Maybe if people feared the police they wouldn't be routinely assaulted

Police should be trusted not feared.

ArseholeCatIsABlackAndWhiteCat · 25/07/2024 11:29

@cauliflowercheeseplease why don't you start a thread about the police officers that were assaulted ? They would get lots of sympathy and rightly so.

This thread is about the man being kicked in the head.

PennyBob · 25/07/2024 11:37

On a lighter note, the blokes in the background casually using the ticket machines with chaos erupting at their feet is amusing to watch, despite the carnage. It'll be interesting to see what IOPC publish.

honestyISkind · 25/07/2024 11:38

People who whine about criminals being hurty wurted deserve to experience exactly what the victims did - in this case the police were assaulted. If this happened to you you'd be homicidal.

The criminals got what they deserved.

I really don’t think there is a need to start another thread. Jesus Christ 🙄 this site is terrible. Full of rude, disrespectful, argumentative and bored people

If your automatic response to assault is a kick in the head that’s on you, but I’ve defended myself against violent people and not resorted to kicking them in the head and turning “homicidal”. If you have such poor control over your emotions and reactions you shouldn’t be a police officer. It’s unsafe.

This isn’t some lone woman or even man walking down the street at night doing everything they can do defend themselves against a random attack and getting understandably carried away.

The police officer who was assaulted had back-up and support in their fellow officers and the person was now lying on the floor, so were not such an immediate risk that they needed to have their heads kicked.

Yes. The whiny OP WOULD be homicidal. Entitled, clueless fools go berserk when anyone hurts them, yet expect assaulted police to say naughty naughty there there.

The criminals got what they deserved.

AutumnColours9 · 25/07/2024 11:47

Disgusting. I know so many police who were already controlling but then became much worse after joining.

cupcaske123 · 25/07/2024 11:48

cauliflowercheeseplease · 25/07/2024 10:36

The bits that you don't see though are the 3 already assaulted police officers who all required hospital treatment.

The press and public all like to show the world the parts where the Police look bad but neglect to show the rest.

Hopefully the 3 officers injured make a full recovery

Do you mean that the man lying on the floor should be punished with a good kicking because police officers were injured?

Jollylollylee · 25/07/2024 11:48

Yeah it often attracts a certain type of man unfortunately. It doesn’t apply to all of them but a significant amount of the police force.

Jackanory would love to hear more.

And I didn't say I would be homicidal I said the whiny entitled OP would. She'd scream blue murder at a slap and like all privileged twits second guesses everyone while utterly clueless.

The criminals got what they deserve.

MrsSkylerWhite · 25/07/2024 11:50

Since when does robust policing mean stamping on someone’s head when they’re already being held on the ground?

Literally just answered this so go back and read 👍🏻

Postapocalypticcowgirl · 25/07/2024 11:51

I don't think it matters what happened prior to the video, it appears that the officer involved has lost his temper, which is scary from an armed officer.

I know school staff who have been violently assaulted by students, and in some cases have to use restraint. None of them would come near to this level of force and they wouldn't lose control like that. Why should police be held to a lower standard?

The criminal thug who assaulted a woman and broke her nose deserved exactly that.

Don't be a violent criminal thug and expect anyone to react with a naughty naughty there there.

He got precisely what he deserved.

Are you American? That’s about the level of IQ they have over there in regards to policing.

I’d go berserk if a highly trained police officer kicked me in the head whilst I was defenceless on the ground.

Police are not there to offer retribution, that is for the court system. Why is that so hard to understand?

The police officer used unnecessary excessive force and will no doubt lose their job so it's not condonable.

The person on the receiving end broke a female officer's nose so my sympathies are limited. Play silly games win silly prizes. That's not to say it's ok, it's not. But still...

When what happened to the police who were assaulted happens to every second guessing twit they'll finally get it.

The criminal thugs got exactly what they deserved.

reesewithoutaspoon · 25/07/2024 11:55

The police aren't there to dispense retribution, that's what the courts and prison are for.
They neutralised the threat, he was face down on the floor.
I get that they might have been angry, but that doesn't give them the right to kick someone's head in when they are no longer a threat. It's not that police officers job to dispense retribution.and I don't want to see police officers who think they have that right

Actually, it is ok. Perfectly acceptable normal human reaction to being assaulted by a thug.

They won't lose their jobs. No chance.
