police force.

I hope the policeman who did it goes to jail.

This. People only responding to the bit they can see and nothing prior

If it was America he’d have about 13 bullet holes in him. I’d say he got let off lightly

Oh ffs. Being slightly less shit than America really wasn't the point I was making. By saying this is okay you're encouraging behaviour just like that. Would you be happy if the police starting killing people at the drop of a hat? Honestly?

Exactly this!
That behaviour from the police officer was shocking to say the least. It was pure rage which could have had disastrous consequences.

Peterbeardwy · 24/07/2024 21:25

Don’t assault women
Don’t assault armed officers
Dont fuck about in airports

Edited

Absolutely agree!
Can you imagine 'sorry about the airport bombing, we had to make sure we were nice'.
